The next morning, Lucas stood with his hood and scarf on, staring at the sleek Aston Martin Valour gleaming in the sunlight before his house. In his hand rested a note and a pair of keys.
[
"Dear Lucas,
I am gifting you this car so you can take your girl on a proper date.
—GOD."

Lucas let out a soft laugh of disbelief. "...A car for a date, huh?" He shook his head, though the corner of his lips curled up. He couldn't deny it—he loved cars. Every man dreamed of having a car like this.
Sliding into the driver's seat, he gripped the wheel and turned the key. The deep growl of the engine rumbled like thunder, sending a shiver of excitement through him. Smoothly, he pulled onto the road, unknowingly drawing stares from everyone who saw him pass.

At school, the Cullens standing in the parking lot beside their cars. Rosalie's golden eyes kept flicking toward the gate while leaning against her mercedes. Her posture was calm, but inside she was restless—aching to see Lucas after the long night apart. She missed his warmth, his hand in hers.
"Where is he…" she thought, her chest tightening. She wanted nothing more than to hear his voice again.
The others noticed her distracted state and smiled silently. Even Edward, was caught in Bella's curious stare. Bella's eyes never left him, silently demanding answers he wasn't ready to give.
Then it came—a low, unfamiliar growl of an engine. Heads turned as a sports car glided into the lot, elegant and commanding. Students whispered in awe, snapping their attention to the rare sight.
Rosalie's eyes followed the car out of habit, admiring the lines of its body… until she saw the driver. The moment her gaze locked on Lucas, her composure melted into a wide, radiant smile she couldn't contain.
The car stopped right beside her. Lucas stepped out, and looked at her with a smile which says he missed her.
"Good morning, Lucas," Rosalie greeted, her voice soft but overflowing with affection, like she had been waiting for who know how long.
Lucas's smile matched hers instantly. "Good morning, Rose."
The way he said it—Rose—sent her heart fluttering. Butterflies danced wildly in her chest. She almost forgot there were dozens of eyes on them.
She stepped closer, brushing her hand against his. "That's quite a car you've got there, Luc." Her tone was playful, but her gaze lingered on him more than the car.
Lucas chuckled, giving her hand a light squeeze. "You like it? Then it's already worth it."
Rosalie's lips parted slightly, her eyes softening. That simple line made her feel like she mattered more than anything else. Without hesitation, she laced her fingers with his, her grip warm and unyielding.
They stood there, smiling at each other, lost in their own little world—until Emmett and Jasper came over, whistling at the car and clapping Lucas on the back. Alice teased, Lisa joked, and Lucas fired back playfully, making everyone laugh. But his free hand never let go of Rosalie's.

In class, Rosalie deliberately sat next to Lucas, her entire schedule rearranged just to be with him. He raised a brow when he found out, but he wasn't complaining as he also want to be with her.
"So, Rose," he leaned closer, his voice smooth, his smile daring. "Want to go on a date with me after school?"he asked her while thinking about the gods note.
Her heart skipped. "A date?" For a split second, she froze—then her chest swelled with pure joy.
"A date…" she repeated softly, her lips curving upward as she stared at him with shining eyes. "If my Luc invites me, I'll go anywhere he takes me."she replied while saying he is hers.
She squeezed his hand under the desk, holding it firmly as if she'd never let go.
Lucas grinned. "Then it's a date." said while feeling happy, when she says he is hers.
Rosalie bit her lip, unable to hide the excitement bubbling inside.

Elsewhere, Bella confronted Edward.
"You stopped that van," she whispered urgently. "I saw you. You pushed it away with your hand like it was nothing."
Edward's jaw tightened. "No one will believe you."said controlling his emotions.
"I wasn't going to tell anyone," she insisted, her eyes desperate. "I just want to know the truth."
Edward's voice turned sharp, almost cold. "Can't you just live your life without this?"
But Bella didn't waver while almost forgetting what Lucas said to her yesterday. She needed answers, and Edward's evasiveness only fueled her determination.

By lunchtime, the cafeteria buzzed with chatter. Lucas sat with the Cullens, sipping his tea calmly while ignoring the jealous stares from others. Rosalie, bolder now, leaned against his shoulder, her arm brushing his in open claim.
Her golden eyes swept the room defiantly, silently daring anyone to even look at him in the wrong way as if saying he is mine.
Alice smirked knowingly. "Well, well. Straight to the point, huh, Lucas? Asking Rosalie out on a date, as fast as ever."
Lucas smirked back, unbothered. "We're already halfway down the road. Might as well finish the journey."
The table chuckled softly. Rosalie, however, only gazed at him like he was the only one in the room and nobody could disturb her.
"I am excited for our first date," she whispered.
Lucas turned his head just slightly, their eyes locking. "Yeah, I am also excited."he said with sweet smile on his face.
And just like that, the day passed quickly. By the time the final bell rang, Lucas and Rosalie were ready—more than ready—for their first official date.
