Monica's POV
I pushed open the door to Morris's office, and immediately our friends poured in like a tidal wave of excitement and anxiety.
"Oh, I need baby snuggles! Is the little angel sleeping?" Natalie's face fell into a pout as she spotted Austin nestled comfortably in Morris's arms.
"Monica, close that damn door before they find us," Jasper hissed, rushing past me and locking it with swift precision.
"What's gotten into you, Jasper? Who are we hiding from?" I asked, completely bewildered by his paranoid behavior.
Jasper's eyes were wide with genuine terror. "Who? Only your parents, my parents, Natalie's parents, Morris's adoptive parents, Darren's folks, Grady's mother, and let's not forget Albert, Kayla, and little Dorothy. The entire parental army has descended!"
"Morris's adoptive parents?" I questioned with raised eyebrows.
"Paula and Harris," Jasper clarified, which made me smile. They'd always been so good to Morris.
