Sengoku was a little shocked. "What do you mean Kaido is down?"
Could it be that after Akainu went to provide support, he and Good joined forces to defeat Kaido?
However, once Akainu finished reporting, Sengoku was stunned.
The new admiral Good was truly fierce! To a strategist like Sengoku, it seemed idiotic and reckless—using nothing but raw strength instead of Devil Fruit abilities to fight a monster like Kaido. Wasn't that just asking for trouble?
But the final result spoke for itself.
Sengoku's worry turned into elation. Garp, noticing his change in demeanor, asked curiously, "What's going on? Just now you were frowning, and now you're grinning like an idiot."
Ignoring Garp, Sengoku muttered with relief, "As I thought, I wasn't wrong in promoting Good to admiral. It was a wise decision."
"With this reckless admiral holding the line, I doubt any pirate will dare challenge the Navy in the future."
As he said this, Sengoku laughed heartily.
Garp, however, only looked at him speechless. Sengoku was getting carried away again. A while ago he was ready to strip Good of his admiral title, and now he was talking about him being a future Fleet Admiral? Typical Sengoku double talk.
Sengoku didn't bother explaining. He immediately picked up the Den Den Mushi to call the Five Elders.
With Good's victory, he was certain he could secure at least a hundred billion Beli in funding.
Holy Land, Mary Geoise.
The Five Elders once again received Sengoku's call.
"What is it this time?" the Elder with the longest beard asked, slightly surprised.
Sengoku hadn't been this eager to report in years, but lately he seemed to be calling nonstop.
Without wasting words, Sengoku relayed the events of Dressrosa—though leaving out some of the details.
Even without specifics, the news made the Elders overjoyed.
Normally they remained stoic, but today all five of them were grinning ear to ear.
"Well done, Reckless Admiral, well done!" the bearded Elder repeated, too excited to say anything else.
How could they not be thrilled? Just days ago Good had fought Whitebeard, and now he had captured Kaido. Once this news spread, the world government's deterrence and prestige would skyrocket, striking fear into all who opposed them.
"Sengoku, you and Good have done well. The world government will not treat him poorly. In a few days, we will award him fifty billion Beli as his bonus," the second Elder declared.
The others nodded in agreement, some even thinking it wasn't enough.
A powerhouse like Good needed to be firmly tied to the world government. So long as he stayed a Marine, they could control him and prevent him from becoming a pirate.
If used properly, this "weapon" could even bring the Great Pirate Era to an end.
With a deep smile, the bearded Elder said, "Sengoku, at Ace's public execution, we'll also execute Kaido."
"The son of Roger, and one of the Four Emperors—both put to death at once. The world will tremble!"
Portgas D. Ace represented the bloodline of the Pirate King, and Kaido was a living symbol of the current pirate era. Publicly executing them together would terrify the seas, suppressing any pirate daring to challenge the Navy or world government.
Sengoku hesitated, showing a conflicted expression.
If this happened, the war with Whitebeard's crew could take an unpredictable turn.
Though Kaido's Calamities had escaped, and the remnants of the Beast Pirates had fled, their numbers were still nearly thirty thousand strong—far from negligible.
But the Elders didn't care. All they wanted was to solidify the authority of the world government. Executing Ace and Kaido together would have the greatest impact.
"It's fine! With Good around, even if Kaido escapes again, we have nothing to fear," the Elder declared.
Since the decision had been made, Sengoku had no choice but to agree.
Meanwhile, in Dressrosa.
Good, Akainu, Momousagi, and the Marines escorted Kaido, Queen, and the captured Beast Pirates back toward Marineford.
Doflamingo was also forced to follow, with no courage to defy them.
Good's overwhelming strength was etched deeply in his mind.
In a cabin, Good lay fast asleep. The battle had exhausted him, leaving only minor injuries. With rest, and his Super Physique, he would fully recover.
Momousagi sat nearby, legs crossed, arms folded, smiling faintly as she watched him sleep.
Chaton, standing at the side, looked uncomfortable and mocked, "Momousagi, stop disturbing the Reckless Admiral's rest. Let's go."
But Momousagi shot him a cold glare. "Why are you here? Don't interrupt me and Good's private time."
"Otherwise, I'll kill you."
Chaton's face darkened, and he quickly retreated in embarrassment.
His image of Momousagi had completely collapsed—she was starting to act just as brash as the Reckless Admiral himself.
Slamming the door shut, Chaton left with a pained heart.
In just half a month, Momousagi had grown this close to Good, while his years of pursuit had gotten him nothing.
The warship sailed across the sea. Without Good using the Float-Float Fruit, it would take several days to reach Marineford.
The next day, news of Kaido's capture spread like wildfire.
The Navy's announcement shook the entire world.
"The Emperor of the Sea has fallen? Is this a false report?"
"The world's strongest creature was actually taken down?"
Shock rippled across the seas. Even the allied pirate crews began fleeing in panic.
"Didn't they just announce that the new admiral beat Whitebeard? And now he's captured Kaido too?"
"Who was responsible this time?"
"It was the Reckless Admiral again!"
The world boiled over!
