After we finished lunch, I convinced Morris that Austin would be better off going home with my parents, Kayla and Albert. We still had work to complete, and Austin needed rest in a calm environment. Eventually, our parents understood we had responsibilities to handle and said their goodbyes.
Harris and Paula headed downstairs to continue working on the audit materials.
"Thank God they're gone," Darren exclaimed as soon as the elevator doors closed, collapsing dramatically into his chair.
