It's still the familiar dark world, with no boundaries, suffocating darkness.
A beam of white light fell from a great height and landed beside Gu You. In the darkness, there seemed to be a barrier of light that was not devoured by the darkness. Gu You stood surrounded by the white light and looked up, unable to see where the light was coming from. Spread out his hands, and the white light filled them, warm and cozy.
"Where am I? Dream? Or the land of death?" He asked.
But no one came back to answer his question.
"I'm dead, I was killed by the Undead warrior." Gu You recalled the black armor, the eyes hidden in the shadows, and the cross slash in the hands of the dead warriors. He recalled seven crosses piercing his body from all sides at once. He recalled the heart-wrenching pain at that time.
"Prison slave, why do you do this?" As the pain subsided, the words welled up from the bottom of the heart.
Is it all a prison slave's plot? Lure yourself to the Tidal Inn and then send the Undead Warrior to kill yourself? Yes, that's it. At the moment of his death, Gu You remained steadfast in his belief.
Then the world became void, leaving only this darkness and this beam of light in the darkness.
Gu You wanted to find the exit of the darkness and kept walking in the darkness. But wherever he went, he could never get out of the shadow of the light. It seems that this beam of light is a prison, an eternal prison, imprisoning itself in the deepest part of darkness.
"I'm dead, I can't leave this place." Gu You often says this. But he never gave up searching.
Sometimes, when his will and desire were particularly intense, he could see some illusions in the darkness. Familiar, strange, one figure after another emerges from the darkness. Then streets appeared, trees appeared, houses appeared in the darkness. Although the whole world was dark, Gu You was still able to discern.
The intense darkness dissipated and gradually took on layers.
It seemed like a cliff ahead, with rocks cut off a few steps away, and beyond that, there was only empty darkness.
"Prison slave, where are you?" I want to ask you, did you really send the soul warrior who killed me? Were all the conspiracies really arranged by you? Would you kill me if I didn't have the Black Lettering stone?" Gu You muttered to himself.
"Alas, fate has arranged it this way. I have the Black Lettering Stone, and you have to kill the man who has it. But I still won't believe that those people were sent by you. That afternoon I heard we would meet at the Tidal Inn, and there was another man whom you called Your Excellency the Bishop. Perhaps the Necromancer is his subordinate."
"Prison slave, where are you? Tell me in person, tell me everything, will you?"
The scene in the darkness remains the same, still the same cliff.
"Why still here? The prison slave is in the cathedral. How could it be here?" Gu You found it strange.
A slender body walked into the barrier of light and vanished under the illumination of the light. Then the figure walked out from the other end of the beam prison, towards the cross-section of the cliff.
"... After eating this last love fruit, I will never love again..."
A faint, faint sound passed through the darkness, through the beam of light, and the familiar sound lingered in Gu You's ears.
"Prison slave..." Gu You shouted.
The prison slave seemed to hear his voice and turned his head. The eyes were empty darkness. She said, "Gu You, is that you?"
"It's me, it's me." Gu You's tears were almost falling. The voice of the prison slave was too desolate, too desperate.
Suddenly, there was a void under the prisoner's feet, and it fell into the dark cross-section. Gu You lunged forward and stretched out his hand. As he moved, the beam returned to a flat ground. Gu You reached out his hand to the "cliff", but it touched the cold, stiff floor.
No cliff, no prison slave.
"Ah - prison slave - prison slave -" Gu You lay on the ground and cried out like a madman. Did the prison slave really fall off the cliff? Really? Prison slave, is she dead?
Suddenly remembering something, Gu You stood up and took several steps back. The beam exited the cut of the cliff, and everything gradually emerged again.
The cliff, and the figure lying on its edge.
"Who is he?" " "Gu You said. Wasn't the spot where that figure lay down exactly where he had just tried to lie down and hold the falling prisoner?
The figure stood up, and his hand pulled up from below the cliff. The prisoner's body was pulled up and landed lightly on the cliff. But the figure turned away and soon vanished into the depths of darkness.
The prisoner sat on a stone as if someone were speaking to her. But Gu You couldn't see anyone else here.
That day, Gu You was with the prison slave, sitting not far from her, quietly looking at her for a long time. Until a faint smile appeared on her face. Looking at her smile, all the worries in my heart melted away in an instant.
She raised her hand in front of her eyes and stared at the little thing she was pinching with her thumb and index finger.
Gu You came a little closer and looked closely, and found that what she was holding in her hand was actually a phoenix fruit.
"I bought it, the phoenix fruit she loves the most."
The fragments that had settled deep in my memory were stirred up again. That day, in the cathedral, she took Gu You by the hand and said to him: "... Don't forget to buy my favorite phoenix fruit..."
Favorite... Love fruit...
All doubts have dissipated. Gu You began to firmly believe that the group of undead warriors who were lying in wait at the Tidal Inn must not have been sent by prison slaves, but had something to do with the bishop of God. As for who saved the prison slaves on the cliff, Gu You could not guess.
