Chapter 23 - CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR: SOMEONE SAW MIRE.

The scene slowly zoomed out, revealing the night sky suddenly punctuated by a roaring clap of thunder.

The sound echoed across the stadium, followed by a wave of applause and cheers from the crowd.

It was no longer the beach — now, they were in a school stadium, decorated with fairy lights and filled with the warm glow of lanterns.

Some people wiped away tears of joy, while others simply smiled, overwhelmed by the evening's emotions.

After a while, the crowd began to disperse, and the group stepped outside the stadium, standing together under the starry sky.

Ha-Joon, Joy, Ji-Hoo, Nira, Joon-Seo, Yuki, and In-Su gathered in a loose circle, smiling proudly and chatting softly about the movie that went well.

'' I'm so glad this turned out well, everyone loved it..'' Ha-Joon said softly smiling warmly.

''And thanks for your help... Nira, Joon-Seo and Yuki.'' In-Su added, mask was off, smiling warmly.

''We're happy to help..'' Nira replied sweetly.

''Yeah it was fun...'' Yuki added smirking.

''Yeah don't mention it...'' Joon-Seo said waving his hands dismissively.

Nira and Ha-Joon shared a hug smiling, Joon-Seo only nodded, and Yuki poked them, smiling and laughing.

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps approached.

Mrs. Carla, Mr. Lee, Ji-Soo, and Se-Jin appeared, walking toward the group with gentle smiles. Mrs. Carla cleared her throat lightly, then smiled warmly.

"Well, that was a great movie. I really enjoyed it — I even shed a few tears," she said, her eyes twinkling with warmth.

Ha-Joon grinned widely. "Thanks, ma'am. The credit goes to all of us. We all did great," he said proudly.

Mr. Lee nodded in agreement. "I'm proud of you all," he said, patting each of their shoulders as they walked away with Mrs. Carla.

Ji-Soo turned toward the group, her eyes shining with excitement.

"Hey, I loved your movie I told you it was going to be a hit," she said enthusiastically.

''And you fulfilled your promise... By the way, In-Su you're handsome'' she added nodding enthusiastically,

''Thanks ''In-Su replied shyly.

"Thanks and yeah I fulfilled your promise am a keeper," Ha-Joon replied softly, a little shy but happy.

" And also I want to take a picture with you guys, to boast," Ji-Soo added, looking at everyone.

Se-Jin nodded in agreement.

''Yeah, am sorry she's such a yapper and very wild, but I will also like a picture please''. He said softly.

"Yeah, no pictures, please," Joon-Seo started to protest, reaching to pull away.

But Nira quickly grabbed him back.

"Oh no, we're taking this picture, with you" she declared with a grin.

Everyone gathered together, striking their best smiles.

Joy stood on the other side of the group, smiling brightly for the camera. Just as the shutter clicked, she heard a faint whisper echoing in her mind: "Mysta Glimmer, you have been called…", she frowned slightly before realizing.

Her eyes widened slightly.

Her heart pounded as she gulped and nodded quietly.

"I'm coming," she whispered softly, almost to herself.

Slowly, she pulled away from the group, tip toeing away.

Ji-Hoo, wanting to take a picture with her noticed her sudden change in demeanor, he looked around and when he saw her passing by a corner, he started to follow her.

She moved toward the back of the school, where she paused and struck a pose, her hands waving gently.

Suddenly, a circle of shimmering light appeared around her, glowing softly.

In the center, a voice echoed — clear yet distant, like a whisper carried on the wind.

"Mysta Glimmer, the side of Mire is under attack. We need you — your strength," the voice said, urgent and commanding.

Joy nodded in response, her face calm but determined.

"I'm coming," she whispered again.

Ji-Hoo's eyes widened in shock as he watched her.

Something deep inside told him to move forward — to follow her into whatever awaited beyond.

Without hesitation, the glowing portal suddenly opened, a bright yellow light spilling out.

Joy glanced around, hesitating for a moment before stepping toward it. The portal didn't close immediately.

Ji-Hoo, driven by instinct, looked around once more, then stepped forward into the glowing opening, following her into the unknown.

As Ji-Hoo stepped through the portal, he was instantly transported into a realm unlike anything he had ever seen — the angelic side of NightMire, the world of light and wonder.

