Ficool

Chapter 7 - Sister

Princess Louise sits on her cushions, eating the meal she ordered. She cuts a bite of foie gras with a knife and takes it to her mouth with a fork. She grabs the piece of foie gras with her teeth, hiding behind her pink lips, and takes out the fork from her mouth. After chewing, sometimes she swallows the piece of foie gras she put in her mouth.

With calm in her tone and action, she started eating the meal gently. Then, while eating the meal, the woman who took the food to her came back with a glass of wine and a glass. She whispered with a smile while putting the bottle of wine 'Brume Pourpre' on the table.

Princess Louise nodded with a smile and then whispered with calmness, "Thanks, young lady, but can I get water too?"

That woman, who seemed to be embarrassed a little, replied with a smile, "I'm sorry, ma'am. We apologize for disappointing you. Our worker must have forgotten to put a pot of water on this table."

Princess Louise smiled while chewing the meal in her mouth. "It's ok; humans are known for making mistakes after all."

Then that young woman left hurriedly, and after a short time, she returned with a beautiful glass jug filled with water. She put it down and whispered with a smile, "Ma'am, is there anything you want?"

Princess Louise shook her head while saying, after swallowing the food in her mouth, "No, I don't need anything. Thanks for asking."

Then, after a nod, that young woman left. Other than that woman, other young women and men came into the room to different tables to deliver what they ordered.

Princess Louise thinks in her mind while eating the meal. Well, they don't know; I heard them… And not even those petals of flowers put in the vase knew I'd use them… to hear their conversation.

After some time, Princess Louise had finished eating the meal she ordered. There was nothing left on the plates other than vegetables after the beef Wellington. She cleans her mouth with the piece of cloth she takes out from her dress's cloth belt around her waist. And then she put the last remains of some wine from the bottle into the glass.

She takes some sips and finishes the wine. Then she put the glass down and whispered with a calm and refreshing tone, "This wine and foie gras—this is the best meal I have had until now in my life."

She stood up from her place and then set her clothes. She didn't pay attention to the bounty hunter she heard and then went toward the door of the room to leave the room. She opened the door and came out of the room with a calm walk.

The guard from before who placed the order for a meal was standing near the counter, waiting for her to come out. As he saw the princess, he came near to her with hurried steps. He whispered with a smile, "My lady… did you eat well?"

She nodded with a serious tone and spoke with a commanding tone, "Well, now let's go; we should be going. And this journey toward Velgravia is going to be a bit interesting."

He saw her with a little shock and then smiled. He moved his body toward the guards who were standing outside the auberge. He whispered with respect in his tone, "Princess, your horse is ready."

She didn't reply but moved on toward the door of the auberge to leave, but then she turned back and stared at the auberge's hall, where people sitting on chairs lay on the sidewall of the auberge's hall. Some people are standing in front of a wooden counter while a woman standing inside the counter hears them; other people are coming and leaving the dining room of the auberge.

She stares at the wooden wall and ceiling and focuses on those candles and gas lamps fixed on the wall and some hanging on the ceiling. Then she whispered with a little sadness in her voice, "I'll miss this auberge; it's the best auberge I have ever lived in. Though it doesn't have a private bath for rooms, it's still ok."

Then she moved toward the door to leave, and the guard followed her toward the other royal guards standing outside the auberge.

She reached out toward her white horse, which had long silver hair. There were some black spots on its whole body. Making it beautiful. She reached her hand to the saddle on the horse's back and climbed onto its back to sit.

She sits properly on the horse's back after adjusting her dress. She arranged her dress to ensure it wouldn't hinder her while riding.

She then grabbed the bridle of the horse, which was made of leather and was brown. Then she moved the bridle to her right to move her horse to turn it toward the royal guards standing beside her and ready to take orders from her.

She pulls the bridle of the horse, and the horse rears. After the horse reared, she put her right hand on the neck of the horse and then looked at the soldiers with a commanding tone and whispered with depth in her voice, "We are ready to leave for Velgravia."

"The work we have sent her has been done; now we don't have to stand in Caelvara for long."

As she was speaking, the guards shouted a little while some only nodded, and they were all ready to leave with her. Princess Louise turned her horse toward the central residential area of Caelvara's capital city while keeping her right hand on the horse's neck.

She whispered with a calm and silent voice, "So long, nation of freedom… May I be able to spend more time here?"

Then she turned her eyes to the horse and stroked its silver hair with her right hand while leaning her head a little toward the horse's head. "Starlace, it's time for us to journey again. May you catch the wind."

