Monica's POV
I turned around and felt my heart skip a beat at the sight before me. Morris was walking toward us with my son in his arms, Darren following closely behind. Austin's face was lit up with pure joy as he waved enthusiastically at passersby, who couldn't help but smile at his infectious happiness.
"Mommy! I came to surprise you!" Austin called out, wiggling excitedly in Morris's strong arms as they reached my desk.
Tears pricked my eyes as I gathered my little boy into my embrace, peppering his chubby cheeks with kisses.
"I hope you don't mind that I collected Austin from daycare and had Kayla sent home," Morris said with a warm smile that made my heart flutter.
"Of course not, darling," I replied, leaning in as he placed a gentle kiss on my lips.
"Look what Uncle Darren gave me, Mommy!" Austin proudly displayed a package overflowing with colorful candies, chocolates, and lollipops.
