Chapter 35 - [Lost Memories] Chapter 34

Gu You's clothes moved slightly. It was the wind.

The prison slave hurriedly ran to the window, closed it, fearing that Gu You would be chilled by the wind. His hands gently closed the two Windows together, but he did not immediately return to the bedside. She stood by the window, her fingertips pulling the window frame, and her head slowly lowered.

"Gu You, I miss you..." Tears fell in big drops on my toes. I don't know why my tears are always so lackluster. I promised not to cry all day long, so that Gu You would find out and be sad. But whenever I thought of the doctor's words, I couldn't help feeling sad.

A few coughs came from behind.

"Gu You, I'm really conflicted inside. I wish you would wake up, hold my hand, talk to me and smile at me. But I'm afraid that when you wake up, we'll once again sink because of the secret of the black word stone. For now, at least you are not truly dead. But I'm so scared, scared that you'll really slip away from me..." Wiping the tears off his face, the prison slave pours out his sorrows to the window.

"Prison slave... I'm so thirsty..." A hoarse voice with a few coughs.

The prisoner's hands drooped feebly and his eyes were wide open. Gu You... Is that Gu You 's voice? Is he really speaking? The prisoner did not dare to turn around, for fear that when he turned back, he would realize it was just an illusion.

"Did you not hear me... Can... Give me a glass of water..." Behind the prison slave, on the bed a few steps away, Gu You supported himself with his hands and sat up with some difficulty.

The prisoner turned around, and tears froze on his face as speckles of light.

Gu You's white hair was slightly disheveled, and his complexion remained pale and weak. But there was a beautiful glow in his eyes, and the corners of his mouth curved into a pretty smile. His eyes were fixed on the prisoner's eyes, just as they had been when they first met, and he was absorbed.

The prison slave stood still, looking at Gu You, covering his mouth with his hands, somewhat at a loss. Happiness came too suddenly, and the prison slave couldn't believe what he saw with his own eyes. She looked into the white eyes, not daring to blink. She was afraid that if she blinked, tears would break through her eyes and fall down. She was afraid that in the blink of an eye Gu You would disappear as in all her previous hallucinations.

"Prison slave, are you okay?" "The prisoner asked.

"I... I'm fine..." The voice trembled a little.

 "You look much more haggard."

"No... No... You've lost a lot of weight too..."

"I'm fine. Just, I miss you so much, so much."

 "I... And I..."

 Gu You smiled gently.

The prisoner asked, "How are you feeling now?" Are you feeling unwell? I'll go and call a doctor for you right away."

"No, I'm fine. Just, I'm thirsty. Could you give me a glass of water?"

The prisoner nodded and said, "All right, it will be ready soon. You lie down and rest first." As he spoke, he ran to the table. She picked up a cup and then picked up the teapot and poured more than half a cup of water into it. Her hands were still trembling with excitement, and when she picked up the cup, the boiling water spilled out and onto her hand. Her hand trembled and the cup dropped from her hand and smashed to pieces on the floor.

The prison slave broke out in a cold sweat and looked up, still lying by Gu You's pillow.

 It's another dream.

The prisoner put on a garment, walked out of the room and gently closed the door. Though one doctor after another ruled that Gu You was dead, the prisoner was still not willing to accept it. Just as she had failed to find Gu You, she could still keep asking.

She always believed that the dream that led her to find Gu You was given to her by Gu You. She always believed that on that day on the cliff, it was Gu You who saved her, it was she who gave her hope and said so many words to her. So she believed that Gu You could still stand up as before and not yield to anyone.

Gu You, I really miss you so much. I really... I'm really selfish, saying that these days are peaceful and good, but I've been expecting you to wake up more than once. I want to hear you speak, I want to see you smile. And other things, let's talk about them when you wake up, okay?"

The prison slave walked past the cathedral, though no longer religious, she still stopped, closed her eyes and prayed for Gu You.

Those who had changed their horses, such as the Dance, the Soul, the Moon, the Candle, and the bell, rode past the praying prisoner.

After walking several meters, Lienwu suddenly grabbed the horse, turned his head and stared at the familiar figure. Just then the prison slave finished praying, opened his eyes and turned around.

 Two pairs of eyes met.

"Refine dance." The prison slave shouted and walked over.

Lianwu's hand was on his waist, his teeth clenched tightly, and he did not speak.

The prisoner came near and said, "Lian Wu, Gu You Ta..."

"You demoness!" Lian Wu roared, and the short sword at his waist slipped out with the forward stretch of his palm, pulling out a long white light, and the buzzing sound of the sword passing through the air spread freely.

