Vixen Sature barely managed to reach Kin Ouren when he extended a hand to touch his back—but suddenly, Kin let out a demonic, guttural laugh, eyes flashing, and dashed into the bedroom like a possessed soul.
Startled but determined, Vixen ran in after him.
What he saw made his blood run cold.
Kin was crouched on top of the bed, muttering demonic mantras, his body swaying, and laughing like a creature from the underworld.
For a second, Vixen felt a shiver down his spine.
But he didn't back away.
Instead, he summoned all his courage and released his magical alpha pheromone, a divine force that surged through the air. In that moment, Kin's body convulsed and the possession broke mid-fall, as if a dark hand had been forced to let go.
Kin collapsed onto the bed—unconscious, pale, weak.
That night, they didn't have dinner.
Vixen cleaned Kin up gently and laid him in bed, watching over him the entire night.

The Next Morning…
Vixen made a decision.
He would take Kin to the ancient Buddhist Monastery on the outskirts of the village—far from the cursed soil of Zemura.
By sunrise, Vixen carried Kin into the monastery grounds, the sound of morning chants echoing faintly in the breeze. The air there felt lighter, calmer, untouched by the darkness clinging to Zemura.
As they climbed the old stone steps, Vixen knelt before the sacred shrine, closed his eyes, and prayed.
He offered incense and flowers, confessing the sins of their past life, begging the deity for forgiveness—for failing to protect Kin then… and now.
When they turned to leave, an elderly monk suddenly appeared behind them.
He was short, wrinkled, but carried a bright, almost playful smile—yet his eyes held great wisdom.
"You two came from Zemura, didn't you?" the monk asked, stopping them.
Vixen nodded, cautiously.
The monk's smile faded. "Your life partner is in great danger. You must remain very careful."
Vixen stiffened. He listened in silence.
The monk continued, this time with a gentle seriousness,
> "He possesses a rare gift—a pheromone that attracts all spirits… good or evil. Not just spirits, but even animal souls."
Kin and Vixen both froze in shock.
Kin stepped forward and asked quietly,
> "Can I protect myself… using my pheromones?"
The monk nodded. "Yes. But only if you stay aware. When darkness surrounds you—call upon the good spirits or animal souls. They'll come if you ask with sincerity."
Vixen exhaled slowly.
For now, he had learned something critical.
But deep inside, he knew this was only the beginning.
