Chapter 10 - Revoking Adventurer Status

"A little convenience?"

Fels wasn't so foolish as to accept Roy's proposed deal. After a brief exchange, he already realized that this young man was not easy to deal with. He wasn't afraid of Adventurers being powerful, only of Adventurers being cultured.

"Uranus…"

Fels pulled out a crystal ball the size of a baby's fist, clear and transparent, silently calling out. The Great God on the other side had heard their entire conversation.

Roy's eyes lit up with desire; what a good item.

"Sage" Fels, possessing "mysterious" developmental abilities, was likely the most skilled magic item creator of his time. He had once stepped into the "Domain of the Gods" and created the Sage's Stone, which granted eternal life.

That crystal ball was also his magic item.

The magic item "Eye Crystal": the sights and sounds captured by one crystal ball would be reflected in another. This item could transmit messages even across long distances, making it the only communication tool in this world.

"Alright!"

A moment later, a calm and firm voice emanated from the crystal ball. Roy and Lione's hearts trembled. The Great God Uranus, the founding God of Orario!

Although neither of them had ever met Uranus, that voice gave them this feeling—a more intense and profound impression than that of ordinary Gods.

"The transaction is complete. As long as you don't expose Zagnate's information, you can do whatever you like." Fels's figure gradually disappeared into the darkness.

"The Guild's Ghost…"

Lione remembered something. It was said that Guild staff occasionally spotted mysterious black-robed figures near the headquarters. As the rumors spread, they became the elusive "Ghosts." There were also whispers that these were the Guild's private soldiers.

Now, it seemed, it was not false information.

"The most crucial trump card is in hand!" Roy secretly smiled. Fels taking the initiative to come to him was truly wonderful.

What the Guild wanted was to explore the Underground City and complete the three Adventurer requests entrusted to Orario by the world. For this, they would "consider the big picture."

Even if Freya charmed all of Orario, the high-ranking Guild officials would still come forward to protect her.

As long as it was for the big picture, the other party would spare no effort. Roy felt a little regretful.

He should have extorted a few more magic items from them.

Even one or two items that slipped through Fels's fingers would be enough for him to thrive.

The "Sage" blocking their path was just a small interlude. Roy and Lione continued towards the Guild headquarters.

With the Guild taken care of, Lione suddenly gained a little more confidence in Roy's plan to destroy the Rudra Familia.

After the two finalized all the details, a massive building constructed of white stone appeared before them, grand and imposing, looking like a great temple. This was the absolute center of Orario—the Guild headquarters.

Many Adventurers were coming and going.

Some had just emerged from the Underground City, exchanging their harvested magic stones for falis; others had just joined a Familia and came to the Guild to register their identity and seek advice. In short, this was a place completely unrelated to the word "deserted."

"It's Gale."

"That guy isn't dead?"

"Don't be silly. Someone saw her on the eighteenth floor the day before yesterday."

When Lione entered the Guild headquarters, she immediately attracted a lot of attention, and everyone whispered.

A slender, beautiful Elf Girl was already very eye-catching, and Lione, as a Level 4 Second-Tier Adventurer, had the name "Gale" renowned throughout the world.

In Orario, almost no one didn't know her.

Because of this, although the Astrea Familia's accident had not yet been officially announced, rumors were already flying everywhere.

Countless eyes in the Guild hall gathered on Lione. The Elf Girl showed no sign of shyness, her small face taut, as cold as a large block of ice.

Lione went to the counter. The person responsible for receiving her was Remel, the experienced section chief.

"Miss Lione, is there anything we can help you with?" Remel asked politely.

"I'm here to revoke the Adventurer statuses of Ais Wallenstein, Gojouno Kaguyahime, Lyra… and ten others," Lione said. Each name she uttered felt like a sharp blade cutting into her heart.

And this pain would eventually transform into a surging flame of revenge, burning towards the people of the Dark Faction.

The spacious hall of the Guild headquarters fell silent.

Revoking Adventurer status—almost no one present didn't know what that meant. The Astrea Familia's annihilation was already a foregone conclusion!

"Hiss!"

A collective gasp echoed through the hall.

The Apollo Familia, with about a hundred members and only one Level 3 Adventurer, could be called a mid-tier Familia. The Astrea Familia, with nine Level 4s and two Level 3s, was on a completely different level.

Looking at Orario, openly stronger than the Astrea Familia were only the Freya Familia, Loki Familia, Ganesha Familia… just a few.

The destruction of the Astrea Familia was nothing short of a thunderbolt for Orario.

Shock, doubt, unease, schadenfreude…

Roy saw complex emotions on everyone's faces, and it wasn't difficult to understand.

Some feared the Dark Faction's resurgence, some felt relieved due to past grievances with the Astrea Familia, and others had bewildered expressions.

Roy also felt complicated. He hadn't even registered as an Adventurer yet, but he was accompanying someone else to revoke Adventurer statuses. It seemed a bit unlucky…

Then, Roy shook his head, casting all those messy thoughts out of his mind.

Even Remel looked incredulous, asking again, "Are you really going to revoke the Adventurer statuses of Ais Wallenstein and ten others?"

Lione's expression was grim as she said, "Yes!"

Remel dared not hesitate any longer, calling out to his other colleagues to retrieve the Astrea Familia's registered data. An Adventurer who had lost their companions was a ticking time bomb, so he quickly wanted to get rid of this hot potato.

Soon, the process of revoking Adventurer status was completed. A red "Deceased" label was stamped on the files of Ais Wallenstein and the others.

"Miss Lione, is there anything else you need help with?" Remel asked cautiously.

Lione said, "I want to post an Adventurer request!"

Adventurers who were about to leave the Guild headquarters and spread the news stopped in their tracks. The matter wasn't over yet!

Lione slapped the voucher Roy had given her onto the counter. "This is a voucher for eighty million falis. I want to initiate a War Game against the Rudra Familia. If they don't agree, this money will become the bounty for an Adventurer request in three days, placing a bounty on the Rudra Familia!"

"What?!"

The Adventurers in the Guild hall suddenly widened their eyes, looking at the Elf Girl in disbelief.

This was definitely a threat!

Only two options lay before the Rudra Familia: accept the War Game, or be heavily bountied and hunted down to death by Orario's Adventurers.

But was this Elf Girl blinded by anger because her teammates were annihilated? To contend against the entire Rudra Familia by herself?
