Chapter 11 - Cuddle War

It was quiet that night. The kind of quiet that only settled over the estate when everyone had gone to bed and even the wind outside had grown still. I had just crawled into bed after a long bath, the room dimly lit by a flickering crystal lamp. My body was tired, but my mind restless. I closed my eyes, about to drift off—until I heard a soft knock at the door.

A hesitant, barely-there knock.

I sat up and cleared my throat. "Who is it?"

There was a long pause, and then I heard her voice.

"It's… me. Leviathan."

I got out of bed and opened the door. There she stood, holding a pillow in both arms like a shield. Her nightgown was a thin, translucent white silk that clung tightly to her curves, the fabric falling just above her thighs. Her violet eyes flicked down, then up again, cheeks burning a delicate pink.

"Um… I-I was wondering…" she fidgeted, shifting her weight from one foot to the other, "…I… couldn't sleep. I-I was wondering if… maybe… I could sleep beside you tonight?"

I blinked. "You… want to sleep in my bed?"

She nodded quickly. "J-Just for warmth! I promise! I won't do anything weird! I just… I just feel cold. That's all."

I hesitated for a moment, then stepped aside. "Okay… come in."

She let out a soft sigh of relief and padded into the room. She looked so small and innocent, yet impossibly curvy beneath that nightgown. My eyes wandered, but I caught myself and quickly looked away as she climbed under the blanket.

I joined her, lying stiffly on my back, staring at the ceiling. She lay still for a moment, silent, but then—without a word—she scooted closer. I felt her warmth almost immediately. Then, her arm draped over my chest. Her thigh pressed to mine. And then—

Smothered.

Her breasts, large and pillowy, pressed right into my face as she nestled close and rested her head against my shoulder. Her scent—ocean breeze and cherry blossoms—filled my nose. I could barely breathe, not just from her chest but from how tight she was holding me.

"I-I hope this isn't too close," she whispered, breath soft against my neck. "I just… I feel safest like this."

My heart pounded. Every part of me screamed to stay still, to not move, to not do anything that would betray how much my body was reacting. Her thighs shifted as she adjusted, and with every shift, something soft and round would press, bounce, or rub against me—her butt brushing my lap, her chest mashing into my arm, her fingers occasionally twitching against my stomach.

She sighed again and nuzzled her cheek against my chest, arms now fully wrapped around me like I was her body pillow. Her voice was quiet. "Thank you for letting me stay here. It's… a little embarrassing, but I… I really wanted to be close to you tonight."

I didn't say anything. I couldn't.

Not when I was trying desperately not to think about how every soft inch of her body was melting into mine. She was too cute. Too warm. Too affectionate. And every single move she made sent a jolt of warmth straight through me. It was impossible to sleep.

I was too tense, too flushed, too confused. But then she whispered again, softer this time. "I know I'm not as bold as the others… but I still want to be near you. Is that okay?"

I looked down at her, brushing a strand of blue hair from her cheek. "Yeah," I said, barely audible. "It's okay."

She smiled and closed her eyes.

"Goodnight… Master."

The night stretched on in slow silence, filled only with her soft breathing and the occasional twitch of her legs against mine. I never got to sleep. Not for a second. I was wide awake the entire night, clutching the blanket and trying not to move or think about the way her body never stopped touching me.

By the time morning light peeked through the window, I was still frozen, eyes bloodshot, but still somehow… content.

And that's when the door burst open.

"Good morni—"

Ziz's voice cut off instantly as she walked in with Bahamut, Chimera, and Behemoth behind her. All of them stopped. All of them stared.

I was still holding Leviathan. We were spooning—tightly. Her leg was thrown over mine. Her arm was wrapped under my shirt. Her face was buried in my neck, and my hand had somehow slipped under her waist while I slept.

Ziz's eye twitched.

"Well, well, well…" she said slowly, stepping in. "Looks like Levi's playing dirty now."

"I-It's not what it looks like!" I blurted, instantly sitting up—only to drag Leviathan halfway on top of me. She blinked awake slowly, confused and groggy, until she saw the others.

Her face went red. "I-I was just cold! T-That's all!"

Behemoth folded her arms. "You were using his chest like a pillow."

"More like a full-body mattress," Bahamut said with an amused smile.

"I slept on the floor last night," Ziz growled. "And she gets that?!"

"I didn't mean to!" Leviathan wailed, curling into a ball. "I-I just wanted to cuddle! Just once!"

Chimera tilted her head. "Sooo… can we all do cuddle nights now?"

"Absolutely not!" Ziz shouted.

"Oh, I'm doing it," Bahamut said with a smirk. "If cuddling gets me that close, I'm signing up for a whole week."

"You're all not doing anything," I groaned, covering my face.

But it was too late.

The battle lines had been drawn.

Ziz marched forward, eyes blazing. "If she gets a night, then we all get a night! Starting tonight!"

Leviathan grabbed my arm and held tight. "N-No! He's mine tonight!"

"No fighting in the bedroom!" I begged.

They didn't listen.

The next cuddle war had begun.
