*Chapter 23: The Plan*
Sophia and Alexander knew they had to act fast to protect themselves. Rachel, the journalist, had agreed to help them expose Alexander's family's shady dealings, but they knew it wouldn't be easy.
"We need a plan," Sophia said, her mind racing. "We can't just go public with this information without being prepared for the consequences."
Alexander nodded. "I agree," he said. "We need to be strategic about how we approach this."
Rachel nodded. "I have an idea," she said. "We can use my platform to break the story, but we need to make sure we have all our ducks in a row before we do."
Marcus, who had been quiet until now, spoke up. "I can help with that," he said. "I have access to some of the company's internal documents. I can get them to you."
Sophia's eyes narrowed. "Why are you helping us, Marcus?" she asked.
Marcus's expression was serious. "Because I believe in doing what's right," he said. "And Alexander's family is not doing that. They're using their power and influence to hurt people, and it's time someone stopped them."
Sophia wasn't sure if she fully trusted Marcus, but she knew they needed all the help they could get. "Okay," she said. "Let's work together to expose Alexander's family."
As they worked on their plan, Sophia felt a sense of determination. She was ready to take on Alexander's family and fight for the truth.
But as they were finalizing their plan, Sophia's phone buzzed. It was a text from an unknown number. "You're playing with fire," it read. "You don't know what you're getting yourself into."
Sophia's heart skipped a beat. Who was sending her these messages, and what did they want?
