Chapter 9 - Witch

The dim light from the lamps illuminated the underground tavern where the Ordre du Miroir Noir is based. Members of the Ordre du Miroir Noir sat around the table, enjoying their wine. Éloïse moved out of the stairs, which were coming from the upper area of Caelvara.

She walked straight toward the room near the counter of the tavern. She opened the oak door of the room and entered without any warning or knock. The members who were sitting outside looked at her while she entered. But then again, after that, they were focused on what they were doing before.

The room was dimly lit with lamps; there was no window in the room. The room had only some chairs, and on one of the chairs, a man was bound; his hair was red in some parts, while it was mostly white, and the red color wasn't natural, but it was covered with blood.

His eyes were blindfolded, and on his face and clothes was blood. Four people were standing around him, gripping their fists a little tight, like they would hit him right away.

As Éloïse entered the room, those people looked backward to check who had come into the room, and as they found out who Éloïse was, they all stood away and didn't speak at all.

Éloïse, while putting her hand on her cap and taking it off her head, speaks with a serious tone, "Did he open his mouth?"

One of those people answered in an awkward tone, "Nope, he is still loyal like a dog to his queen…" He turned toward her while his black hair, which was tied on his back, moved as he moved his head, then whispered while keeping staring at her with his brown eyes, "Éloïse, let me do it with my powers. I'm sure he will tell everything before dying."

Éloïse raised her eyes toward him with seriousness. Then, while staring at him, she whispered, "Hell no; we can't trade his life for info."

She then moved toward another chair near the bound person, placed her hat on it, leaned in close to them, and took out her lace gloves from the belt of her waist. She wears those gloves gently while whispering, "If force language didn't work, let me use my love language."

Then she opened her palm, and a bottle of perfume appeared in her hand; the perfume was yellow. She took off the blindfold from that person's eyes and then spoke with a playful tone, "Darling, now would you want me to use my love language on you…"

That person who was breathing heavily whispered with loudness, "You traitors, I'll not be like you; I'll never betray my nation."

She then put her hand on his face, brushing his wounds on his face like a lover. She gently set his hair with her hand. She then shook her head in disappointment and whispered with a deep tone, while still holding her hands on his face, "Oh, darling, don't blame me after I use my love language; it was all your decision."

She then grabbed his mouth a little harshly and forced it open, then she turned her left hand to her back, which had a perfume bottle in it, and she then whispered with a calm tone, "Open it." Then one of the people behind her opened the cap of the bottle, and then she turned her hand back to the person.

She put that perfume bottle's mouth in that person's mouth and let go of his face with her right hand, then she stood still while hitting the back of the perfume bottle, which caused it to pour into his mouth completely.

He screamed, but the scream didn't get loud because of the perfume bottle in his mouth. Then she turned toward her order's member and whispered, "He'll fall asleep a little while after that, then his wound will heal, so when he sleeps, wake him up and beat him up, then again drink him this perfume potion and repeat the process until he speaks."

Those members were terrified a little, then nodded with respect on their faces. Then she leaves the room after putting her hat back on her head.

As she stepped outside the room, she found Henry sitting in front of her chair, drinking water from a glass. He was staring at the member of the order and then whispered with a clean, serious face, "Well, you know what you are going against, Aureth."

She didn't reply; instead, she kept moving and then sat next to Henry. She put her elbow on the table and then rested her chin softly on her palm, staring into Henry's grey eyes with her golden eyes.

She speaks with a beautiful sound that she has never spoken before. "Oh dear, ah, I don't think so… According to people, Aureth has already left the Lunévare."

Henry nodded and then spoke after taking a sip from the water glass he was holding, "Well, what if I say Aureth is here in Caelvara?"

Éloïse didn't reply, nor did she give a reaction. Henry kept continuing, "Just kidding, Aureth is in Cologne Cathedral."

Éloïse, shocked, stood up from her place while saying loudly, "You are saying he is in Droswick? But why? That country has beef with every nation and other small countries."

She narrowed her eyes around and saw that people in the tavern were staring at her. She felt a little embarrassed and whispered, "Hmph, my apologies." Then she sat down on her chair gently.

Henry raised his hand and snapped it in the air, and as the snap ended, he disappeared from his place. Éloïse's tone turned awkward as she saw Henry vanish, then she thought in her mind while resting both her hands on the table.

He must have heard something. Anyway, he didn't make a single move until today. It's been five days since he came here to Caelvara.

She raised her head and spoke up with a desire in her tone, "Hey, give me a bottle of wine."

In Maison des Parfums Moreau shop…

Henry was near a shelf of perfume, near a woman who seemed to be 24 years old. Her purple hair was open under her witch-type hat, her purple eyes staring at the shelf of perfumes to find a perfume. She closed her hand and looked confused.

Henry spoke with a smile and put his hand on the shelf to take one of the bottles of perfume. "This will suit you, young lady." She stared at him, and after a short time, she grabbed the bottle of perfume, which had a purple color of perfume in it.

She whispered while using some drops of perfume on her hand and smelling it, "This matches my style."

Then she gave Henry two notes of 100 Aurex and whispered with a smile, "Remain is your tip, my boy." Henry bowed with a smile but then stood tall while whispering with an awkward tone, "Can you please not call me 'my boy'?" I know you are older, but it feels like you are my mother."

She nodded while smiling and left the shop. Henry gave the money back to Leo, who was standing at the counter, and said with a smile, "With my tips' money, you can enjoy. Anyway, I have work to do… So I'll be back after a long time; tell Éloïse, ok?"

Leo smiled, and with a pleasant face, he nodded. Then Henry snapped, and he disappeared from the shop, leaving Leo shocked and happy too.

In a cafe of the capital city, Hanveraine…

Henry entered the cafe from the entry door and then looked at the interior of the cafe, which was made of wood and glass. It was lit up because of the sunlight coming from the glass. Outside of the cafe, a musician was singing while playing the violin.

Henry sits on the chair at the table where the woman from before was sitting. Then a young girl who seemed to be 18 years old came and whispered, "Sir, what would you like to drink or eat? Coffee or tea and pastry or cookies."

Henry looked at her and, with a smile, whispered, "Black coffee only, please." And then that woman with a witch hat whispered, "A cup of green tea."

That girl nodded and left with a smile.

Henry looked at that woman and then rested his hand on the table while whispering, "Takeda Waguri, leader of witches, who has beef with King Arthur Pendragon. And the one who killed Marlin."

She didn't react, nor did she speak, but instead let Henry speak. Henry continued with depth in his tone, "Now tell me, old lady, how's my plan progressing?" As Henry speaks those words, her face seems to be annoyed.

She raised her hat a little and stared at Henry with anger in her eyes. "Boy, mind your language. I'm barely 700 years old…"

Henry was scared a little and then spoke with respect in his voice, "Ok… ok, little girl." She raised her head to stare into Henry's eyes, and then she spoke with a deadly tone, "You don't love your life, boy."

Henry laughed a little and then spoke with a deep tone and serious face, "Did King Augustus do as I planned?"

She didn't give a reaction from her face, nor did she reply hurriedly; she let out a sigh and then whispered while lowering her witch hat. "Yeah… He did."

After hearing this, Henry's face lit up, and then, without showing emotion, he rested his elbow on the table and closed his hands with each near his mouth. His eyes look like they're finding a new way of living.
