Chapter 58 - Chapter 56: Magical Lessons

Back at the villa, Wanda dove into Basic Magical Theory, scarlet energy flipping pages. Turing provided tea and adjusted lighting.

"Need me to read aloud, Miss Maximoff?" Turing asked.

"No, thanks," Wanda said, focused. "Where's James?"

"In the solar chamber. Notify him?"

"No!" Wanda flushed. "Just curious."

Turing paused. "Human behavior suggests—"

"Turing!" she snapped.

"My apologies."

Late at night, Wanda finished, rubbing her neck. On the balcony, she saw James hovering, golden devices absorbing starlight.

He landed lightly. "Done?"

"Yeah," she nodded. "Some parts about energy ratios confused me."

He leaned close, glancing at her marked page, his breath cool with mint. "You're off. It's 3:7."

Wanda froze, their faces close. "How do you know?"

"I'm Superman," he said, tapping his temple. "Super brain."

"Really?" she gaped.

"More than you think." He handed back the book. "Sleep. Early start."

"James!" she called as he turned.

"Hm?"

"Thanks… for teaching me."

His expression softened. "You're a fast learner. Better than Strange."

"Who?" Wanda asked.

"Supreme Sorcerer," James said. "Got stuck in the mirror dimension on his first portal."

He waved. "Sleep, little witch."

Wanda hugged the book, smiling, eager for tomorrow.

Morning

Wanda, in a yellow sundress, packed sunscreen, the Mind Stone necklace glowing. "Turing, where's James?"

"Charging in the solar chamber," Turing replied.

Wanda headed to the basement. James floated in the chamber's white light, his physique glowing. His eyes opened, golden and piercing.

"Spying again, Miss Maximoff?" he teased, landing.

"I'm ready," she said, blushing at his rolled-up sleeves.

He smirked at her outfit. "Eager for vacation?"

"Training!" she insisted, smiling.

He opened a portal to Tahiti's sapphire waters. "Morning: precision training. Afternoon: free time."

Wanda twirled on the sand, hair blazing. James shaped water into coral, then split it into glowing jellyfish forming Kamar-Taj runes.

Wanda mimicked, her jellyfish forming "Chaos Magic." Sunlight intensified, and James conjured chairs. Wanda collapsed, sweating.

"Tired?" He handed her a coconut.

"More draining than the lab," she said, sipping. "But… happier."

"Magic thrives on joy," James said, sunglasses hiding his eyes. "Fear stifles it."

Wanda nodded, catching her reflection in his glasses, twirling her hair. She stopped, focusing on the coconut.

At the coral reef, James taught her to weave energy threads, exploring coral structures. Her scarlet threads danced nimbly.

Turing interrupted: "Sir, Monaco's race is starting. It may differ this time."

A hologram showed Tony waving to crowds, entering his racecar. A man in a jumpsuit revealed an arc reactor, electric whips lashing out, slicing a car.

"Whoa!" Wanda gasped.

Tony's watch morphed into red-gold armor, catching a whip, blasting the attacker into a barrier.

The crowd roared. Tony lifted his visor, smirking. "Anyone else want a shot?"

Wanda laughed. "He's so—"

"Punchable," James finished, closing the hologram. "Turing, Tony doesn't need saving."

Wanda gazed at his sunset-gilded profile. "Thanks for this. Best training ever."

He slid his sunglasses down, golden eyes soft. "You're welcome, little witch."

The breeze carried jasmine and salt, Wanda's heart stirring as James reclined, seemingly oblivious.
