The girl finally found her voice. "Lu Nian… you have a boyfriend? Then why did you invite me on a date?"
Feng's lips curled into a sharp smile as he tightened his grip around Lu Nian's waist. Lu Nian was still frozen in shock. He shoved at Feng's chest, trying to free himself.
"It's not what you think, Xinyue," he said quickly.
But Feng only pulled him closer, voice low and mocking. "Kitten, are you still mad at me? Don't you remember the night we spent in each other's embrace?"
"Shut up," Lu Nian snapped, his face pale with anger.
Xinyue rose from her seat, clutching her bag. "Enough." Her voice trembled as she turned away. Without looking back, she rushed out of the restaurant, her figure vanishing in an instant.
"Xinyue—" Lu Nian reached out, but she was already gone. A pang of guilt twisted in his chest, but it was too late.
Feng's smile vanished. His eyes darkened. "Let's go."
"No!" Lu Nian pushed at him again, struggling in his grasp. "Leave me."
