(In the underground basement of the night castle).
"Where am I? the elf thought, his eyes slowly opening to reveal a dark stone room, filled with chains and various dark red stains giving the room a very scary feel.
An amused voice as though hearing his thoughts replied with a laugh "You are in the order of the Night's torture chamber".
The elf lifted his eyes up and growled on seeing the large figure with light green eyes.
Bethran adjusted the chains on the elf's wrist before continuing. "For your own sake I suggest you answer all the questions that the elders might have for you".
The elf muffled a stream of curses that were luckily blocked by the black fabric used to gag him.
"After all you might be questioned and if you're unlucky, be tortured by one of the most heartless men to ever walk this continent". Bethran chuckled
...…..
"Elder Magnus, Fang Bethran had returned from his mission".
Magnus with a smile patted the female assassin on the back and after dismissing her, proceeded towards the castle; an evil grin planted on his face.
Some children playing in the surrounding grasses immediately scattered on seeing the elder that gave out an eerie dark aura; an aura that informed all living things that the being in front of them was a killer that would not hesitate to slaughter those in his way.
Unlike the other elders Magnus also known as the crimson killer, had no disciple under his wing and being a Fang had made him to be even more solitary than many assassins in the order.
Aside from all this, among the elders Magnus was the least respected due to his brutal killings that sometimes clashed with the Night's principles.
And due to his extremely violent nature Magnus was usually placed in charge of the interrogation and questioning of suspects.
-
After some minutes of walking which was accompanied by more evil grins, Magnus arrived at the torture chamber, acknowledging Bethran's presence with a nod.
"I heard that he is one of the many elven scum populating the cult known as the brotherhood".
"He is, my elder and thanks to your intel our order was able to stage an ambush that had led to his eventual capture.
Bethran picking up a scroll and a quill from an adjacent table frowned "Though with all due respect sir, I believe that I will be more than capable in interrogating this suspect".
Magnus walked up to the giant and looking deep into his eyes smiled
"You know very well that this elf would rather die than give up vital information about the brotherhood".
On saying this he brought out a small knife from a pocket, gazing at its blade with intense reverence.
"And as such a great deal of torture must be meted out before we shall be able to get information from this scum.
"You may now ungag him, let us see whether he will pick the easy way out".
Bethran as ordered removed the fabric covering the elf's mouth using his right hand to shield his face from the spittle aimed at him.
Magnus removed his cloak, took a deep breath and began the series of questions.
"First question, where is your cult's base located?
The elf stared deep into the crimson assassin's eyes before replying with a hiss.
"Go to hell".
Bethran looked away on hearing the response, inwardly ignoring the loud screams that came out of the elf's mouth.
The elf's bloodied face remained still with a silver knife stuck in his now crushed right eyeball.
Magnus with a now bored expression on his face walked to the end of the room picking up a rusty knife lying on a far-off table; decorated with many objects of torture he had personally crafted.
"Answer the question, or next time it might be one of your pretty ears".
The elf gritting his teeth from the pain laughed "You will have to do more than that to make me talk".
"Poor elf" Bethran thought knowing what was going to happen next.
*AHHHHHHH! *
Screamed the elf when with one swift movement Magnus sliced off three right fingers. Not stopping there he punched the elf hard in the face and followed by a few teeth that dropped to the ground, blood spewed forth from a thin cut on the elf's pale lips.
"I don't know" cried the elf in apparent agony as Magnus lightly tapped the knife in his right eye.
"What do you mean, aren't you a member?
"We at the lower ranks aren't initiated into the brotherhood fully until we have fully gained the trust of our superiors" groaned the elf.
Magnus hearing this smiled and after a well-placed slap to the cheek continued with his vigorous questions.
"My sources tell me that your group of scum have decided to plan a massive attack soon". What I will like to know is where and when?
The elf looked at the writing Bethran and was currently mulling whether he should continue to give more information or remain loyal to the great Draghyr and just endure through this hellacious torture.
"For in both ways death will be the only outcome".
Summoning what was left of his remaining courage the elf with a loud voice swore.
"In the name of Draghyr the great, I shall no longer betray the cult even on pain on death!
Magnus's eyes lit up with unimaginable rage, his body giving off the aura of a ferocious wild beast.
Bethran with a straight face walked back some inches in order to protect himself from the bloodbath about to happen.
*Pleaseeeee! No!!!*
Were the screams of the elf as his agonizing cries echoed through the castle, many of the children ran into their homes while the older assassins prayed for the peaceful end of whoever was unfortunate enough to anger the Crimson killer….
Currently in the torture chamber, on top of a bloodied table was the gruesomely mutilated body of an elf.
The elf's mouth was open wide in some sort of horrific scream while his twisted limbs laid on the floor in a bloody puddle.
Bethran on the other hand after getting information about the Brotherhood's next plan left to detail his findings to the rest of the elders leaving the (at that time very much alive though brutalized) elf with the Crimson Killer.
Magnus meanwhile was still in the torture chamber frowning and cursing that his latest toy had perished before he could try out some new techniques.
"In the end they always talk".
A loud voice however made him to slightly shake in his boots
"Magnus explain yourself". Magnus turned and with a sigh smiled at the three elders and a frowning Bethran.
The elders moved forward while Bethran remained still his face as pale as a sheet. Magnus glared at the green-eyed wolf before with both hands crossed, he began to answer his own sets of questions.