Then, after she had spoken, she pulled up the bridle of her horse, Starlace. With another rear, the horse seems to be excited. Then Princess Louise spoke with interest, "Let's go…"

As she spoke, her horse started running toward the exit of the capital city of Caelvara to leave the empire. Her guards follow her. There were a total of 30 to 34 guards with her.

As the horses of the army cross through the main plaza's side of Caelvara's capital city, Hanveraine. People stare at them as they all leave. The group crossed through the side of a street near the plaza's entrance.

There, behind the wall, Henry was standing while smiling. He put his hands in his pants' pocket and stared at the blue sky. He whispered with a breath taken out from his mouth, "Sigh, ah, sister, please be safe; I can't lose you. You are the only gift the queen left for me."

As he was speaking, Éloïse hit him on his head with her hand a little and spoke up with an awkward tone, "You are here secretly standing and seeing your sister going, while leaving your work undone in the shop…"

She was suddenly shocked and spoke with interest, "Wait, did you just call Princess of Velgravia, the youngest daughter of Queen Victoria and King Augustus, Princess Louise, your sister?"

Henry stared at her while taking back the wall and nodded without speaking. Then Éloïse looked at him and whispered, "I don't want to force you to tell me about your past, but if you ever feel free to tell me, it'd be an honor."

Henry again nodded while staring at the sky, then he let out a voice and then spoke, "Oao, it's not like a real family; she isn't my blood-related sister. She is just my sister because Queen Victoria said so before her death. She said that I protect her like she is my sister. So, yeah, I have to follow my queen's order."

Henry turned toward her, leaving the wall, and taking out his hand from his pocket, "Well, the rest of the story she will tell you… She knows my every secret, like a sister should. Even she knows my weakness."

Then he leaves the place, leaving Éloïse in a situation that she can't digest. She remained there for a moment without moving, then she put her hand on her hat and took it off, and then with her other hand she brushed her hair and put the hat back on.

She came back to the shop and saw that Henry was standing near a customer, showing her the perfumes. Then she leans in close and stands quietly. Henry didn't pay attention to her and gave that girl a bottle of perfume that she liked, and then she took it to the counter to buy it.

Éloïse remained a little shocked, but with resolve in her tone, she spoke with a smile, "Well, I didn't know you knew that much about fragrance."

He let out an awkward sigh and then spoke with awkwardness in his voice, "I know about girls' things more than a girl should; it's because of Princess Amelia. She is the reason I knew what kind of unusual taste you females have."

She smiled, and then, after some control, she let out a gentle laugh. She made a punch with her fist and put her knuckles on his chest while speaking, "Well, you better; your wife will be lucky, because her husband will know everything she needs."

Henry didn't answer but left the place with an awkward sigh. He goes near the counter and sits in the chair.

One and a half hours have passed since Princess Louise left the Caelvara…

The group of royal guards on horses follows Princess Louise while she is at the head of the group. The area was open, and there seemed to be forest on both the left and right sides of the horses. The ground was full of grass that was covering the soil. The grass seems to be wet from the winter's fog.

Princes Louise think in her mind while riding the horse, "This place is better than any palace… But how does it grow if wars were happening on this same ground?"

She pulled the bridle of her horse when she reached near the forest of Velgravia and whispered with a calm tone, "Come out, bounty hunters."

As they stopped and spoke those words, the group of royal guards stopped and took out their weapons. Some take out guns and rifles, while some take out bows and swords.

Four horses came out of the forest, which was hidden in big and leafy bushes. They all seemed to be in their late 20s, all wore cowboy caps, and were in cowboy dress. They all wear masks on their faces.

Princess Louise spoke with a serious tone, "Come… Let's see what you have got." The princess signaled her guards to be ready for a fight, and then she whispered while staring at the bounty hunters, "Who's your leader?"

One of the bounty hunters whispered with a playful tone, "We don't have a boss; we're all bosses."

Princess Louise smiled and whispered with a tone, "What do you choose, fighting with guards or fighting with me all alone?"

The bounty hunter spoke with interest, "Let's gamble on our lives. Why don't you make it on one? We'll send our one member, and you will send yours, and the one who remains last will fight with the other member. How does that sound, Princess…"

Princess Louise let out a gentle laugh and whispered with interest, "It's a good way to use gambling on lives. I agree with it." She gets off her horse while all the guards get shocked and hurriedly get off their horses too.

Princess Louise took some steps closer and whispered with a deep tone, "I'll be the first fighter from my team."

All guards were shocked and had wide-open mouths; the bounty hunters let out a laugh, and then one of the bounty hunters came closer and put his hand on his gun. The air got thicker around them. All the guards seem to be panicked.
