Chapter 1 - The Ash King

In a time when people used to fight with their honor on the line —a time when demons, gods, and battles ruled the days —there was a hero.

A single star, shining brighter than anything in these dark skies.A hope, who through sheer talent, wiped out armies, kingdoms… even gods.

How could anyone deny him the title of Savior, when he stood alone, sword in hand, protecting lives that weren't even his?

He was the hope children looked up to —the only one who truly deserved to exist in this pitiful world.

His name was Icar.

But you'll never find that name in any history book.

One day, in the middle of nowhere, in a place no one could even imagine —at the edge between gods and humans...

It was raining. And as the silhouette of humanity's warrior revealed itself, the smoke unveiled one of the last remaining fragments of a god that would ever exist.

It was there, in front of Heaven's Gate, that every living being on Earth witnessed the world being saved… by 'Icar'.

But you'll never find that name in any history book.

Because that day — before the whole world —I KILLED him.

And as the world saw his head roll onto the god's corpse, fear spread. Despair appeared in their eyes.

And as a smile rose within the smoke, tears and screams echoed together — a haunting symphony across a dead world

No one will understand my actions. I'll be hated for them, and I will pay for my decision. But that day, a mere recruit — who once saw his untouchable idol slay a god and supported him through every challenge — killed that very idol:a legend once believed to be invincible.

As I raised my arm to the sky, the other gods stared at me in despair —and in that dark sky, a colossal finger tore through the heavens for kilometers.

I closed my eye, letting the harmony of screams become the rhythm of that ruined place, and in a blinding halo of light, they destroyed the earth.

After that, my eyes finally opened — in a body that wasn't mine,at a time I never thought I'd see again.

I was a child again — in the family I thought had died.My family. Mine.

I placed a trembling hand on my face, feeling the warmth of tears I hadn't noticed. Then I rose from the scorched earth, my smile twisting through pain and fury.

"Let the symphony continue."

My name is Azarel. And no book in this world will ever be able to contain the hate I carry, nor the power I need to gather…
