Before anyone could react, Veronica shot forward like a blur. In less than a second, loud slaps echoed through the clearing as Liora and her team were sent flying in different directions like rag dolls.

They were too stunned to even register the pain. What just happened?! Weren't they supposed to be the strong ones? And Veronica—wasn't she just a harmless, weak human?!
Veronica stared at her own hand in mild awe. "Whoa… That worked better than expected."
Liora struggled to her feet, her cheeks puffed up like steamed buns. She jabbed a trembling finger at Veronica. "W-What kind of sorcery did you use?!"
Veronica blinked innocently. "I just used my hand?"
"You—you won't get away with this!" Liora screeched, rallying her group to attack.
But to their horror, Veronica moved like a breeze, casually dodging every blow with a yawn, not even breaking a sweat.
