Chapter 17 - Omnipresence Over Mortals

Yae leads us to the forest, we find a large round doll there. Paimon gasps, "Ah! that toy tanuki just turned into a human!"

The small looking girl replies, "Not a Tanuki... I'm a mujina..." then she snores lightly.

We ask Sayu the ninja to get evidence of the Tenryou commission's betrayal of the Shogun, and after that we head back to Komore teahouse.

We talk to Thoma while Sayu waits outside, Ayaka comes in after thoma went and got her, we explain the situation to her.

Ayaka nods, "I see so you need evidence of the Tenryou commission's betrayal of the shogun."

Ayaka explains to us how to help sayu get the evidence, "The Tenryou commission is heavily guarded, be careful when you get near. Lets meet back here afterwards."

We follow ayaka's instructions and head to Hanamizaka to find Yoimiya.

We arrive at Yoimiya's shop, "Yoimiya we need an extra large firework!" she gives us the fireworks and instructions on how to use it.

We wait until night time and head near the statue of the omnipresent god to set off the distraction.

"Boom!" The fireworks go off and we sneak into the Tenryou commission. Sayu whispers to us and turns into a Mujina.

Sayu sneaks inside and grabs all the paper work that she could find and started to sneak back to the Komore teahouse avoiding all the guards.

We talk to ayaka, and she asks us how it went. We wait for Sayu to arrive with the paperwork. After a while Sayu arrived.

Panting, she sighed, "I know excercise helps you grow but this a little too much excercise."

She handed over all the paperwork and documents that she swiped. Ayaka gasps when she sees it, "Correspondence with the fatui... It seems that Guuji yae was right, they have been fomenting unrest behind the scenes."

We take the evidence to Guuji Yae for the next step. Ayaka and Thoma wishes us good luck and tells us to be careful.

Once we arrived we saw Yae with Sara, "Lady Guuji, here I am. Rest assured I came here alone and told no one about this trip."

Yae smiles, "I am sure you would keep your promise, after all, I'm sure you've barely been able to take your mind off it these past few days."

She stutters, "I- I- you're quite mistaken, I would never doubt the leader of my clan. So, where is your proof."

I walk up to them and hand them the proof and the evidence in the form of important documents and letters.

Sara reads the documents and letter and flies into a rage, "So the tenryou commission they are deliberatly decieving the shogun... So everyhting I've ever held on to, how could they... Argh!"

She ran off, "This betrayal is unforgivable. Takayuki. You've got some explaning to do!"

Paimon frowns, "Kujou sara seems pretty angry huh. Looks like our Tenryou rebellion is successfully underway."

I nod, "The shogun's army is currently without its general." Aether adds, "If we follow her, we might meet the raiden shogun."

We follow Kujou Sara into the Tenryou commission. Along with sara, we fought our way into the building from the outside.

Kujou Takayuki appeared to confront us, "Stop! Sara have you gone insane!"

Kujou sara says still quite respectufully, "Master Takayuki, I've seen the report to the throne and the letter to the fatui... Please tell me why!"

Takayuki was mad, "So this is how the documents went missing from my desk, you stole them!"

Kujou looked depressed, "Should I take your words to mean... These documents were not forgeries. They were really penned by your own hands? Have you really betrayed the shogun?"

Takayuki laughs like mad, "Betrayed the shogun? Of course not! The fatui are small fry compared to the shogun if they try anything they will be struck down by her blade!"

Paimon stomps her foot, "So this guy really believes that he hasn't betrayed the electro archon? He's just too overconfident in her abilities!"

Kujou Sara gets mad again, "I will report this to the shogun!"

Takayuki grimaced, "Report to the shogun if you wish, but the kujou clan's position is now unshakable nothing you say will change that!"

After this exchange we chase Sara to Tenshukaku.

The way to Tenshukaku was littered with the unconscious bodies of guards when we entered Tenshukaku we saw Kujou Sara unconscious on the ground and signora standing there.

Signora muses, "The way people charge in here as they please, so uncivilised."

Paimon gasps, "Oh no, what has she done to kujou sara!"

Raiden sighs, "The right to punish inazumans for their crimes is mine alone, not yours signora."

Signora apologises. We tell the shogun about the war in watatsumi and the people suffering due to the vision hunt decree. We accuse signora and the fatui for instigating these things.

Signora looked bored, "Stop talking about people and things that I care nothing about."