The prison slave's upper body fell to the right, avoiding the short sword. But Lianwu's hand swung back, and the sword spun in his palm, passing past the prisoner's ear. The prisoner took several steps back, but a small strand of hair remained where he had started, lifted by the wind.

"Refine the dance..." Rong Yue shouted.

Shi Zhu pressed Lian Wu's sword-holding hand with his wand and said, "Lian Wu, what are you doing?"

"What am I doing?" "Do you know who this witch is?" said Lianwu. She is the one who tricked Gu You into trusting him and sent the Souls of the dead to kill him, the Holy Messenger of the church, the Prison slave demon."

"No, I didn't send the necromancer. I did not kill Gu You. It was the Bishop of God who sent the dead warriors to lie in wait at the Tidal Inn." The prison slave shook his hands and explained.

"Who believes your nonsense? Even if someone from the sect of God Lord goes, won't that be the same? They are all people of your church. If you hadn't asked Gu You to wait at the Tidal Inn, would we have been ambushed by you? What else can you guys do besides conspiracy?"

The prison slave fell silent. Lian Wu is right. If he hadn't asked Gu You to wait at the Tidal Inn, what would have happened later?

Lianwu said to the others, "Today, let me kill the real culprit and avenge Gu You."

"Lian Wu, Gu You is not dead." The prison slave said.

The soul sneered coldly, "Prison slave, I didn't expect you to receive the news so soon. That's really good."

"Remnant Soul? Are you a spirit?" At this moment, the prison slave discovered that the man in the red robe, holding the fire bow, was the remnant that had been displayed on the city tower of Wangshen. She couldn't believe that the dead had come back to life. But seeing the real remnant, there was a glimmer of hope in her heart. "Remnant, have you come back to life? Well, you must know how to bring Gu You back to life."

The remnant did not reply, not knowing what conspiracy the woman was plotting again.

"Remnant Soul, you can save Gu You, can't you?" "The prison slave said, walking towards the spirit.

Lian Wu clenched his sword, and Shi Zhu and Xuan Ling secretly gathered magical power in the palm of his hand.

Four undead warriors suddenly fell behind the prison slave. The five horses, startled by the sudden appearance of the four dark figures, staggered their steps left and right, belching their noses.

"Be careful, everyone." Lianwu shouted, standing in front of Rongyue.

"Prison slave, you never expect to be ready at any time." The remnant spirit sensed the movement and tucked Duoduo back into his sleeve.

"Remnant Soul, tell me, will Gu You wake up again? You must know how to wake him up, don't you?" The prison slave still took small steps towards the remnant.

A dead warrior said to the prison slave, "Miss Prison Slave, the bishop asked us to ask you to go back."

"Remnant soul, why didn't you tell me? Gu You isn't dead, I can still sense him."

Four undead warriors walked up behind the prison slave and pressed him down with their four hands. One of the dead warriors said, "Miss Prison Slave, please come back with us and don't put us in a difficult position."

Lianwu and the others stood still, not expecting the undead warriors to ignore them.

"Get out! Don't bother me!" The prison slave shouted at the undead warrior.

Miss Prison Slave, then it's not up to me. The Lord Bishop of God has said that to prevent you from revealing our secrets, either take you back. Or..." The warrior didn't go on, and the four crosses had already told him everything.

"Stop!" "Prison slave, don't perform in front of us. We've seen enough of your tricks. If you want to fight, fight. Why go to so much trouble?"

The cross slash was placed around the prisoner's neck, and the dead warrior's shrill voice had a blood-sucking stench: "Miss prisoner, I'll ask one last time. If you still don't follow us obediently, then we'll have to cut the burden of taking you back."

The prisoner placed his hand at his waist, realizing that he hadn't carried a sword for a long time.

"Miss Prison Slave, since you are not speaking, then even if you have decided to resist."

It was as if something invisible had fallen from the sky and landed on the prisoner. A heavy, dull thud slid down from the prisoner all the way to the ground, raising dust and spreading it out in all directions.

"Be careful, back off." The candle said, pulling the horse several meters in the opposite direction of the prison slave before stopping.

The prisoner stood still, not knowing what had happened. Beside her, at some point, there was a tall figure, yet as gentle as a ghost, as the wind blew. The four undead warriors remained in the position of holding their cross beards around the prisoner's neck, but they were about seven steps away from the prisoner.

The necromancers were somewhat at a loss. In an instant, they were flung away from the prisoner's side. What kind of power was this?

