I found it peculiar that Monica seemed bothered by my cologne. She'd previously mentioned how much she enjoyed its scent. I suspect her heightened sensitivity is due to everything she's enduring right now. Morris volunteered to purchase her favorite cake – he always enjoys doing these small gestures for Monica.
My morning was occupied at the country club with an important client. We'd arranged for a tennis match followed by lunch to discuss business matters. Unfortunately, my client encountered an unexpected emergency and departed earlier than planned. With my schedule suddenly freed up, I decided to treat myself to a massage at the club's spa facility.
