The night continues to rule over the entire sky. Among the clouds, a man is flying. That man is no other than Kohlrabi, the first-ranking seed.
His eyes roam around the land below him. He hums before flying down, landing on the ground with such force; causing the ground beneath his feet breaks.
"I finally found you."
His green eyes shine, and he walks in a relaxed manner while his fingers are fidgeting.
"Such power. I didn't know that one certain 'guardian' could imprison a third-ranking seed in a mansion."
His walk ends slowly in front of a mansion, covered by a massive green dome. He raises his hand and touches it.
He flinches and moves his hand away from it; smoke and scratches are visible on his palm.
"This barrier is made from a mixture of energy and a strong vow. An attack and its power come from how powerful its creator is.
"To draw power to create a technique needs a strong 'will'."
His lip curves into a wide smile, showing his sharp teeth. "I don't need to be bothered! Because I am a perfect creation!"
Shining yellow patterns manifest on his right hand, spreading to his right arm. He clenches his fist and punches the barrier.
The impact of his punch lets out a massive wind pressure spreading in different directions; most of the trees are pulled away from the ground, combined with the stones, and dust.
His eyes remain calm. He stares at the barrier for a second and lowers his hand. He steps back as cracks appear on the barrier.
Inside an establishment with a large room, bookshelves are aligned on each part of the room, among the tables, and Acacia still with the appearance of the same woman sitting in the chair.
His eyes are calm, analyzing each word in the book he's reading. He's humming quietly, and nodding to each word he understands.
After some time, along the riverbank; stones were aligned on it. Sitting on one of the benches, Acacia is staring at the birds and trees everywhere.
"Such a beautiful sight."
He wasn't alone, a few people were walking around, and some were riding bicycles and fishing on the river.
"But the trees speak differently. They are witnessing people letting the river be filthy; throwing their trash, and other pollutants!"
Acacia looks at a certain man throwing an empty can into the river. Acacia inhales deeply, and his green eyes begin to glow.
"This isn't right. Those people are afraid of being flooded but they are the ones polluting it with their filth!"
His hand opens, releasing itself from clenching as Acacia's breathing comes back to normal.
"Seeds like us consume vegetables, and fruits because they are not alive but we take care of the plants carrying them, and the seeds.
"After evolving, half of our population gave up that diet and began consuming animals."
He stands up and walks away before speaking in his mind, "But we, high-ranking seeds, we need to consume those connected to the last descendant.
"Hoping that we somehow get information about the last descendant.
"But if I were asked, 'why do I absorb and eat humans?' I can answer that by saying, 'I use humans to use their appearance; blending in with mankind as I investigate the whereabouts and identity of the last descendant."
A certain woman sitting beside a man senses Acacia's presence. Her eyes narrow, and she turns her eyes in Acacia's direction.
Inside a mall, Nicholas is walking with Nelly while holding many paper bags; all filled with clothing, and some with food.
"I enjoyed shopping with you, my baby!"
Nicholas frowns while leaning his face backward. "Baby? Ew!"
Nelly chuckles while her eyes linger on him, and she blinks many times while pouting.
"Stop! Stop! You're like a kid!" Nicholas said, his face lowered and he sighed.
"Why? Am I annoying?" Nelly chuckled.
Nicholas stares at her with a tired gaze and shakes his head. "No, you're just energetic, that's all."
Distances behind them, a sly smile forms on Kohlrabi's lip as Coseria walks past him. They open their mental communication, and Kohlrabi begins to walk after her.
"What's the agenda?" Coseria asked.
"We'll follow them. Make the girl sleep, and then that man. We will take him with us."
"How about the last descendant? Aren't we going to find him?" Coseria glanced at Kohlrabi.
"Are you nuts?" Kohlrabi's eyes narrowed as his brows furrowed, "That boy is the same boy who was left in the same orphanage. He is not the last descendant!
"But he has something far more important than pursuing that last descendant."