"They were nobodies to begin with and their names will be forgotton. But now at least they get to be building blocks in the grand revolution to realise eternity."

Signora lectures us, saying that barging into tenshukaku wasn't the brightest choice.

I ignore her and after looking over at traveler who nodded I said, "We challenge you to a duel before the throne!"

That shuts signora up and the shogun nods, "Proceed."

Signora smiles, "My you're full of suprises today... So you've learned to make the law of the land work for you too... You are aware that the loser must die? Are you sure this is what you want?"

We nod, and signora laughs again, "Then I will deign to share this last dance with you, till death do us part!"

We enter into battle stances immediately. Signora makes the first move shooting a cryo spell at us, she surrounded herself in a cryo barrier that offers some damage negation but not all.

Aether dodges the blast and moves quickly and swiftly to the side, taking out dull blade to attack. I summon my catalyst.

The battle proceeds smoothly with the both of us shattering fire elemental crystals to keep warm and paimon cheering us on and looking on in worry from the sidelines.

We hack, slash and shoot at signora slowly wearing down her resistance until she enveloped herself into a cryo crysalis and burst into flames, transforming into the crimson witch of flames.

We beat her down, even though its harder since shes stronger in this form. After wearing her down for a while finally she was too weak to continue.

She gasped for breath, "So- so strong... But how?"

The raiden shogun started walking towards her with her sword glowing, she walked past us heading towards signora.

Signora yells at her, "I am a sneznhayan diplomat, you know what happens if you lay a finger on me. I swear if you strike me, I will make sure... The fatui will make sure that your precious inazuma... Stop! I order you. Filthy rats all of you!"

In a flash of purple lightning, the shogun's blade passed through signora incinerating her until not even ashes remained.

She speaks to us, "You are the enemy of eternity, but as the victor I acknowledge your honour. Therefore I shall allow you to leave tenshukaku alive..."

We hurry out of Tenshukaku grounds, we see the resistance as we arrive outside. But the shogun suddenly appears behind us and starts to send a strike towards us.

The dormant vision on Kazuha's hip suddenly glowed with purple electro energy and he rushed forward meeting the Raiden Shogun's blade, perfectly parrying it.

We run to attack the shogun knowing the resistance stood no change against her and our surroundings fade away and we land in the plane of euthymia.

Ei looks at us, "So we meet again." She says calmly.

She asks us why we were there again, and we explain the terror the fatui, sakoku and vision hunt decree have caused to her again.

Ei laughs, "Surely you haven't roused me from my eternal meditation just to tell me this? In that case I'll inform you that I already know."

Ei explains to us how the vision hunt decree is not harming the people in her eyes. We firmly tell her that this is wrong.

She nods, "So be it. Well then, you who would defy eternity, time for you to enlighten me."

We enter into combat with her and swiftly dodge most of her attacks but it isn't enough and me and the traveler are pushed back.

Suddenly the charm that Yae miko gave us glows and she appears in the plane with us, "You wouldn't have thought I would let you handle the situation alone would you?"

"Surely you don't think your ambition alone, is enough to shake Ei's will do you?"

The ambitions of the people of inazuma aids us in our fight and with renewed strength we fight back against the shogun, pushing her back this time.

Ei admits defeat and Miko gives her a little lecture, "There are nations where humans cast aside their god and stide forwards."

"So are we to just abandon the notion of progress for the sake of wishful thinking?"

Ei speaks, "You and I have both witnessed the great loss that progress can bring."

Ei recounts her memories with her friends and sister and how each of them died protecting inazuma and teyvat.

Yae miko nods, "But a nation without ambition is but a hollow shell, It does nothing more but simply exist. Hm I wonder what loss it would be to anyone if such a nation is destroyed."

"The people do not want your promise of eternity, they want your attention, your divine gaze."

Ei frowns, "You mean visions, but I have experienced it all, that is why I have chosen to guide the people along the correct path, towards eternity."

Miko sighs, "But eternity is far to cruel a fate for you Ei. Not only have you stopped paying attention to the worlds but also to yourself"

We continue chatting and eventually convince Ei to open up, listen to the wishes of the people and abolish the vision hunt and sakoku decree.

After that we chat to Yae miko and she tells us she gave the gnosis to scaramouche in return for us which shocked the traveler but not me.

I was so exhuasted that I decided to take a nap here in teyvat so I headed to my serenitea pot.

After my nap, I decided that is where I'll end it this time and opened chat to head back home.