Those who had been watching from a distance were scattered in all directions.

In the haze of dust, another figure approached the prison slave. He could not be seen clearly, only a silhouette could be seen. A dead warrior raised his cross and slashed towards the figure, and the figure stretched out his hand, and a sword pierced through the warrior's chest in an instant.

That sword, Lian Wu recognized, was the prison slave's sword.

The other three undead warriors were stunned for two seconds and then fled in a hurry.

The dust in the air was gradually blown away by the wind and settled. Gradually, Lianwu saw clearly the appearance of the two prison guards. And the spirit kept frowning, but there was a hint of surprise that could not be concealed on his face.

On either side of the prison slave, the two men were almost exactly the same in height and build. When the ghostly shadow took off his hood, everyone saw his silvery hair fluttering gently. And the other man's hair was equally pure white.

 Two people, exactly the same.

The man holding the sword lost his balance and fell down. He knelt on the ground with his knees bent, his hands grasping the hilt of the sword, which was thrust into the bluestone floor, supporting his body.

And another figure with white hair walked up behind the kneeling man, facing him, and also threw himself down. The kneeling man spat out a mouthful of blood from his mouth.

Even more astonishingly, the man who dived behind did not land behind the kneeling man, but sank into his body! Completely sinking in, as if the two were one.

There was only one person left beside the prison slave. She crouched down, her hands trembling, reached out and stroked the familiar face.

"This... Is this a dream?" Her eyes suddenly filled with tears.

The remnant jumped off the horse and walked towards the prison slave. Lian Wu said to the spirit, "Spirit, do not go. Danger."

The spirit smiled and said, "For the first time I've seen someone with such powerful mental power, so powerful that the mental power can differentiate from the body without being restricted by it. Gu You, who used to just hit hard with his fists, has grown up."

Lianwu couldn't believe her ears, though the man had long white hair, she couldn't believe it was Gu You. He said, "Remnant Soul, what did you say? You say Gu You..."

"I said before that my hearing is very good." The remnant went over, crouched beside Gu You, and held Gu You on the shoulder.

Lian Wu jumped off the horse and, too excited, nearly fell down. He ran over and threw himself down beside Gu You. "Gu You, Gu you, is it really you? You really aren't dead, good, you aren't dead, aren't dead..."

But Gu You remained in one position, motionless.

Lian Wu pushed the prison slave away and shouted, "You are not allowed to touch him. Get out of the way!" He lifted Gu You's face and saw that there was still a drop of water hanging from the corner of Gu You's mouth. It turned out that what he had just spat was not blood, but this transparent liquid.

Lian Wu's trembling fingertips slowly reached under Gu You's nostril, and his fingers suddenly froze, and his expression froze in an instant. Gu You had no breath left.

"What's going on? Why? Why isn't Gu You breathing?" Lian Wu frantically reached his hand to Gu You's chest and then his wrist. No heartbeat, no pulse.

 Gu You, are you dead?

Lian Wu slowly turned his head towards the prison slave, his face full of gloom. His tone was much calmer, but with a strong murderous intent: "Tell me, what did you do to Gu You just now? Who allowed you to touch him? You witch, isn't it enough to kill Gu You once? Now it's a second time."

The prison slave shook his head aggrievedly. "I haven't done anything. Gu You hasn't breathed, had a heartbeat or a pulse these days." But I know he's not dead and I can still feel him."

"Don't talk to me about this. I'll kill you right now and avenge Gu You." Lianwu stood up and drew his short sword.

Shi Zhu, riding a horse, came running between Lian Wu and the prison slave, his eyes shining with red light. He said to Lian Wu, "Lian Wu, stop. Gu You is not dead. I can sense the mental power in him."

The remnant soul also grabbed Lianwu, "Shi Zhu is right. I can sense Gu You's presence too."

Lian Wu put the sword back to his waist, looked at Shi Zhu and then at the remnant soul, and patted his thigh somewhat awkwardly. "Why can't I feel it?" he said.

"Because it's a resonance among Earth monks." "Said the candle.

"Why don't I resonate with him? I almost fed him to Tenshu last time."

"Because you're not an Earth monk, an alien." The remnant soul smiles.

Lian Wu asked again, "Then why can a prison slave feel it?"

Shi Zhu jumped off his horse and lifted the prisoner up from the ground, saying, "This is another kind of resonance, a stronger resonance." Shi Zhu walked up to Lian Wu, patted him on the shoulder and whispered, "Did you not have such a resonance between Rong Yue?"
