This female teacher is really something else.

Clearly, that was workplace sexual harassment, yet it was framed as a "reward."

And not just that—it was an *adult* female teacher expressing affection for a *minor*...

If this had happened in his past life, it might've been enough for him to die content.

But what actually mattered most—

Kissing my forehead to make me blush? What do you take me for?

If you've got the guts, why not kiss somewhere more serious?

And there was still the matter of—

"Nailuo Technique and Golden Binding Technique?"

uchiha Ying flipped through the ninja scroll in his hand.

Basic illusion techniques, probably meant to help him compensate for not having access to the Sharingan's Genjutsu.

A thoughtful gesture—but unnecessary.

Still, kindness deserved to be respected. He tucked the scroll away.

Next, it's time to hunt more...

He remembered that both Kakashi's team and Asuma's group were conducting survival drills nearby.

Logically, I should be able to get some fragments from those battles. So why is there nothing dropping?

Do ninja fights need to happen directly in front of me for the fragments to appear?

uchiha Ying searched two major training fields to no avail.

Tch. So many limitations to this 'hang' system.

Hmm?

Just as he was preparing to head back to the Uchiha district, a purple figure appeared before him.

The female ANBU ninja again? She's not trailing Naruto this time. Why is she here?

"Naruto wants to see you."

The woman's voice was quiet—almost cautious.

After all, her last assignment nearly resulted in her charge being killed by ROOT ninjas. Moonlight Kurenai still felt a lingering guilt.

"Me?"

What could the Third Hokage possibly want with me?

uchiha Ying briefly considered the possibility they'd caught on to his "dream-based" method of farming ninja fragments—but quickly dismissed it.

Even if they suspected something, there was no way to trace it back to him.

Still, something felt off.

Following Moonlight, he soon found himself standing in the Hokage's office.

"He just left with Sasuke… and then brought in uchiha?"

As soon as Ying stepped inside, he caught Kakashi staring at him with a complicated look.

Kakashi Hatake.

"What do you think of him?"

Sarutobi Hiruzen asked from behind the desk, his gaze sharp.

"I have no objection. He's a genin after all."

Kakashi's tone was tired—like someone used to dealing with the Uchiha name.

Uchiha Obito. Uchiha Itachi. And now—Uchiha Ying.

A curse, and a legacy.

"His potential is solid. With you and Tenzo guiding him, he should grow fast."

"He's not reckless like Sasuke."

Kakashi offered a rare compliment—surprised himself that Sarutobi seemed to value Ying more than Sasuke.

Unlike Sasuke, burning with vengeance, Ying had a brighter, more grounded aura.

Kakashi didn't know the full truth.

Sarutobi hadn't dared bring Sasuke into the ANBU because of his secret deal with Ying.

"Lord Hokage… has something happened?"

The way Sarutobi sat so tensely—it reminded Kakashi of the days just before the Third Great Ninja War.

"You're recruiting genin for ANBU training. Is the situation that dire?"

"It's not in the village... It's outside."

Sarutobi glanced at Ying and Moonlight—then spoke gravely.

"We've received intelligence that the Sand Village might soon attack Konoha."

"What?!"

Both Kakashi and Kurenai were stunned.

"It hasn't been confirmed yet. But even so… the ninja world may fall into chaos again."

Sarutobi's tone sharpened. The weight of command returned to his voice.

"From today onward, I will select capable young people from the village to join the Dark Department."

"uchiha Ying."

"Here."

"From today, you are a part of my direct ANBU corps."

"Yes."

So they really want me in the ANBU.

And I wasn't even given a choice.

uchiha Ying silently complained in his heart.

But… Old Man Sarutobi finally moved a piece on the board.

I just wonder how much will change when the Sand Village actually strikes.

"However, Lord Hokage—what about my teacher Kurenai?"

Ying hesitated—feeling reluctant to leave Hinata's team so soon.

"It's fine. You'll be an ANBU intern. Unless a mission requires you, you'll remain on Team 8."

"So… still two jobs."

That Kakashi guy must also be pulling triple duty—ANBU commander, elite jonin, and Team 7's instructor.

Ying shot him a look of sympathy.

"Zi, take him down and get him settled. Go over the ANBU rules while you're at it."

"Yes."

A promotion through pain and shadow?

Moonlight Kurenai grew increasingly curious about the young uchiha.

"This person… Sister? Do ANBU members always wear masks?"

Looking at the cat-faced woman beside him, Ying tilted his head.

"No. Only during missions."

Moonlight led him through the winding paths of the village to a quiet, hidden building.

She produced a key and unlocked the door.

"Can Sister take off her mask?"

...

