Leon had stolen many things before so he was no stranger to robberies. Though, he had a suspicion that Eli cooper was planning on something much more dangerous then any typical robbery.
"What are we taking?"
Eli spoke with a smile on his handsome face. "We, my friend are stealing from a noble! Specifically some items."
The first thing Leon wanted to do was back out... he had stolen many things, but the things he stole came from criminals, officers and the poor. He was a little afraid of stealing from a noble.
"Don't worry, i'll pay for your carriage ride to Empress Borough."
This made Leon even more hesitant! Empress borough had the best security in all of backlund! Not only that but it's also strictly monitored.
This guy just wants us to get caught doesn't he? But maybe this could help me out with digestion!
Just a few days ago Leon learned of the acting method from Charlotte. By acting according to the sequences name a beyonder is able to digest their potion much faster. The only problem is that Leon had no clue as to how a Marauder should act.
He learned many things with Charlotte, for example most sequence 9 ingredients coat about 150 pounds or a bit more... yet he was able to get his ingredients for dirt cheap.
Eli didn't seem to have the slightest bit of hesitation or fear In his eyes. Instead he happily leaned back while holding the love puppet in his right hand.
Finally after a moment of debating Leon finally spoke out.
"What is the reward? I will help you if it's worth it."
Eli nodded and leaned forward slightly while rubbing his hands together.
"We are stealing from a noble named Eric Lee. His father, Warren Lee owns multiple factories in east borough. I've hired a few people to stalk Eric and his father and figured out that the two don't have any beyonder bodyguards which makes this significantly easier for two beyonders like us. A sequence 9 might barely be above human but we are still beyonders, we have powers they don't. Im willing to do this tommorow, what about you?"
My schedule isn't too busy, so I guess i can do it.
Over the past two weeks since his transmigration Leon was pretty slow. He was scared of doing anything too crazy or extreme and stuck to jobs he's done before and worked with people he's worked before. He had no reason to trust really trust Eli, but for some reason he felt that he could. Maybe it was this man's Eloquence and warm atmosphere that made him so trustable.

East borough, Dharavi Street.
Samuel Ward walked into a gloomy three story building with his two MI9 companions, Michael and Harrison. When he looked up he saw corpses hanging from the sealing with a black rope around their neck. This place was used by vagrants until the incident today. When the residents woke up they found some of their friends hanging from the ceiling! There were about 12 corpses hanging there, some were criminals while others were innocent people.
Could this be because of the brewing gang war? Or is this just a unofficial beyonder?
The brewing gangwar in east borough was now known to the churches as well. But MI9 was the one to deal with this problem, it didn't just involve random gangsters, but beyonders too. And this right here clearly wasn't done by just some random person.
Thud!
Samuel quickly glanced towards the location of the sound and saw a door slowly creak open. A pale white hand grasped the frame and a face slowly peeked out. It was a pale white face with empty sockets and a empty, hanging mouth. This face stared at Samuel and his friends. Suddenly it extended it's hand towards Harrison causing him to burst out and scream.
"AHHHHH"
Harrison was clearly panicked and afraid. Samuel acted quickly and pulled out a lighter from his pocket before throwing it at the monster which he suspected to be a beyonder who lost control.
He used Bribe-Weaken!
This caused the beyonder who lost control to become much weaker and slower. It's defense was lowered and it couldn't affect Samuel as much as it previously could. This was the power of a briber, by giving or throwing an object towards a target he could achieve different effects.
Illusory lighting suddenly struck the monster causing it to come out and stop hiding. This was one of Michael's abilities as a sequence 7 Interrogator, Psychic Lashing.
When it came into full view the three MI9 agents shook in fear. It was a monster standing at 4 meters tall with a skinny pale body. Samuel pushed Harrison back and stepped forward with Michael. They both took out their revolvers and initiated the fight with the berserk beyonder.
Bang bang!
Flashes of lighting appeared in Michael's eyes when he used Psychic Piercing to invade the monsters mind. He attempted to use Brand of Restraint but felt his mind go into a frenzy, he was barely able to keep his cool and thought he would lose control.
Samuel's mental resistance had become much stronger when he advanced to sequence 8. But the problem is that the weakest one Harrison was only a sequence 9 lawyer. At sequence 9 a person from the lawyer pathway didn't get any special enhancements other than their Eloquence and law proficiency.
Harrison was on the brink of losing control.
The monster cast frenzy once more trying to make the three beyonder lose control. Samuel held strong and shot the chandelier on the ceiling causing it to shatter infront of the monster.
"Hlrkkkk"
Samuel heard a garbled voice in his brain, he couldn't understand what it was saying. All he knew is that it was the monster trying to communicate with him through his mind.
Michael who gained control shot thrice at the monster hitting it's leg. It didn't move much before hand since it was clearly confident that it would win.
Bang bang bang!
"Psychiatrist!"
Samuel heard Michael's remark and quickly shot at the monster.
Sequence 7 of the spectator pathway?
Samuel had a basic understanding of the 22 pathways, he knew the spectator pathway specialised in the mind field. He shot once more towards the monster hitting it's chest which caused blue blood to suddenly burst out like a geyser. Samuel leaped to the left while Michael took the right.
Suddenly it let out a loud shriek trying to cause chaos once more in the whole place. Samuel's ears began bleeding but he kept shooting with determination.
BANG BANG!
One bullet struck its face and the other hit the shoulder. When Michael saw that the berserk beyonder showed it's attention towards Samuel, Michael used Brand of Restraint to suppress the monster. It's body shuddered but it stayed still.
Samuel quickly took out a gold pound and flicked it towards the monster and used Bribe-Arrogance!
This lowered it's already low intelligence but also caused it to make bad decisions.
Harrison in the background was clinging onto the staircase, his eyes were blood red and his body hair began growing rapidly.
The monster got on all fours and rushed towards Samuel.
BANG BANG!
Samuel unloaded the whole cylinder on its face causing it to finally drop to the ground. it's body shook a few more times before stopping forever.
Phew...
But he couldn't relax yet, he quickly turned his attention towards Harrison who was behind them. When he saw Harrison, he realized this wasn't his friend anymore. Harrison had turned into a large hairy blob with its intestines reaching towards the ceiling.
Samuel and Michael shared a look before turning back towards their former companion. The look on their face's had turned much more stern as they faced off with a former friend.
