Chapter 17 - DANCE OF THE FIRE GOD

At night, after dinner and resting for a bit, Lucas opened his flute box and took his sword from it "time to practice" he said while opening the window at the back of his house, he gazed into the forest, its towering trees swaying silently in the night breeze.

With a calm step forward, he jumped from the window and landed on a branch effortlessly, as if he were gliding through the air.

Opening his Transparent World, he took a deep breath, his muscles stretching with power. As he exhaled, his figure blurred, leaving an afterimage behind before reappearing far away on another tree branch,in the same position as he move again.

Moving from tree to tree, the Transparent World guided his every step, showing him where to land without losing speed. Finally, he reached a slightly open clearing in the woods "a perfect place to practice" he said while looking at everywhere.

Landing in the center of the clearing, Lucas drew his blade and held it with both hands before him.

Closing his eyes, he inhaled deeply, pulling oxygen into every fiber of his body, and as he sealed his lips, a thin stream of hot air hissed from the corner of his mouth. To the naked eye, it was just mist, but in the Transparent World, he saw flames — not ordinary flames, but those of the sun itself: warm yet unbearably dangerous.

Sun Breathing: First Form – Dance

Raising his arms high, Lucas brought his blade down with full force, a vertical slash cutting through the air like the rays of the rising sun. The lingering air itself split apart, and far ahead, a tree trunk bore a deep burned scar where the strike landed.

Sun Breathing: Second Form – Clear Blue Sky

Without pause, Lucas spun his body in a perfect 360° rotation, blade extended horizontally. A brilliant ring of flame expanded around him like a blazing sun halo, striking out in every direction at once.

Sun Breathing: Third Form – Raging Sun

His feet shifted, and he unleashed two rapid horizontal slashes — one to the left, one to the right — colliding like twin suns. The fiery arcs crossed, forming a blazing X that shimmered in the night air.

Sun Breathing: Fourth Form – Burning Bones, Summer Sun

Lucas twisted his body, spinning with his blade, flames swirling around him in a scorching spiral. The ground beneath hissed as if scorched by the sun, and when he finished the rotation, a wave of heat pulsed outward, searing the clearing.

Sun Breathing: Fifth Form – Solar Heat Haze

Lowering his stance, Lucas lunged forward in a blur. His sword thrust so fast that the air distorted into a mirage. To the eye, it looked like countless fiery blades stabbing forward, but the Transparent World revealed the truth — one perfect line of piercing fire. The strike drilled into a stone, leaving a hole glowing with embers.

Sun Breathing: Sixth Form – Setting Sun Transformation

Leaping backward, Lucas flipped in the air, his blade flashing down as if the sun itself were sinking behind the horizon. A blazing crescent trailed downward, striking the earth with a sound like crackling firewood as sparks sprayed upward.

Sun Breathing: Seventh Form – Beneficent Radiance

Landing lightly, he pivoted and began spinning with controlled grace, his blade weaving arcs of fire. The air glowed red as flames spiraled outward in a radiant storm. To any onlooker, it would appear as though Lucas was dancing with the sun itself, every movement beautiful yet devastating.

Sun Breathing: Eighth Form – Sunflower Thrust

Lucas drew in another deep breath, focusing his power into his arm. He stepped forward sharply and thrust his sword straight ahead. The blade shone like a beam of sunlight piercing the clouds, striking through a thick tree trunk in an instant. Smoke and sparks hissed out from the wound left behind.

Sun Breathing: Ninth Form – Dragon Sun Halo Head Dance

Shifting into motion, Lucas unleashed a storm of consecutive slashes, his body flowing like water. The flames wove together, forming the image of a dragon spiraling around him, each coil of fire striking in perfect harmony. The ground itself bore the mark of his path, a scorched circle glowing faintly in the dark.

Sun Breathing: Tenth Form – Fire Wheel

Lucas bent his knees and launched himself high into the air. Mid-flight, his body twisted, sword tracing a fiery circle around him. From the ground, it looked like a blazing wheel rolling across the heavens. As he descended, the fiery wheel crashed down, cleaving through earth and bark with explosive force.

Sun Breathing: Eleventh Form – Fake Rainbow

Landing softly, Lucas steadied his breathing, then suddenly darted to the side, his movements so fast that afterimages flickered around him. To normal sight, it seemed like several flaming Lucases darted in all directions, their blades cutting as one. But through the Transparent World, only one true path existed — precise, sharp, unstoppable.

Sun Breathing: Twelfth Form – Flame Dance

Raising his blade, Lucas slashed downward in a blazing vertical arc, immediately following with a horizontal cut. The two strikes fused into a fiery cross, burning bright in the night. The glowing mark shimmered as embers drifted like falling stars.

Sun Breathing: Thirteenth Form

Lucas inhaled deeply, his chest rising and falling in perfect rhythm, his heartbeat steady like the eternal drum of the sun. Then he moved.

One by one, each form flowed seamlessly into the next — Dance into Clear Blue Sky, Raging Sun into Burning Bones, Solar Heat Haze into Setting Sun Transformation… a cycle with no beginning and no end. His blade never paused, his body never faltered.

Through the Transparent World, he saw it clearly — he was not merely practicing forms. He was embodying the eternal sun, rising, blazing, setting, and rising again without end.

The clearing glowed faintly, as though dawn itself had arrived in the middle of the night. The trees surrounding him shimmered in the warm light, their shadows dancing in reverence to his flame. When Lucas perform the all thirteen form he didn't stop and start doing all the forms from the start, the air was thick with heat, and his blade hummed softly, with his heartbeat completely focused on practice.