Later, the prisoner stood up and left. Gu You followed her all the way. But she couldn't see her, nor could she hear him.
After an unknown period of time, the prison slave vanished, and the scene changed anew in the darkness.
In a vague sense, Gu You saw many people on horseback, with sharp axes hanging at their waists. He knew these were the Dark Knights. Immediately after that, the scene turned into another picture. He saw himself in a grand hall where many people were sitting. A man came out of a door on the left side of the hall, his steps a little unsteady.
"This man... It's Alchemy!" Gu You saw the face in the darkness and suddenly realized that this hall was a church. What did Lian Wu do in the church?
"Revenge for me?" A thought rose from the bottom of Gu You's heart, startling him himself. Thinking of those dark Knights just now, they must have come from here.
But Lian Wu still stood there, asking questions to others. Gu You couldn't hear what they were saying.
"You idiot!" Gu You said to Lian Wu.
"Who?" Who cursed me?" "Lian Wu shouted at the people in the church.
"You fool, get out of here." Gu You was a little uneasy. The Dark Knight was coming soon.
Lian Wu turned his face to Gu You and said, "Gu You, is that you?"
Gu You was astonished that Lian Wu could see him. He took Lianwu out of the church and through a crowded street. Then Gu You turned into a small alley. Lian Wu could see him and hear him speak. He wanted to tell Lianwu that the mastermind behind the plot to kill him was not a prison slave but someone else.
He walked into the alley and brushed past a man's figure. Then the darkness became heavy again. All the hallucinations vanished.
"Lian Wu - Lian Wu -" Gu You shouted, but there was no reply from Lian Wu. As if exhausted, Gu fell limp in the middle of the beam. Lying flat on the floor, looking at the top of the beam, his vision gradually blurred.
When Gu You woke up, he saw knights searching all over the city. From the scattered cries of the people, he heard the name of this knight - the Light Knight. He knew they were hunting for Lienwu.
There was no need to search for the position of the dance; a door appeared very close beyond the beam. Gu You wanted to go over and knock on the door, but remembered that if he went over, the door would disappear in the beam, let alone knock.
"Perhaps I can go straight through this door." He thought.
He was about to go over when someone knocked on the door, as he had expected, three times in a row.
After a while, the door opened and Gu You saw Lian Wu again. He was wounded and bandaged around his waist. Then another person came over, seemingly unable to see or hear Gu You's voice. Just after Gu told Lian Wu about the manhunt by the Light Knight throughout the city, darkness melted away once again.
After that, Gu You saw countless people forming a circle. Dark knights, dead warriors, they laughed wildly at the center of the ring.
At the center of the ring are two Light Knights.
"Their fight has nothing to do with me." Gu You said, turning away. Just as he had taken a few steps, a strange and inexplicable feeling suddenly flowed through his heart. Gu You turned his head and looked at the Light Knight right in front of him. His eyes emerged from the gap of his helmet and magnified in Gu You's retina.
Those familiar eyes shone with a cold light. That was Lian Wu.
An axe flew towards Lianwu, but Lianwu was surrounded by the Cross Slash and had no way to dodge. Gu You let out a cry and broke out in a cold sweat on his back. He reached out his hand, but the axe stopped in front of Lian Wu. Gu You dared not let go of his hand, for from his hand he felt the magnetic force from the axe.
An inexplicable force was wandering, churning and rising within his body. There was only one consciousness left in Gu You's mind: The dance must survive.
The beam of light, no longer still, spread out in all directions, creating ripples that sparkled faintly. Gu You spread his hands on either side and heard the neighing of countless horses and the Shouting of people around.
Consciousness sank completely into darkness.
In the darkness, ripples of black swirled back. Those black rings swung into the beam but did not break or disappear. Instead, they clung to Gu You's body, encircled, and finally pierced through his clothes and sank into Gu You's body.
It seems to be absorbing some kind of energy.
Later, Gu You felt his gaze fall down, but his head never touched the floor. The whole person fell down, but the beam of light kept shining over him. Gu looked down. The floor vanished, and so did the circular surface of light that the beam had cast on it. The beam went straight down and had no end in sight.
A fierce wind whistled past his ears.
As the speed of the descent increased, Gu You had hallucinations again in his mind. True hallucinations, there were no more strange scenes in the darkness, but he still saw the beautiful face that often appeared in his dreams.
The prison slave stared at himself and said, "Gu You, so you are here. I finally found you, finally..."
The head began to be unable to bear the weightlessness brought by the crazy fall and became dizzy. Just before closing his eyes, Gu You saw the face of the prison slave very close. She closed her eyes, her hair falling over his face.
The burning lips left an endless warmth on Gu You's forehead.
Slowly closing his eyes, Gu You uttered the last two words: "Prison slave..."
