"Didn't you agree with the Third Hokage to help train the younger generation?"
Yūgao sat in the BBQ restaurant Q, watching Naruto eat leisurely, unable to resist frowning.
Although she was assigned to be his subordinate, she also had a supervisory role.
If Naruto couldn't fulfill the mission given by the Third Hokage properly, there would be no need for her to stay.
"Don't worry!" Naruto waved his hand and said, "Before you start a mission, you have to fill your stomach first!"
Yūgao looked at him, speechless.
The problem is, she had arrived at the BBQ restaurant right after ten o'clock, and now it was already after one in the afternoon.
This is entirely passive and sluggish.
"Okay, Sister Yūgao!" Naruto smiled and said, "Did you forget that I sent a Shadow Clone out earlier?"
Yūgao suddenly reacted, but then she was at a loss for words and said: "But didn't you agree to help Kurenai take care of her students? Doesn't that count?"
"Why doesn't it count?" Naruto said confidently. "The three students in Team 8 with Kurenai-sensei were all outstanding seeds selected by me. The Third Hokage only asked me to take care of two of them a day, and now I've taken three of them directly. It seems that the task quota has been exceeded."
Yūgao couldn't help but rub her forehead. The more she interacted with Naruto, the more she realized how shameless he truly was.
It turns out this is the Seventh Hokage!
"I see that Sister Yūgao didn't even take a few bites just now. Is the food here not to your liking?" Naruto asked with concern.
Now that Naruto had clearly explained the reason for the slowdown, though it was a bit far-fetched, it was still reasonable, and Yūgao was no longer tangled up in the situation.
Hearing Naruto's thoughtful question, her heart warmed, and she said softly: "I don't eat much, and meat food has a lot of calories..."
She stopped there, but Naruto understood her meaning. That means she's had enough, not that she's full.
Girls are always more concerned about their figure.
Naruto frowned and said with a hint of displeasure: "That's not okay. Even if you are a ninja, that small amount of food isn't enough to meet your daily needs. If you stay with me and end up skin and bones, I'll be the one at fault."
"You must eat more, either by yourself or I will feed you!"
Naruto picked up a few pieces of meat and placed them in front of Yūgao.
Yūgao hesitated immediately.
As a ninja, she had to choose between obedience and her love for beauty. But what Naruto was offering was too much for her to handle. After eating it, the calories would exceed the standard. Wouldn't she gain weight later?
It's really hard to choose between command and beauty!
"In that case, you can only let me help you!" Naruto picked up a piece of meat and held it to Yūgao's mouth, smiling: "Sister Yūgao, open your mouth, ah! -"
Yūgao was amused by his behavior and chuckled, rolling her eyes as she said, "I'll do it myself!"
"Stop talking nonsense, this is an order!" Naruto's eyes widened.
The meat is already in your mouth, why don't you eat it? You're not giving me face?
Helpless, Yūgao could only blush and quickly ate the piece of meat Naruto gave her.
Then she glanced around like a thief.
But when she saw it, she was stunned.
Not far from the two of them, a thin figure was walking towards them, having just witnessed the scene.
At this moment, the opponent's face was flushed, his eyes were even red, and he was breathing heavily, clenching his fists tightly as if he was trying his best to restrain his anger.
Naruto followed Yūgao's gaze, a hint of surprise in his eyes.
Well, this is purely an act.
With his current perception abilities, he had already noticed the person's arrival. He had deliberately made some ambiguous moves with Yūgao to stimulate the other person and hasten the deterioration of their relationship.
"Sorry, I didn't know he would come here at this time!" Naruto said, feigning innocence.
Yūgao regained her composure, her eyes showing some complexity.
"This has nothing to do with you!" Yūgao said calmly: "If you can't accept this, then if I'm still with him, the future will be like what you described before."
Yūgao has made up her mind not to marry Hayate, but she still wishes to maintain their relationship for now.
After all, Hayate has never done anything to warrant an apology from Yūgao. She can't simply break up with Naruto based on a few words she heard without cause; it would also be unfair to Hayate.
Thus, Yūgao decided to give him a chance to change at least.
Over time, as they interacted, Yūgao planned to subtly guide Gekkō Hayate. If he remained unchanged, she would have to concede defeat.
This situation presented itself as an opportunity to test Gekkō Hayate, or perhaps it was a trial for him.
"Yūgao, what a coincidence!"
Gekkō Hayate managed to contain her anger for a brief moment before forcing a smile and approaching to greet her.
Naruto felt vindicated, knowing full well that any man would find it difficult to remain calm under such circumstances.
Whether or not Gekkō Hayate's character was as flawed and sensitive as he had previously described, a violent response would be inevitable in this situation.
"Yes!" Yūgao replied softly, maintaining a neutral expression, "I'm on a mission."
On a mission? Gekkō Hayate was momentarily taken aback before his face flushed with anger once more.
Yūgao is an Anbu member, why wasn't she wearing a mask while on duty? And why did she ask a man to feed her?
The Third Hokage also realized that the task he had assigned to Yūgao was somewhat underhanded, so he chose not to inform Gekkō Hayate, her presumed boyfriend.
He believed that the couple, both being shinobi of Konoha with the Will of Fire, should be able to handle this themselves.
At this point, Gekkō Hayate remained unaware of Yūgao's temporary leave from Anbu.
When he heard Yūgao's explanation, he thought she was being dismissive and didn't bother to provide a logical reason.
"Uzuki Yūgao, what are you implying?" Gekkō Hayate's voice grew strained with anger.
Yūgao was caught off guard by Hayate's psychological shift and frowned.
Before she could explain, Naruto coughed gently and suggested, "Hayate-senpai, would you like to sit down and eat with us? Do you have anything to discuss?"
This was clearly a challenge, as he offered Yūgao another piece of meat while speaking.
Initially, Hayate could have claimed ignorance due to their private friendship, but now it felt like a declaration of territory.
Gekkō Hayate knew that as the Seventh Hokage, Naruto should have been the first to greet him.
However, due to his anger and the Third Hokage's insistence on secrecy regarding his identity, he could justify ignoring him.
Yet, Naruto's provocation was too much to bear.
"This doesn't concern you!" Gekkō Hayate rejected him coldly.
The shinobi code forbade him from taking any action against the Seventh Hokage. He couldn't even retort excessively, so he held back.
However, his demeanor upset Yūgao, who retorted, "What do you think you're doing? I said I'm on a mission!"
The mission is to make you leave!
Naruto silently added this to Yūgao's statement in his mind.
