MC POV
Doey hit like a fucking train, that shit fucking hurt. And, I am pretty sure I dead…again. Sigh, at least now I know I can't die in this world. Great, I am an immortal…wait. Does that mean I won't grow up? Fuck, is this because of this body or those damn worms. Fucking shit what if I look like a 10-year-old forever. I want to be an adult damn. Sigh, I should have noticed that I haven`t changed much in the years that I have been here. Hell, most of the kids were bigger than me.
I didn't want to be a fucking shota. I looked at the group following me, I knew that they were scared of me. Who wouldn't after that whole thing. I tried to act like this was all normal and couldn't wait for the questions that would follow. When we finally got back, I got everyone in the conference room. It took some time, and people started to talk about what happened. By the time everyone was in our conference room, there was a different look people were giving me.
"Okay. So some of you-"
"Are you an undead?"
"…Is he going to eat brains. I read in a book that is what zombies do." Whispered someone in the back
"OKAY! Look, One..I" I stopped as I thought about it. Was I an undead? I mean I died..more than once and came back to life. Wasn't that the definition of an undead? Not only that but I died after Doey kicked my ass and came back.. It was a nanosecond pause, but I decided to ignore and completely skip the question.
"I am not going to eat your brains or drink your blood. Now look, I can heal from most…fine all injuries. I didn't want to tell you guys because I didn't want you to look at me different? Also…I don't want you to ask me a bunch of those silly questions. So, moving on to a serious matter. Getting everything back to normal."
That got the group to kind of calm down, but I knew that the DnD group was going to ask me All the questions. I could already see it in their eyes. I shuddered at the thought of how many questions I was going to be asked. But, we had more important things to focus on.
"I discussed this with Poppy, but now that we are all together, I can make some things clear. One, I have a plan to defeat both Sawyer..aka 'the doctor' and Prototype. Now this will be a four-section plan so listen carefully. Andrew, Harrison and Hunter will be with me in taking out Sawyer. I will go in and attack. When he is focused on me, I want your team to go in. Using the omni-hand to shut him down. While that is happening Taylor I want you in charge of the defense. Doey, you and whoever else wants to go has an important job. All I need your team to do is distract Prototype. Don't fight him if you can't just…keep him busy. Alright?"
"Okay"
"Good, now look everyone I DON'T want anyone to fight if they don't want to. If you don't want to be part of the conflict stay here. This is important job for all of us. Once they are all defeated, we collect everyone else and get you all back to normal." I let some of the excitement calm down. Being here for weeks was starting to get to them, mostly the younger ones. I continued
"Again, I talked to Poppy about this as well. I will be taking a vote on this topic. My adopted grandfather has built an orphanage not far from here. IT IS NOT, this place and Will never be. He wanted to adopt me, but I told him I wouldn't leave you guys. So, we made a deal. He would adopt me, but in return he would build me a better place for all of us. Poppy wants to destroy this place, and I kind of agree with her. This place has too many bad memories for me. I want to start over, start fresh. Show of hands who wants to destroy this place?"
There were a lot of hands that were raised, mostly…actually all the toys did. Some of the adults too. However, there were a few adults that didn't raise hands. Instead they asked a question.
"What about our jobs? If we destroy this place, what happens to us?"
"I can just hire you. Look, all the profits made from my ideas I get 50% of that. And, I own the rights to them. Not only that but technically speaking I own Playtime company now. I own most of the shares of this company and after this whole thing I doubt anyone will want it. So, congratulations you are looking at your new boss."
"Don't get a big head!"
"Someone get him before he get an even bigger ego."
There were a few chuckles and laughs.
"I wont I promise. Now the final and most serious thing. I explained this before, but not completely to you all. Magic..is. It`s not a fantasy thing. I can't make something out of nothing. To create the body I need biomass so-"
"Wait…like bodies? Oh my god are you going to use the dead to make those bodies?"
"No, but I can. Look I just need biomass. It can be literally anything, meat, insects. I just need the biomass. The dead are dead. If..and I do mean IF! You want that let me know privately. Now, the next thing when I make the body I will be moving your souls into that body. During that time NO ONE is allowed to disturb the process. Now any question?"
Doey looked a little nervous, and raised his hands.
"Yes Doey?"
"The soul thing, that wont affect me right?"
"You will need to do a few steps more but, All of you will be fine."
"If…if..I mean, I don't want to be made with insects. Will that cause anything?"
"No, Your soul and my magic will make you normal. I could use all the bugs in the world and you would be human. Just…maybe a little tanner or having stronger skin. Other than that perfectly human."
There were a few more questions, but eventually it was time to end this.
"Alright, everyone knows and understands the plan correct? Good. We will launch this tomorrow. DON'T TELL OLLIE. I know he is someone you think of as friend, but remember he is the prototype. Now everyone get some rest. If you want to be on any of the teams let the team captain know now."
With that I got my stuff together. Talked to a few people, had to tell the DnD group that I wasn't an evil undead. And that I wasn't going to eat brains. Riley and Samatha had come up to me in private and said that they didn't want to have bodies made of people. Others had the same request, only a few people actual didn't mind what the bodies were made of. We got together for dinner, and then went to bed. It had been a long day, and I wanted to get some sleep in.
[Note: Yes, that Riley{From chapter 4) and Sam{she became the Pikachu) are friends.]
Otherworld
'sleep.rest' When the words were said the undead`s soul had finally left it`s body. After some time of helping these undead souls, I was almost done with it. There were only a few undead left, mostly the ones that hid in the sewer system or the ones that were so still that they could be statues. It had been a long time of working, but I was so close to being done.
Once the undead were done, I would work on fighting the monsters. I didn't really know, how I was going to do that. Killing them did nothing as they would just come back. I couldn't free their souls, because…I didn't know how.
The soul of a human was easy to set free, when it wanted to be. It was a little hard to free it, if it didn't but it was still in the realm of possibilities. You just needed to calm it, talk to it, and get it to realize that being here isn't where it is meant to be.
Getting the actual soul of a demonic monster soul to be free was….impossible for me right now. They didn't want to be free, didn't want to go to it`s afterlife, and sure as hell wasn't going to calm down.
A demonic soul was always either anger, hungry, or craved some form of destruction. That destruction could be both physical or mental or whatever. The need to destroy was ingrained into them. How, do you calm something like that down and get it to listen to you?
The only thing I could think of was sealing them, which was going to take time…and more studying. Whatever, I guess I will be learning about sealing demons and stuff now.
I was on my way back to the library to talk to my teacher, when I decide to check to see if there was anything happening around town. The sun was still up, and I hadn't seen any humans in a while. But something told me that I should check.
I had checked every time I could since that incident with the scientist. No one showed up since then and probably wouldn't this time. However, I was a person that likes to be safe rather than sorry.
I didn't want to be lazy, and some fools get eaten by those demons. I knew what it felt like to get eaten by them, and it wasn't fun. Not only that, but I had cleared most of the undead. I didn't need more work. So, I walked through the town getting closer to the cave entrance that I had seen the first time.
Usually when I go there, nothing is out of the ordinary, the entrance hasn't been opened, and I just leave. It is a quick check and gone.
This time was different. As I looked at the entrance, I saw that there were people. They looked like SWAT teams, or some high-level military personnel. The military personnel entered, looked around and set up security. When they were done three white coat scientists came. They had brought in equipment that I had never seen before. Who were these people? Why were they here? It didn't matter who they were I had to get them to leave.
