Years ago, the world was torn apart when the gates opened between dimensions that unleashed creatures unlike anything humanity had ever faced. These beasts shattered the balance of the food chain, toppling civilizations and nearly wiping humanity off the map.
But humanity is stubborn.
In its darkest hour, something awakened. People ordinary and broken began to evolve. Powers emerged in them, defying the laws of nature. These "Awakened" pushed back, closing the gates one by one and restoring the world.
But peace never comes without a price.
Even after the gates were sealed, the Awakened still retained their powers. In the hands of a few, these powers brought hope. But in the eyes of the world's leaders, they were ticking time bombs
On the day the final gate was closed, humanity rejoiced. The gate belonged to one of the Seven Demon Kings Envy. Though not the strongest, Envy was the slyest. As it fell, dying beneath the combined might of the world's finest warriors, it smiled.
A whisper echoed across the minds of all, for those who were just normal humans it said
"The hunters who had killed monster, now that the monsters are finished what will they do to you now?
You're just livestock, Waiting to be slaughtered."
For the Awakened, it said
"Now that it's over, what are you going to now?
Go back to earning wages?
Back to being ordered around by those powerless humans?"
No one spoke of it aloud, everyone believed it was just a personal thought.
But the seed of envy had been planted.
And it bloomed fast.
Government leaders, afraid of losing control, struck preemptively. As the final gate closed and the Awakened stood at their weakest, exhausted and unarmed, they acted.
Families were kidnapped.
Threats were made.
And once again, humanity forgot who its real enemies were.
The HUNTERS who didn't knew what had happened to their families those who needed medical attention were being healed, some were resting and some were talking happily with their friends.
Liam stood at the edge of the city, staring at the towering concrete structures that loomed over the remnants of a once thriving world. The government had summoned all awakened individuals, those who had gained extraordinary powers from the monsters, to a gathering that promised safety and unity. As Liam made his way through the crowd, a knot of unease twisted in his heart.
He wasn't alone; nearly all the awakened ones had arrived, their expressions a mix of hope and suspicion. Among them was a powerful awakened woman named Seraphine, known for her abilities in manipulating space and time, they had fought many battles side by side not just her he nearly knew everyone present there because at some point of time they had fought together .
Suddenly the were lights dimmed soldiers stormed the venue, rounding up the awakened, while assembling the hostages on the stage, These hostages were the loves ones of the awakened .
As the government feared them and their shocking display of power, they threatened the awakened:
"Kill yourselves or we kill them."
As despair washed over the crowd, some succumbed to hopelessness, taking their own lives in front of those who remained. Others, consumed by rage and fear, turned against the innocents, igniting a brutal spiral of violence.
they were divided into 3 groups
Group 1:who took their own lives for their loved ones.
Group 2:who didn't cared about anyone and started killing the people from government.
Group 3:which had sympathy for the innocent ones who were getting killed in this crossfire.
After this order from government many awakened started killing, human started killing humans the thing government feared came true because of their ENVY and they were responsible for all those people who died ,law and order crumbled.
In the wake of societal collapse, the awakened find themselves in a position that forces them to reveal their true selves. Some see their newfound abilities as a means of dominance, a way to survive in a world that has reverted to a jungle-like state where only the fittest survive, or the most ruthless thrives. HUNTERS who had always killed monsters, their dark side which they didn't reveled because of their loved ones, they have no more reason to hide it anymore and they give in to their darker instincts, using power as a weapon to control, manipulate and kill.
On the other hand, there are those awakened who view their powers as a responsibility. They understand how easily human life can end as they seen have many others get killed and just wanted to stop this endless cycle of death and feel an obligation to protect those who cannot protect themselves. Those Hunters provide refuge to the weak, taking on the role of protectors in a world that has abandoned all sense of order. In doing so, they carry the burden of ensuring that they do not become the very thing they fear those who use power to harm rather than to help.
Trust became rare, Refugees who seek shelter under the awakened individual always had doubts whether they've made the right choice because they can die with a flick of the fingers from the very same awakened who is protecting them now? Or worse, what if their protector is unable to fend off those who want to kill them?

As a Nobel awakened, Seraphine was famous as holy goddess as a hunter,so many ppl choose to follow her.
In the heart of the mountains, Seraphine who had the powers of time and space, used her powers to create a domain a safe haven that shielded them from the chaos below. Here, the air was thick but a person can survive here, where chaos was unfolding in outside world people started to live here in fear .
She made a safe place for the people and left, she didn't want to rule or lead anyone,nor she wanted them to live in fear of her powers.
The sanctuary thrived, a small community formed from the last remnants of humans, they started to live there, but with the
knowledge of modern era there advancement was pretty quick and just like that many years passed fear turned into peace and they forgot the happenings of the past as new generation came.
