Ha-Joon and In-Su stood quietly on the balcony, gazing out at the breathtaking sunset.
The sky was ablaze with vibrant hues of orange, pink, and gold, casting a warm glow over the horizon.
A gentle breeze played with their hair, carrying the scent of dusk and the soft rustling of leaves.
In-Su sighed softly, then turned to Ji-Hoo with a serious expression.
"Hey, man… won't you go and clear up the misunderstanding between you and her?"
Ji-Hoo let out a deep breath and shook his head. "No, I can't… she said I'm her bad luck," he replied quietly.
In-Su offered a sad smile. "It's not like that," he said gently. "I mean, you're not perfect—no one is—but maybe it's just a mistake."
Ji-Hoo shook his head again, determination in his eyes. "The truth always comes out by mistake," he said softly.
In-Su sighed, frustration evident in his voice.
"Hey, one misunderstanding is so poisonous. That It makes us forget a hundred lovely moments we shared together..." He paused, then added with a gentle tone, "And it will only be resolved through communication. That's my advice."
He tapped Ji-Hoo's shoulder reassuringly, smiled warmly, and then turned to walk away, leaving Ji-Hoo lost in his thoughts as the sunset continued to fade into twilight.
The night was calm and serene, with a clear sky dotted with twinkling stars.
The moon cast a gentle silver glow over the world, illuminating the quiet surroundings.
A cool breeze drifted past, rustling the leaves and carrying a faint whisper of distant sounds.
Ha-Joon looked around nervously, then let out a sigh.
"My friend Joy isn't listening… what will we do?" he asked, his voice tinged with worry.
In-Su nodded thoughtfully.
"I gave Ji-Hoo some advice. Maybe he'll listen this time," he said, crossing his arms with a hopeful expression.
Ha-Joon muttered softly, "I do hope so…"
Suddenly, an idea sparked in In-Su's mind.
He gently reached out, taking Ha-Joon's face in his hand with a wide, mischievous grin.
"I have an idea. Let's make them meet now. Kidnap them and bring them here—to clear everything up," he said excitedly, his eyes gleaming with mischief.
Ha-Joon's face squished slightly under In-Su's hand, but he nodded quickly.
"Yeah, okay..." he agreed, a determined look crossing his face.
Without delay, they turned to act on the plan, ready to take action under the night sky.
-----------------------
under the cover of night, Ha-Joon and In-Su moved stealthily through the shadows, their plan unfolding.
Ha-Joon gently grasped Joy's wrist, covering her eyes with his hand to keep her from seeing where they were headed.
Simultaneously, In-Su did the same with Ji-Hoo, leading him forward with a firm grip.
"Ha-Joon, where are you taking me?" Joy's voice was tentative, tinged with curiosity and a hint of nervousness.
"In-Su, where are we going?" Ji-Hoo asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper.
Neither of them answered.
Instead, they quickened their pace and, with a sudden movement, flung Joy and Ji-Hoo toward each other.
The two collided gently, instinctively wrapping their arms around each other to prevent falling.
Joy looked up, her eyes searching his face in the dim moonlight. Her voice was trembling as she broke the silence.
"I… I'm sorry…" she whispered, her voice almost a plea.
Ji-Hoo's lips curled into a nervous smile, eyes flickering with a mixture of relief and lingering doubt.
"Yeah, me too," he replied softly, his voice steady but gentle.
A brief silence settled between them, heavy with unspoken feelings.
Then, Joy broke the quiet, her voice fragile but sincere.
"Ji-Hoo, I wanted to apologize for what I said the other day. It just slipped out from my mouth… I didn't mean to hurt you." She scratched her arm nervously, her eyes avoiding his.
Ji-Hoo's expression softened, and he reached out, taking her hand gently in his.
"No, it's okay. There's nothing to apologize for, I don't want to hear it from you. You weren't wrong—I don't blame you," he reassured her, his voice soothing.
'' You were absolutely right, I am the one who's supposed to apologize. I'm sorry I made your life difficult.'' he said softly '' You didn't hurt me''.
''No..'' she said in a low tone.
She looked up at him, her eyes shimmering with emotion.
"I'm sorry, Ji-Hoo… I realize now how much.... I love you, how much I miss you I can't leave without you. I've been so foolish, and I never wanted to lose you."
Ji-Hoo's face lit up with a tender smile.
"I miss you too, Joy your smile, everything, I just want to hold you to keep you warm for sometime." he whispered, his eyes shining with admiration and longing.
Without hesitation, he pulled her into a tight embrace, holding her close as if to keep her from slipping away again.
She clung to him, trembling with emotion, their hearts beating in sync under the quiet, starry night.
At the corner, In-Su and Ha-Joon shared a relieved, excited hug as they watched Joy and Ji-Hoo's tearful reunion.
Their faces lit with happiness, eyes shining with hope for the couple's reconciliation.