Everywhere he looked, shimmering luminescence filled the air, casting a radiant glow that danced across floating islands, crystal-clear waterfalls, and vast skies streaked with iridescent colors.

Celestial beings with wings of pure light soared gracefully through the heavens, their presence exuding power, serenity, and grace.

Here, heroes and guardians with luminous auras wielded their superpowers effortlessly, their energy shimmering like rainbows, creating a symphony of brilliance that made the very air shimmer.

This was the divine realm of Mire — a breathtaking dimension where light and hope intertwined, a place of pure beauty and boundless magic. Ji-Hoo's lips curved into a quiet smile, overwhelmed by the serenity and awe of it all.

Suddenly, his gaze caught a figure walking ahead — a familiar silhouette moving gracefully toward a magnificent palace that sparkled like a jewel in the sky.

Without hesitation, Ji-Hoo began to follow her, his steps slow but steady, ignoring the myriad of celestial beings and the voices whispering softly around him.

His heart pounded with anticipation.

They entered the palace, an architectural marvel of shimmering marble and glowing light.

Ji-Hoo slipped behind a tall pillar, peeking cautiously. Through the gap, he saw Joy — dressed in the coolest, most extraordinary attire he had ever imagined.

She wore a sleek, futuristic armor made of shimmering, iridescent materials that reflected the light like liquid metal.

It was both elegant and powerful — a perfect blend of style and strength.

Over her shoulders, a flowing cape of radiant white fabric fluttered with every movement, and on her head, she sported a stylish cap with a sleek visor that shimmered with embedded gemstones.

Her entire look radiated confidence and authority, yet her gentle smile revealed her kindness.

Joy bowed gracefully before four figures seated on majestic thrones — the elemental leaders of this divine realm.

Their presence was commanding yet benevolent, their auras pulsating with the raw power of nature itself.

"Good morning, your majesties," Joy said with reverence, her voice steady. "I heard I've been called."

The leaders exchanged glances. Zephyria smiled softly and spoke. "Raise, Glimmer. You've been called. Yes, but it was a false alarm. We apologize."

Joy straightened, nodding respectfully.

"Thank you, your Majesties," she said, bowing again before gracefully turning to leave.

She moved with poise, her every step elegant yet commanding, as if she belonged to this realm.

Ji-Hoo's eyes followed her, transfixed as she moved toward an empty space — a portal shimmering with golden light, ready to send her back to their world.

His heart ached with longing and wonder.

"Joy," he called softly, stepping out from behind the pillar.

In an instant, she froze and slowly turned around, her eyes widening in shock — her expression a mixture of surprise and disbelief.

"Ji-Hoo!" she called out urgently as he ran toward her, his eyes filled with a mix of worry and determination.

"What are you doing here? How did you come here?" Her voice trembled with fear, her hands instinctively grabbing his arm, pulling him gently but insistently.

Ji-Hoo reached out, his grip firm.

"I need an explanation," he demanded, his voice steady but desperate.

"Tell me what's going on. This isn't a dream — I know it isn't." His eyes searched hers, trying to find the truth hidden behind her hesitant gaze.

Joy's face flickered with uncertainty, then she quickly shook her head, her expression trying to hide her own confusion.

"It's just a dream," she whispered, her voice trembling. "It's not real. Of course, it's all lies." But her words sounded hollow, like she was convincing herself more than him.

"No," Ji-Hoo interrupted firmly, "I don't believe that. I want the truth — now."

Joy rolled her eyes, exasperated but tired of the charade.

"Let's go home first," she said softly, her tone softening.

"I'll tell you everything, I promise. Just… trust me for now."

Without waiting for a response, she waved her hands again, and the shimmering portal reappeared.

The golden light beckoned them once more. Ji-Hoo hesitated for a moment, then stepped through behind her..

In an instant, they were back in the real world.

The vibrant, light-filled clothing Joy wore in the divine realm faded away, replaced by her usual casual attire.

The world around them was quiet, the night air cool and familiar, but Ji-Hoo's mind was still caught in the whirlwind of what he had just experienced.

He looked at her, eyes filled with questions. "Joy, what just happened? Who are those people? And what is that place really?"

Her face was a mix of relief and apprehension.

"It's a lot to explain," she said softly. "But I promise — I'll tell you everything. Just… give me a little time."

Ji-Hoo nodded, determined to understand the truth behind her mysterious words, her secret world — no matter how unbelievable it might seem.
