Lara looked over her shoulder.
A man she had never seen before stepped inside. He looked like an ordinary merchant's son, dressed in neat, clean clothes. But there was something scary about his smile, and he stared at her for a little too long.
"Lady Lara," he said warmly.
She frowned. "I am sorry... do I know you?"
The man laughed softly and took a step closer. "Have you forgotten me already?"
Lara shook her head. "I think you have mistaken me for someone else."
"No," he replied, still smiling. "I am quite sure I haven't."
Before she could step away, he suddenly reached out and grabbed her wrist.
Lara's eyes widened in fear.
"Please let go of me," she said, trying to pull her hand away.
Instead of letting go, the man smiled even wider.
"Don't be shy," he said loudly. "You were much friendlier when we made our deal."
Lara froze. "What are you talking about? I don't even know you."