But suddenly, their smiles faded, replaced by concern as a stern voice cut through the night.
From the shadows emerged Joon-Seo, his face twisted with anger.
His voice boomed through the night air as he stormed forward, voice loud and commanding.
"Joy! Didn't you promise me you wouldn't meet up with that boy again?" he yelled, his eyes blazing with fury.
Without hesitation, he roughly yanked Joy's arm, pulling her close and gripping her tightly.
His gaze narrowed as he glared at Ji-Hoo. "And you," he sneered, "you dirty little thief and thug—get away from my sister! She doesn't want you," he spat, voice filled with contempt.
Before anyone could intervene, Yuki's voice cut sharply through the tension.
His eyes flashed with anger as she stepped forward, his voice icy.
"Neither us… nor our brother Ji-Hoo, likes you or Joy," he declared, his tone cold and unwavering.
Nira moved swiftly, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear, her expression fierce.
"Yeah, you'd better back off," she said firmly, her voice steady but with an edge of warning.
Joon-Seo's sneer deepened as he spat out, "Take your spoiled, money-hungry brother and get out of here."
Nira shot back immediately, her voice sharp. "Stop! Don't you see? We're already rich, which money is he begging for?,".
Joy cried desperately '' Joon-Seo stop, I love Ji-Hoo and he is not bad'' she said reaching out to clasp Ji-Hoo's hand.
But Joon-Seo yanked her back roughly, eyes narrowing with suspicion.
"No," he snapped, "he doesn't love you. He's just using you for more money."
Nira rolled her eyes, crossing her arms defensively. "We're already rich, so… why don't you just piss off?" she retorted, voice unwavering.
Yuki added coldly, "Yeah, you better piss off."
Joon-Seo clenched his fists and spat again, "You all shut up. Stay away from my sister!"
Tears welled in Joy's eyes again as she looked directly into Joon-Seo's furious gaze.
Her voice trembled but carried a note of determination.
"Stop… I told you a thousand times, I love him you just don't understand why?," she whispered eyes welling with tears, the corner of her mouth twisted down, she looked at Joon-Seo, then turn to Ji-Hoo,
''I'm sorry...'' she whispered then gently turned away. Ji-Hoo tried to follow her but Yuki stopped him.
Her shoulders shook as she started to walk off, Joon-Seo confused, and angry followed her silently.
Ji-Hoo sighed heavily, shoulders heavy with sadness and frustration, and quietly stepped away, leaving the Yuki and Nira behind.
Ha-Joon muttered under his breath, voice tinged with disappointment.
"Oh my god… they always come and ruin everything," he whispered, glancing at the scene with a mixture of anger and helplessness.
In-Su gently placed a reassuring hand on Ha-Joon's shoulder. "Don't worry. We'll deal with them," he said softly his voice calm and resolve.
As Ha-Joon and In-Su walked back to their rooms, the night air was cool and quiet, the streetlights casting a gentle glow on the path ahead.
Ha-Joon hesitated for a moment, then turned to In-Su with a small smile.
"Thanks, In-Su," he said softly, his voice filled with genuine gratitude.
"For helping me deal with all that. You're a great friend."
In-Su nodded, returning the smile warmly.
"Yeah, thank you too. Ji-Hoo is also my friend and I also see you as that—I'm just glad I could help," he replied sincerely.
But suddenly, Ha-Joon's smile faltered. His expression grew troubled as he looked down, a flicker of sadness passing through his eyes.
"What's wrong?" In-Su asked, noticing the change in his friend's demeanor.
Ha-Joon hesitated, voice trembling slightly. "I… I don't know… I feel like I'm such a bad friend," he admitted, tears prickling at the corners of his eyes.
He wiped at his face quickly, trying to hide his emotion.
"I couldn't help my friend when she needed me. She always helps me am just disappointing ."
In-Su's gaze softened, and he reached out gently, taking Ha-Joon's hand from his face.
"It's okay," he said softly, his voice reassuring.
"You're really trying your best. I've never seen a cute loyal friend like you.... You are amazing". He said softly placing a hand on his cheeks.
Ha-Joon's lips trembled as he managed a small, uncertain smile.
"Yeah… even so, I still feel bad, I couldn't help In-Su... I couldn't help..." he whispered, tears finally spilling over as he finally broke down, sobbing quietly.
In-Su shook his head gently and pulled Ha-Joon into a comforting hug.
Resting his chin on Ha-Joon's shoulder, he held him close, offering silent support as his friend's sobs racked his body.
"Don't worry, Ha-Joon-ah," In-Su whispered softly.
"We'll find a way. We'll talk things out. We'll make them understand. Don't worry Ha-Joon you're really awesome."
Ha-Joon clung to In-Su, his voice muffled as he whispered back, "Thank you…"
In-Su tightened his embrace, silently promising to stand by him, no matter what lay ahead.
