The lunch with the women had been beyond refreshing. Smart, gorgeous, and full of laughter – they'd made my afternoon. Watching them toy with those three guys had been particularly entertaining. But if I'm being honest, my attention kept drifting to one woman in particular – Monica. There was something about her that captivated me from the moment she walked into my bar.
My sister had already tried to temper my expectations. "She's completely in love with Lorenzo," Lily had warned me. But from what I could see, this Lorenzo character kept sabotaging whatever they had. His loss could definitely become my gain.
