"Don't say something so stupid!" Vegeta suddenly shouted. "Kakarot, kill them! Kill them now, while you still can!"
But Goku said, "They're already on their last breath. There's no need to finish them off."
Hearing that, Jeice felt a humiliation he had never known before.
They were a five-man elite unit gathered from across the universe—how could they lose to some guy with such low battle power? And not only lose—he hadn't even given them a chance to fight back.
Since continuing would be pointless, Jeice didn't take Recoome or Burter with him. He flew straight back to Frieza's spaceship by himself.
Goku scratched his head, confused. "I don't get it… why didn't he take his teammates with him? Sorry about that. Too bad—I'm out of senzu beans."
The moment he finished speaking, Vegeta suddenly rushed over and stomped on Burter's head, ending his life for good. Then he fired a shockwave that blasted Recoome into fragments.
Seeing that, Goku's voice turned heavy. "What are you doing? Didn't I just say there's no need to kill them? They can't even fight back anymore!"
Vegeta snorted coldly. "Don't act merciful in front of me. It makes me want to puke. Why did you just stand there and let that guy escape? With your current strength, you should've been able to deal with him easily. Which means you still haven't completely become a Super Saiyan."
Goku was about to reply, but Creed cut him off. "Enough. Vegeta's right. You'll understand later."
Since Creed had spoken, Goku didn't press the issue. He turned the topic instead. "Super Saiyan? What's that?"
Vegeta said in a deep voice, "I'm guessing you think you're already strong—pretty amazing, huh? But with strength like yours, you can't beat Frieza. Unless you have an immortal life, you'll never be able to imagine how terrifying Frieza really is."
Goku replied, "I'm not overestimating myself. I just think I've gotten very strong. You still think I can't defeat Frieza?"
"Correct." Vegeta answered without hesitation. "If you plan to fight him, you'd better be prepared. That bastard's strength is far beyond what you can even imagine."
Gohan said awkwardly, "Vegeta… isn't that kind of exaggerated? You saw it just now—Dad's gotten so strong. How could there be someone in this world Dad can't beat?"
Vegeta said indifferently, "Then go experience it for yourselves. Frieza already has all seven Dragon Balls—so he's probably gained immortality. From how things look now, we've lost our chance to win. All we can do is pray we don't run into him."
Goku said, "I don't think he made the wish yet. If the Dragon Balls here work like Earth's, then when the dragon appears it should immediately turn dark. But it's still daylight, so he probably hasn't wished yet."
Gohan realized the same thing, and the tightness in his chest eased. Vegeta, who had never seen Earth's Dragon Balls, quickly asked, "Dragon? What is that? You're saying when the Dragon Balls gather, something comes out?"
"Yes," Goku said. "They don't know how to summon the dragon. They probably think just placing the balls together will grant a wish. We still have a chance to make our wish, Gohan. Maybe… even the people who died on Earth can be brought back."
As he spoke, he looked at Vegeta. "Vegeta, you know Frieza well, right? Is there a better way to deal with him? I remember King Kai telling me not to fight Frieza."
Vegeta sneered. "What's the point of making some boring wish like that? If you were smart, you'd let me become immortal instead. Jeice will bring Captain Ginyu to get revenge on you right away. When that happens, no matter how strong you are, you can't beat him alone. But where did Frieza run off to? He should've gotten the Dragon Balls from Ginyu and stayed in the spaceship."
Creed pointed toward the southwest and said slowly, "I can feel an extremely strong ki far away in that direction. That should be Frieza."
"That direction is…" Gohan sucked in a breath. "That's where the Grand Elder is! I get it—Frieza doesn't know how to summon the dragon, so he's gone to interrogate the Namekians directly. This is bad! If they force the method out of them, the Grand Elder will definitely be killed. And if the Grand Elder dies, the Dragon Balls will vanish too!"
At the same time
While Ginyu was training low-level soldiers, Jeice returned and reported that the other three had been defeated.
"What did you say?!" Ginyu couldn't believe his ears. "Guldo, Recoome, and Burter were taken down?!"
Jeice nodded. "Yes. The enemy is so strong it's unbelievable."
That only made Ginyu angrier. He barked, "What kind of crap is that?! We're the Ginyu Force—the strongest team in the entire universe! Aside from Lord Frieza, how could anyone possibly be stronger than the Ginyu Force?!"
Jeice hurriedly said, "I used to think so too, but the facts are the facts. Captain, please contact Lord Frieza right away!"
Only then did Ginyu understand: the battle readings of those three disappearing wasn't a scouter malfunction after all.
But there was no way he would ever report something this humiliating to Frieza.
And since Frieza wasn't here right now, Ginyu decided to personally head out—show Jeice what the correct way to fight looked like.
He ordered his men to bury the Dragon Balls underground, then he and Jeice headed toward the battlefield.
Just as Goku and the others were about to rush to the Grand Elder's location, Ginyu and Jeice dropped down from the sky.
Jeice put his hands on his hips and said, "Thanks for taking such good care of us earlier. Now our captain is going to personally come down and punish you."
Goku's brows knit slightly, his expression turning cautious.
He could feel it—this newcomer's battle power was far stronger than the previous three, by several times over.
Ginyu activated his scouter, looked at the number displayed, and said grimly, "You idiots… you're the ones who suffered because you care too much about the scouter's numbers."
