Seraphina's POV
My face was burning. Like, it was literally on fire. I couldn't stop staring at his lips—those same lips that had just kissed me like he was starving for it.
His dark hair was completely messed up from where I'd grabbed it, and his expensive shirt was wrinkled beyond repair.
He was breathing hard, staring at me with those intense dark eyes, and damn it, even knowing he was my enemy and probably planning to kill me, he looked incredible.
This was only my second kiss with him. But it woke up something in my body I didn't even know was there. I'd never felt want this strong, this crazy burning need that made me forget everything else.
The mate bond was making every nerve scream for more, and I absolutely hated it.
What made it worse was how stupidly attractive I found him right now—hair messy from my hands, eyes dark with want, that dangerous thing about him that should scare me, but instead made my stomach flip around like crazy.