Coseria nods slowly while her gaze is fixated on the pair walking a distance from them.
"If you say so. For now, let's implement our plan." Coseria brought her tongue to her upper lip, licking it.
Inside the large parking lot, Nicholas opens the doors of the passenger seat. He gently placed the paper bags on the seats.
Nelly is smiling while observing him, and she speaks in her mind. "He's calm and gentle, I like it. He's truly husband material."
She laughs softly like a girl receiving money from her grandparents, and she covers her mouth while laughing.
"There we go!" Nicholas brushed his palms against one another.
His eyes widen, and he immediately turns around. He grabs Nelly's hand and pulls her beside him, preventing the incoming vine from hitting her.
He tightens his grasp on her back, and yells, "Who are you?!"
Nelly gulps and a red hue appears on her cheeks as she stares at his side profile.
"He's dreamy," she said in her mind.
A woman chuckles, and she steps out from the shadow. "You already sensed my attack? But let's see if you can avoid him."
Nicholas' eyes widen, and he jumps aside while his arm wraps around Nelly's back.
Kohlrabi's stone fist hits the ground, leaving a small crater. He moves his eyes up, meeting Nicholas' narrowing eyes.
"Who are you two?! Why are you attacking us?!" he yelled.
Nelly brings out her phone and presses its screen. She groans while staring at it.
"Shit! No signal!"
Kohlrabi speaks in a calm tone. "It is not her that we want. We didn't come here to harm anyone but if you will not come with us, then we have no choice but to implement force."
He turns his eyes faster at the two entities he's facing. "I don't understand! Maybe this is some kind of superpower prank? What do you guys want from me?!"
Kohlrabi clears his throat and his eyes narrow into thin slits. "I hate beings who spit out too much nonsense. You either come with us or we'll need to use force."
Nelly slides her hand inside her dress and brings out two pistols. Her gaze is serious as she aims each pistol at her targets.
"Nelly?" Nicholas blinked.
Nelly stomps his foot, and Nicholas suddenly releases her. He jumps repeatedly while holding his foot.
"OUCH!" Nicholas fell on the ground, rolling from side to side.
Nelly takes a quick look at him. "Sorry! But I need to do this to protect you."
She turns her eyes around, and she gasps. Kohlrabi is already standing in front of her, and his eyes are looking down at her.
Nicholas looks up, and his eyes widen as Kohlrabi slaps Nelly's face. Nicholas's mouth drops while seeing Nelly get sent flying toward a nearby car.
Her eyes turn white, and she coughs. Nicholas's teeth are clenched, and his eyes are now filled with anger.
"NELLY!" he crawled towards her.
His eyes meet a pair of stone high heels, and he looks up. Coseria swings one of her heels, striking Nicholas' face.
Nicholas opens his eyes, and everything he sees is spinning around. Coseria is staring down at him, her eyes mimicking a smile as she laughs loudly.
"Pathetic human!"
A gunshot echoes in the parking lot, and soon, many bullets pierce Coseria's body.
Kohlrabi who's standing steps away, turns his eyes at the shooter. "Not bad. Humans are getting more dangerous these days."
Nelly is standing there, her eyes filled with anger. She runs toward Nicholas and crouches beside him. She puts her hand on his back and begins to push him back to his feet as she stands up.
She wraps his forearm around her neck while walking away hurriedly.
Her breathing is faster, and she glances at Nicholas; his eyes are closed a bit while his mouth is dropped open, and bruises and cuts are visible on his face.
"Hold on tight, Nicholas!" she spoke in her mind.
"Aw, carrying him instead of him carrying you is sweet."
Nelly's eyes grow wide while facing the wooden abdomen of Kohlrabi. He is standing in front of her with his eyes staring down at her.
Kohlrabi covers his left hand with a yellow energy. Nicholas' left fingers twitch as Kohlrabi swings his left hand at them.
Nicholas thrusts his foot, striking Kohlrabi's crotch.