Moonlight hesitated. Then nodded.

"Sure."

Even as she responded coldly, she still obeyed.

Great.

uchiha Ying watched as her mask lifted, revealing a face as delicate as a lotus blooming on water.

"What?"

Kurenai blinked, unsure how to respond.

"Beautiful purple hair. A calm voice. I was hoping there'd be a gorgeous onee-san under that mask—and I was right."

"You…"

Am I pretty?

Moonlight wasn't used to compliments like that. And yet…

He's clearly flirting. But I don't dislike it.

"You're different from the other Uchiha."

That line came unexpectedly.

"Has Sister seen others?"

Ying threw out a cold joke.

"I have. They're famous."

She didn't name them—but she'd met Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Shisui.

And she'd watched one tear apart the clan, while the other vanished into legend.

Those two left deep scars across the village.

"Other Uchiha… tend to be distant. Even when they smile, there's a wall between you."

"But you… you don't act like that. You don't fake your smile."

"Is Sister praising me?"

Ying blinked. His voice was genuinely curious.

"Mhm."

Moonlight's voice remained cool, but her tone had softened.

"This house is yours for now. You can come anytime."

"Thank you."

He originally thought it would be some secret ANBU base.

Still, he forgot to ask—does this mean I get paid double?

Knowing Sarutobi's stingy ways, probably not.

"You're welcome. It's standard ANBU policy."

"No, Sister saved me twice before. This is repayment."

"That was my job. And…"

She nearly let something slip.

He nearly died on my watch. I still feel guilty about it.

"If you ever need help, come find me. My name's Moonlight Kurenai. Codename: Purple."

She handed him the key and a black ANBU manual—then disappeared into the night.

"Moonlight Kurenai…"

Definitely her.

But she doesn't realize something important yet.

People who have helped you once—are very likely to help you again.

Ying knew this all too well.

So when she called out to him earlier, he followed without question.

Because he trusted her.

And now, he had the Hokage's personal ANBU authority.

Sounds troublesome—but useful.

The Will of Fire may flow through the ANBU… but the ANBU's will doesn't always align with the Hokage's.

One day, I'll shape it myself.

uchiha Ying lay back on the bed of the hidden house, flipping open the ANBU manual and planning his next move.

"Ying, why are you always getting back so late these days?"

"My jonin teacher is just… more responsible."

Back in the Uchiha district, Sasuke greeted him with suspicion.

Of course, Ying kept the ANBU stuff secret—not because of protocol, but to avoid triggering Sasuke's jealousy.

Sasuke and Naruto, still caught up in the Will of Fire ideology, would see ANBU induction as a massive honor.

"Then you got lucky."

Sasuke thought about the lazy white-haired ninja he'd been assigned to—Kakashi.

He'd expected elite ninja training. Missions. Progress.

But reality was… cats. Dogs. No progress.

Not like the weird dreams at night.

Those were something else.

And speaking of—

"Think you'll finish the mission tonight?"

Naruto piped up.

"Fifty-fifty. Your control has improved a lot."

Though Ying avoided the specifics.

From any perspective—even his past life—Naruto's method was becoming *way* too effective.

"Let's sleep already!"

Sasuke turned in quickly, hugging his pillow.

He might scorn Naruto's unorthodox methods—but power was power.

And if it worked, so be it.

[Enter Instance?]

Ying closed his eyes, instantly pulled into the dream copy.

Hovering mid-air: Hagoromo, Hamura, and Kaguya.

"Enter."

As always, he selected Naruto and Sasuke as party members.

They spawned on a quiet hilltop.

The two got moving immediately.

"Mastering sword control!"

Sasuke pulled wire and a short blade from his belt and trapped a frog in a flash.

In mere moments, the future Great Sage Frog was tied up like a dumpling.

"Now dodge their attacks!"

More precisely—dodge the area-of-effect damage from three celestial monsters and ten tailed beasts.

"Go left, cut through that valley, then sprint to the crater—"

After countless resets, the three had memorized the timing of Hagoromo, Hamura, and the tailed beasts' attacks.

As long as they didn't stand out, the attack patterns stayed the same.

Memorize the blast zones. Move quickly. Don't die.

BOOM BOOM!

A tailed beast bomb obliterated a nearby ridge.

The shockwave still made Ying's heart jolt—even after dozens of runs.

"Now, Naruto! Use that jutsu!"

Kaguya was dazed from Hagoromo and Hamura's seal. It was the perfect chance.

Ying and Sasuke threw Naruto into the sky.

"Got it! Watch this!"

Naruto grinned, forming hand signs mid-air.

"Multi-Shadow Clone: Sexy Jutsu!!"
