Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Take Over the Prawns and Fire the Head Coach Squid!

May 2000 — Morecambe Training Ground

"Mr. Juninho D'Alessandro, the paperwork is complete. The club officially belongs to you now."

"You are the new owner of Morecambe FC."

Ryan, the team's managing director, looked carefully at the young man standing before him — a foreigner with a youthful face, still somewhat unpolished, but clearly full of conviction.

His tone was polite, but his eyes carried a mix of doubt and unease.

Opposite him, Juninho D'Alessandro wore a confused expression, brows furrowed and eyes darting around as if trying to place himself.

"…Did I just… transmigrate?"

As a former youth development coach with deep roots in South American football, Juninho had spent the night drowning in frustration after witnessing his national team suffer yet another humiliating defeat. A few too many drinks later, and everything went black.

When he woke up again, he was in a different place — and inside his head were memories that didn't belong to him.

In this new life, he was the son of a wealthy football-obsessed family from Brazil. Seeking adventure, he'd come to England and, on a whim, acquired a Fourth Division club.

Apparently, the deal had just been finalized, and Ryan had been walking him through the final formalities.

"Morecambe…" Juninho muttered, the name jogging something in his memory. His eyes lit up. "Wait, is this the team with the prawn logo?!"

Indeed, Morecambe FC, whose crest proudly features a giant red shrimp, had developed a bit of a cult following among Football Manager and FIFA fans. Despite its lower-league status, it was a favorite for those dreaming of rags-to-riches stories.

Back home, fans even nicknamed it the "Century Prawn."

Ryan raised an eyebrow at Juninho's sudden excitement.

"Mr. D'Alessandro," he said cautiously, "forgive me for asking, but… why did someone like you choose to buy such a small club?"

"Hmm…"

Juninho, now fully immersed in this new identity, smiled. "Don't you think there's something magical about taking a tiny club all the way to the Premier League? Step by step. Climbing to the top with nothing but heart."

He wasn't lying.

In his past life, when choosing a club to manage in career mode, he always picked low-tier teams. Why?

Not because they had money. But because leading an unknown side from the bottom to the Champions League? That journey — that dream — was priceless.

To take a club like Morecambe and someday challenge the giants of Europe?

That was a challenge worthy of obsession.

Ryan blinked, stunned by the sincerity in the young man's voice. Then, he gave him a sideways glance.

Was this guy serious?

After all, Ryan had spent over three decades with Morecambe. He too dreamed of promotion — maybe to League One someday. But the Premier League? That was pure fantasy.

Still, Juninho was now the club's majority owner — and the man who'd just rescued them from financial ruin.

"Haha… Well, Mr. D'Alessandro," Ryan said, extending a hand, "here's to a fruitful partnership."

"Pleasure to work with you," Juninho replied, shaking it.

As they let go, Ryan asked, "By the way, the new season starts soon. Have you thought about your first move?"

Surely, he assumed, the new boss had some transfer budget in mind. Maybe a few million to sign some proven players from League Two or even League One?

Juninho opened his mouth to respond — but suddenly froze.

Juninho's eyes widened.

A football coaching system?!

His heartbeat quickened as he glanced back at Ryan. Confidence surged within him like a rising tide.

"My first move…" he said slowly.

"…is to fire Head Coach Brown and take the position myself."

There was a moment of stunned silence.

In his past life, Juninho would've hesitated. Coaching a professional team, in England no less, wasn't something to take lightly.

But now — with the system backing him — he had nothing to fear.

"…Wh-what?!"

Ryan nearly staggered backwards, a chill shooting down his spine.

It's over… he thought grimly.

This young Brazilian hadn't come to build a legacy — he'd come to play manager in real life!

A hobbyist. A dreamer. A rich boy pretending to be Sir Alex.

And worse — he was appointing himself head coach.

Ryan had never heard of a South American manager suddenly taking charge of an English team in the Fourth Division. Not one who looked barely old enough to rent a car.

If Juninho was serious… then Morecambe was doomed.

And yet, there was nothing Ryan could do to stop it.

After all, Juninho D'Alessandro now owned 99% of the club.
