The sound of running water came from the bathroom as Gina forced herself to freshen up. Athena lay curled on the bed, her head pounding, when Sarah slid onto the mattress beside her with that mischievous smile.
"Well, well," Sarah drawled, leaning in close. "Looks like someone had quite the night."
Athena cracked one eye open, groaning. "If you're here to remind me how pathetic I look right now, please don't."
Sarah laughed softly. "Not pathetic but adorable." She twirled a lock of her own hair before dropping her voice, teasingly conspiratorial. "Do you want to know what you looked like last night?"
Athena blinked at her, instantly suspicious. "No."
"Yes," Sarah insisted, grinning wider. "Because I saw it. You were clinging to Alpha Kraven like he was the only thing keeping you standing and I swear, Athena, you looked so… comfortable."
Athena's eyes widened, heat rushing to her face. "W-What? That's not true…"
