"Well," Lindsay turned to me after Mr. Brown left. "Looks like I'm going to win this round after all."
I rolled my eyes. "Dream on, Lindsay."
Her brows raised. "Since when have you cared anyone but yourself?"
"Excuse me?"
She folded her arms. "Or is it because Oliver lives there?"
My body stiffened at the mention of Oliver.
"What are you talking about?" Damien asked.
"You better shut your mouth, Lindsay," I said through gritted teeth.
She turned to Damien with a wide smile. "She didn't tell you?"
Damien frowned. "Tell me what?"
I banged the table and shoved a finger in her face. "Lindsay, say one more word…"
She moved closer, her breath fanning my face. "Or what?"
"Lindsay, enough," Drake said.
She turned to him. "Why are you protecting her? Damien deserves to know the truth."
I should have known better than to pity the toad back at brunch with Cami. I should have exposed her right there in front of everyone.
