Chapter 72 - Chapter 72: The Five Elders Were Furious: This Reckless Man!

The wave of Conqueror's Haki crushed down, leaving the three Celestial Dragons collapsed like beaten dogs, trembling on the ground.

Beneath them, puddles spread, and a foul stench filled the air.

Kizaru was dumbfounded. Good grief—did they really just piss and shit themselves from sheer intimidation!?

But that wasn't the worst of it. The true problem was clear in Kizaru's mind—Good had used Conqueror's Haki against the Celestial Dragons.

That was outright blasphemy.

This was trouble—serious trouble.

Around them, the Marines froze, silent in terror.

Admiral Reckless Maniac had just struck out at the World Nobles… so brazenly?

What would the World Government do in response?

The Celestial Dragons were descendants of the nineteen kings who founded the World Government. Their status surpassed even the admirals themselves.

In his previous world's terms, they were royalty.

And laying hands on royalty… was no small matter.

The news quickly reached Fleet Admiral Sengoku.

Sengoku was exasperated beyond words.

"This bastard! Why does Good cause chaos every single time he leaves headquarters?!"

Before, his blunders could be spun as victories.

But this time was different—he had dared to attack the Celestial Dragons!

"Is he insane!?" Sengoku fumed, his face red with rage.

Beside him, Garp burst into hearty laughter.

"Hahaha! That brat did what I've always wanted to do but never could. Well done!"

Sengoku glared at him. "Garp! You idiot! Don't say such things, not even in front of me. If word spreads, you'll be in just as much trouble!"

But Garp was utterly nonchalant. He grinned widely.

"Relax, Sengoku. I know those old fossils in the World Government well. Since Good didn't physically strike them, this won't be too hard to smooth over. Besides, with his reputation and influence in the Navy right now, they won't dare touch him."

Garp knew this firsthand.

He carried the "D" in his name, and the Government had once wanted to erase him. But after he became a Navy hero, even they couldn't move against him.

Sengoku sighed heavily.

"Let's just hope that reckless fool learns some restraint. If he ever kills a Celestial Dragon in a fit of rage, no amount of glory will save him…"

Meanwhile, in Mary Geoise.

The moment the Celestial Dragons' plight was reported, the Five Elders convened.

Their faces were grim.

The elder with the longest beard spoke first.

"That reckless fool Good… he dared show such disrespect to the Celestial Dragons."

"This is a blatant slap to the face of the World Government."

Another, gripping the First Generation Kitetsu, growled,

"Not once in history has any admiral treated the Government with such disregard. Tell me—how should we deal with him? Shall we send CP to erase him?"

Even the boldest Supernovas wouldn't lay a hand on the Celestial Dragons. Only reckless idiots like Luffy… and now, this Good.

They had once believed Good was their trump card.

But now, it was clear—he wasn't a man who bowed to authority.

After a pause, the bearded elder shook his head.

"No. We cannot move against him. Not only can we not punish him—we cannot even hold him accountable."

The other Elders looked at him in shock, but kept silent, waiting for his reasoning.

The elder continued firmly:

"We need him. Right now, we cannot afford to lose Admiral Reckless Maniac."

The chamber fell silent.

But every man present understood.

Good's recent feats had elevated him to an irreplaceable pillar.

The Navy faced the prospect of battling not one, but two Yonko crews—Whitebeard's and Kaido's.

The only reason they dared announce Ace and Kaido's public execution was because Good stood with them.

Without him, the war was lost before it began.

The World Government could not punish him.

They couldn't even reprimand him.

For now, they had no choice but to treat him like a godsend—pampered and untouchable.

Otherwise, the coming war could be declared lost before it began.

Good's strength, his victories, his influence among the soldiers—he was indispensable.

The Five Elders exchanged silent looks.

Not one of them was a fool.

They all understood perfectly well.

This "reckless" admiral was both their greatest asset—and their greatest danger.
