Burter suddenly shouted, "Jeice, haven't we played around long enough?"
Jeice froze for a moment, then said a little awkwardly, "You go down first. Throw two or three punches and beat him up."
Burter clenched his teeth and could only brace himself and go for it. But he wasn't stupid enough to charge in head-on. Instead, he landed far away from Goku and fired off a white shockwave.
Goku stood there without moving. The shockwave skimmed past his body and slammed into the slope behind him. Seizing that opening, Jeice kept flicking his fingers, firing red laser-like beams nonstop, all of them striking Goku.
The beams sank in like they were being absorbed—no reaction at all. No explosion, no rebound, not even a tear in his clothes.
Jeice ground his teeth. "This guy is looking down on us! The infamous Ginyu '907' Special Force that makes everyone tremble!"
The two of them could no longer tolerate Goku's attitude. They leaped down together, standing in front of him and behind him.
Jeice was just about to move
A sharp pain exploded across his face.
Goku had already punched him.
A completely ordinary punch, yet Jeice took ages to recover. Burter stared, stunned.
"Damn it...!"
"Say whatever you want," Goku said calmly. "But you two are way too careless."
"What did you say?!"
They both threw punches at the same time—bang!
Goku casually lifted a hand and blocked both attacks. Then he raised his leg and swept it across, kicking them off their feet. Before they could even get up, Goku spread his arms, let out a roar, and the ki shockwave alone blasted them flying dozens of meters away.
Jeice's face was drenched in sweat as he yelled, "What the hell is going on?! What did you just do?!"
Ever since joining the Ginyu Force, he had never suffered such humiliation. No matter what kind of enemy they faced, their power always crushed them.
And yet now couldn't beat a single Saiyan!
Furious, the two rushed in again, but the moment they charged up to Goku, they were forced back by his gaze alone. Neither of them even dared to strike, terrified he would catch an opening and punish them for it.
Gohan was completely dumbstruck.
Jeice and Burter's battle power should be about the same as Recoome's, and Recoome was a monster even Vegeta couldn't beat.
Could it be that Goku had already become that strong?
Jeice couldn't understand it at all. The scouter showed Goku's battle power was only three thousand—so why couldn't he do anything to him?
Only Creed knew the reason.
To avoid wasting strength, Goku only raised his ki at the instant of attack. And his attacks happened in the blink of an eye—so fast that the scouter couldn't detect his true battle power.
Burter and Jeice began gathering ki in midair. Their auras merged together, and countless pink ki spheres rained down on Goku like a storm.
Under that gunfire-like barrage, Goku simply planted his stance, clenched his fists, and drew a Barrier around his body with his ki. None of the spheres even touched him before shattering into pieces.
The instant the spheres burst, enormous booms erupted whipping up massive clouds of dust in every direction.
When the smoke cleared, Jeice's hatred only deepened.
Their combined attack hadn't harmed Goku in the slightest.
"Jeice!" Burter suddenly called out. "In this situation, you fire a Hakai Kōkyū (Destruction Orb) first. With his speed, he should dodge it. While he's desperately weaving around, I'll sneak in and hit his back. No matter how fast he is, he still can't be faster than me—the fastest in the universe!"
Jeice nodded, gritting his teeth. "Seriously... wasting this much time on a piece of trash with three thousand battle power."
With that, he released a huge red ki orb. Burter also got ready, prepared to follow the plan.
But Goku just stood there, not moving at all.
When the orb reached him, he lifted a hand and flicked it away.
The orb flew straight toward Burter's position.
Burter instantly dodged, then tried to dive down for his sneak attack—only to find Goku was no longer there.
As he frantically searched around, Goku appeared behind him.
Remembering Jeice's warning, Burter quickly turned and retreated more than ten meters, pulling back to what he believed was a safe distance. Still, he forced out a stubborn line:
"You actually dared to appear behind the man known as the fastest in the universe...!"
Goku crossed his arms and grinned. "If that's the case, then you should be ranked second."
Jeice almost felt like he was having a nightmare.
This guy not only deflected the Destruction Orb—he also got behind Burter without either of them noticing.
Burter shouted, "Who are you?!"
Goku replied, "Someone once said I'm a Saiyan who grew up on Earth."
"Quit joking!" Burter waved a hand. "A Saiyan's speed can't be that fast. But speed alone won't beat me. All you can do is run. When you get tired and your movements slow down, that's when you die!"
With that, he charged in.
Punches and kicks poured out nonstop. Their figures turned into countless afterimages in the sky—but it was only Burter attacking and Goku defending.
Their speed kept climbing until, in the end, Gohan's eyes couldn't even follow them anymore.
Jeice joined in as well. The two of them believed Goku only had time to dodge and couldn't possibly counterattack. As long as they kept pounding away, they would catch him sooner or later.
Then
Goku's figure vanished from their sight.
The two didn't react in time and kept attacking wildly.
Bang!
Jeice's punch smashed into Burter's face, and Burter's kick slammed into Jeice's stomach.
Goku stood not far away and said, "Do you want to see it?"
"I'm not just faster than you," he continued. "That's not the only thing I beat you with."
In the next instant, his figure disappeared again.
And when they caught sight of him again, the pain followed immediately.
Goku's kick crashed into Burter's face, blasting him down from the sky. When Burter was about to hit the ground, Goku appeared beneath him and drove a punch straight into his stomach.
Two strikes.
That was all it took to strip Burter of the ability to move.
Jeice was completely terrified. He froze in midair, not daring to move a single inch.
"Now you understand, right?" Goku said. "I'll advise you not to keep fighting pointlessly. That guy and the big brute from earlier aren't dead yet. Take them and leave this planet while you still can."