Kohlrabi's eyes widen and they turn white, and his hands travel down to his crotch. He falls to the ground and begins rolling from side to side.
"Let's run away!" Nicholas turned his eyes to Nelly.
Nelly nods at him. Both of them run at their full speed toward a sports car. Nelly brings out her keys and presses the unlock button.
Nicholas pulls the door handle of the driver's seat. Nelly sits inside, and thrusts her keys in the keyhole; turning on the car's engine.
Kohlrabi stands up. "Geez. That was something else."
He turns his eyes around, and they land on Coseria; her head is blown, and she has many holes in her body.
Steam is coming out of every hole and tear in her flesh, her flesh joining together to regenerate.
Kohlrabi's fingers are now being covered in stone; spreading up to his arms. "Your regeneration ability is so slow. So, I'll do it instead; I will bring that boy with us."
Nicholas narrows his eyes and raises his fists to his face. "Come and dare to lay a finger on any of us! I swear! I will kill you!"
He speaks in his mind. "I've found another friend."
He looks over his shoulder, witnessing Nelly's eyes frowning as she twists the keys.
He smiles as he speaks in his mind. "You attempted to rescue me from Ella.
"But you did more than that, you saved me from my sadness, and made me realise things that I couldn't see."
Nelly turns her eyes to the window. Her eyes widen as Nicholas avoids every punch from Kohlrabi.
He sharpens his right fingers and swings them at Nicholas. He steps aside from the claws but it still reaches his cheek, causing a slight cut on his cheek.
Kohlrabi thrusts his other fist, and it hits Nicholas' shoulder. His eyes widen, and he can feel his bones cracking, and the punch sends him flying against a car.
"YOU BITCH!"
Nelly's eyes narrow as she comes out of her sports car. She reloads her two pistols while gritting her teeth.
She aims her gun at Kohlrabi and pulls the trigger. Kohlrabi's body jerks as bullets pierce his wooden flesh.
His eyes close, and he laughs while opening his eyes. "Is that all that your toy can do?"
Kohlrabi takes one step, and in the blink of an eye, he's now standing in front of her.
Nelly looks all over the holes in his body, and all of them are releasing steam while sealing.
Her eyes widen, her breathing accelerates, and she looks up slowly.
Nicholas' eyes open, and he stands up. He flinches and places his other hand on his right shoulder.
Nelly slowly accepts her fate. She closes her eyes but she feels a warm presence beside her, and it makes her open her eyes.
"Ever since I was young, no one cared for me; not even my parents.
"As I grew up, I thought I had real friends but I heard them telling each other that they are only using me because of my wealth and influence."
"But I didn't know that I would have a saviour, and that is you."
Nicholas is standing in front of Nelly with his hand holding Kohlrabi's wrist. His eyes are narrowed while his brows are furrowing.
"Don't hurt her." he turned to his left side and tossed Kohlrabi away.
Kohlrabi flips in mid-air and lands steps away from Nicholas.
"Your strength has increased, it is true that you are now starting to get ripe." Kohlrabi smiled.
His smile changes to a thin line, and the joy in his eyes disappears only for his eyes to narrow.
"But I am starting to get bored."
The flowers around the parking lot release green energy, and it flies toward him. He inhales deeply while he looks at Nicholas with intensity.
Nelly pushes Nicholas' chest, and he stumbles aside. Nelly takes one of her high heels and throws it at Kohlrabi.
"What can a heel do? Seriously," Nicholas blinked, his mouth dropping in shock.
A sound comes out of the heel, and the heel explodes. Nelly smiles slyly, and she turns her eyes to Nicholas.
"Amazed, huh?" she said with pride.
The cloud of smoke gets torn by a wave of Kohlrabi's hand. He is just standing there with his eyes glued on them.
"Is that all? Pathetic."
No scratches or cuts can be seen on his body, Kohlrabi is just standing fine.
Nicholas clenches his fist as he speaks in his mind. "I need to think about how we can escape from him!"
