Chapter 37 - Please dont buy

Pamela's POV

The air that morning felt thick, like something big was about to happen. I barely slept, but I looked in the mirror and made myself stand up straight. This day wasn't just about what I wanted—it was about my family's good name, the business I was trusted to run, and what would happen to my group in the future.

"Pamela," Amarok said from the other side of the door, his voice calm and sure. "It's time to go."

I straightened my nice suit, a dark gray one with sharp lines that made me seem untouchable, and put on my heels. My brothers walked beside me as we left the big house. Every step made me think about how much I was responsible for, but also how strong I had become.

We got to the State Defense Headquarters, a tall glass building that looked out over the city. Regular people in suits were guarding the entrance, and they looked at us coldly. They didn't know what I really was, or what was in my blood. They just saw me as a young woman fighting powerful men.
