Type blue= Thaumatologist
Type green= Reality bender
THIRD POV
Benjamin Carter sat in his office chair, his desk having multiple stacks of papers on it. The papers were arranged in a neat category file, with one stack being for business, one for information on his investments, one for the family, and the last one for his worthless son.
Benjamin looked at the papers on his desk, and couldn't wait for the day that he got to retire from all this crap. Keeping things in check, assuring the family kept up with what they had, stopping people from prying into their 'auction' and among other things. Benjamin was grateful to have found Max, and had hoped to mold the child into something. However, that incident of him wanting to be a 'hero' had caused some change in the plan.
Benjamin`s original goal was to slowly mold the boy, change his views and whatnot. Benjamin was impressed with the boy`s intelligence, charisma and drive for the future. However all those were nothing when he had used a device that told him that Max was a type blue, with a bit of type green.
That had been the reason for Benjamin`s action to adopt Max by any means necessary. A child Thaumatologist, who was also a possible reality bender. This was his chance to get further up in the family. They would mold Max into the Carter`s family personal servant. The boy would be capable of handling things that couldn't be handled normally. There wasn't many Thaumatologist around in the world, with the possible of finding one being less than 0.01% and even fewer type greens.
Most of the type blues were either killed, or had joined the Global Occult Coalition, or some other group. Less could be said about the type greens, they were either dead or had left. Where they went Benjamin didn't know or care. What mattered was that Max was a gold mine, but the boy had to ruin it.
Fighting a Thaumatologist was annoying, and fighting a type green was almost impossible once they got their bearings. It would have been okay if Max wanted to help people that was fine. Being a type green hero was problematic and needed to be dealt with now. Benjamin didn't want to waste resources fighting someone like that, not only that but it would look bad on him towards the family. The family already didn't like his side, with how his son acted. Lord knows that Benjmain wasn't much better growing up. He worked hard to get to where he was, to the position that he had. He didn't want that to end anytime soon.
Max didn't know he was a type green or a type blue so now was the chance to break his spirit and build him up. Benjamin had told the 'warden' to be as brutal to him as he could. Only giving Max food twice a day if that, leaving him a lone in a cell for hours at a time, and having him next to the feral 'toys'. It was all to break his spirit so that when he came out he would listen and obey.
There was a small knock on his office door.
"Come in" Benjamin said, and when he did the door opened with his personal butler walking in. Benjamin had been given the butler as a child by the family. The man was broken beyond anything, he only knew how to serve. The butler didn't even have a name, nor family, nor friends. He was simply Butler or in Benjamin younger days 'slave'
"Master, I have news" The butler said, and paused looking at Benjamin with a look that said he wanted permission to continue.
"Yes. Go on"
"It seems that there was a major incident at Playtime factory. We have lost all contact with them, and personal that were sent in haven't been heard from. There were only a few people that have escaped and stated, and I quote 'The fucking toys came live and killed everyone' end quote. What are your orders sir?"
Benjamin thought about it. This had mismanagement written all over it. Leith and his team were beyond useless. They couldn't do anything right. Benjamin sighed, took a moment to think and said.
"How bad is the damages? How much will it cost to 'fix' this? I don't want anyone getting wind about the factory."
"Sire, the damages are quite bad. It will cost about a billion dollars or more to get the supplies, materials and personal to not only get amnestics but also to have it injected into all the civilians. As for the news, we already have cover stories going and have personal blocking this news from reaching prying ears."
"Good."
"Sire, what about the child Max? Do you want us to send our personal to get him evacuated?"
Benjamin thought about it and realized that his might be an even better chance to get what he wanted. Max would survive that he was sure of, he also knew that Max would save as many people that he could. People that were weak and could be exploited.
Max would come out of it stronger, but would have easy ties that Benjamin could use to get the boy were he wanted him.
All Benjamin had to do, was stop people from entering the factory and wait for his 'grandson' to come out. Once Max was out of the factory with his family, Benjamin would make his move. A broken child was easier to handled than a child with a hero complex.
"No. Just ensure that all of this is fixed. Monitor the area around the factory, ensure no one goes in. We will wait for Max to come out, once he does let me know."
"Very good sir"
Scene changes still THIRD POV
Officer Whitaker looked up from the papers he had in his hand and turned to look at his partner that was walking next to him. He sighed and said
"So, what? That whole 'missing' person crap is back up again. Why am I even looking over this report, and why on God`s green earth is the FBI here?" When he finished reading the paper, he looked at his partner, wondering why the fuck the FBI was here waiting for them in the 'interrogation' room. His friend looked at him and said
"They want us to look through it, so that we can report it to them. See if we missed anything about this case. Look man I don't know alright. I don't get paid enough for this crap. Let`s just get this done and over with."
He couldn't understand it. The Rangers, and his fellow officers had explored that cave from top to bottom. It had all started when the exploration team had come back, explaining what happened. Naturally some people were suspicious about it. I mean a exploration team claiming to have not only found an entire civilization, but also found a single kid there. That was hard to believe, harder to believe was the fact that the child had somehow managed to knock them all out by himself.
But a missing person report was filed and a search was started. When the officers had ask about the description of the child, it was revealed that he had the same appearance as Max Carter. That was impossible seeing as how Max had been reported to have been at Playtime during this whole search thing that had been going on. The story didn't add up. Not only that but the location that the exploration found the 'ancient civilization' was nowhere to be found.
The only thing that was there was a wall. Needless to say, the search would and by all account should have stopped there, but the exploration team had pictures. Pictures of the child, it was hard to make out his actual face, but it was real…or at least somewhat real.
The team also had given 'samples or whatever science-mumbo-jumbo that they got. This led to increased exploration of the cave, where nothing was found for months.
Now, all of a sudden, the FBI of all people want to get involve. This was beyond stupid, and he wanted to know what an organization like the FBI was doing here wasting his tax payer money. Shouldn't they be out actually doing something, not here looking at a 'missing' persons report and an 'ancient cave'. It was all stupid.
Whitaker and his partner finally made it to the hallway where the 'interrogation' room was. It was the only office that would allow the FBI agents to talk to each member of the exploration team. His only guess was to see if anyone had faked this whole thing. That would take the cake on the list of bullshit Whitaker had dealt with as a cop. His partner and him were assigned to watch the two agents to make sure that they didn't do anything…troubling.
Mostly it was their commissioner being pissy about two federal agents in his 'Territory'. The commissioner was a good man, but he was…hit in the head with some of his theories. But, he kept the town safe and was a good boss. Everyone had a quirk to them, so no one really minded it or said anything about it.
Outside the 'interrogation' room was the exploration team who were waiting to be called in. When the two passed them, one of the members got up and said.
"How long is this going to take. We told you guys everything."
Whitaker looked at the man, and replied
"Look. To be honest with you I don't know. You will have to wait here for us to call you back. And sorry about the inconvenience I know you guys told us everything you know already believe me. But, top branch, as in the FBI apparently want this. And, I can`t say 'no' to them. Again I apologize, but please wait here. We will call you each one by one as soon as we can."
The man sighed, sat down on the chair and said
"Alright, just..I don't know this whole thing is weird to me"
"Your are telling me." Responded Whitaker partner before they opened the door into the 'interrogation' room
[NOTE: This story also takes place in the SCP universe and always had. HAHAHA. no but really I made this story with the SCP universe in mind, meaning that Max is in a bad place. Some people will like, some people will not like. But, I have a lot of future plans. Anyway the magic system is the actual magic system of the SCP universe. I had to watch 3 videos 2 times to understand it. So yeah. Comment what you think. Also comment what SCP Max will met first]
