Natsuki finally understood—she really understood now!
Why everything had gone wrong today.
It was because this chaotic individual had been lying in wait for her!
At first, when she saw Remilia and Flandre, she just thought: "Ah, sisters quarreling."
But then Flandre shattered her Laeding, and she was shocked—"Okay, unusual vampire, I get it."
But the moment that vampire unleashed an endless barrage of magical projectiles, she absolutely lost it.
Technically speaking, the projectiles weren't that dangerous. Their energy had clearly been divided into countless fragments, reducing the individual impact.
That was the nature of Flandre's current barrage—but the scale was the real problem! Even a weak hit on a building could cause mass casualties.
And considering how many tall buildings were in the area—one misfire and people were dead.
Natsuki's face darkened. Ripples spread through the air around her.
Chains erupted from those ripples, weaving together into a massive net, attempting to contain all the projectiles in one go.
Boom boom boom boom boom—
A barrage of explosions rang in her ears. But just as Natsuki was about to breathe a sigh of relief—
Flandre smiled.
Under Natsuki's sharp gaze, she clenched her fist, and—
Crack!
Laeding shattered under an unknown force.
Natsuki's expression changed drastically. Grabbing Remilia, she instantly teleported away.
Behind her, a nearby power pole exploded into fragments.
She inhaled sharply. Had she not moved fast enough, that would've been her.
"What kind of power is that? Is it some sort of Beast Vassal ability?" Natsuki narrowed her eyes and glanced at the still-bound Remilia.
But all she got back was a blank look.
"Beast Vassal? What's that?"
Natsuki rubbed her forehead. Was this vampire making a fool of her?
Remilia didn't argue further. She just looked at her sister in sorrow.
"That's a power Flandre can't control. Overwhelming strength leads to backlash. Ever since she awakened it, she's been pressured by a desire to destroy. Her mind hasn't matured since then. That's why… she's like this. I don't think she can be saved anymore."
Though she wanted to believe otherwise, seeing Flandre like this made her lose hope.
Just now, Flandre had included her—her own sister—in the blast.
Even when out of control before, she'd never deliberately attacked her...
Let alone now, where it almost seemed like she wanted to kill her.
And as for this woman who had her bound—Remilia didn't think she could restrain Flandre either.
Listening to her, Natsuki started thinking maybe she should call in the Guardians.
This kind of problem child belonged in a prison barrier.
After all, she couldn't fix psychological issues.
"Hehehe... Sister, come play with me? Play with that other sister and Flandre? That sister's so strong… Flandre couldn't catch her even with her eye. I really wanna... break you, Sister."
Dangerous words spilled from Flandre's lips, her eyes brimming with nothing but destruction.
Remilia turned her head away. She sighed—again.
Natsuki clicked her tongue. Just as she was about to act—
"Minamiya Natsuki, mind if I take over from here? This is my child, after all. I should be the one to discipline her."
A sudden voice caught Natsuki off guard. Even Flandre looked over in delight.
With Remilia looking totally dumbfounded, Ren gently patted her on the head.
By the way, Lucemon and Ophis weren't at his side right now.
"Sorry for the trouble… Oh, and I've already healed the security team down there, so no worries."
"Who's your child?! You're awfully quick to claim ownership!"
"You really haven't noticed? The contract inside you?"
"???" Remilia focused—and sure enough, she felt a new contract inside her.
A master-servant contract...?!
A giant question mark appeared over her head.
Did she... become a servant?! When did that happen?
"Uwah—It's that super-tough guy! You came to play with Flandre?!"
"Of course I'll play with you anytime. But, Flandre—you attacked your sister and wrecked the district. You need to learn to apologize."
"Flandre didn't do anything wrong! It's Sister's fault for trying to lock me up! That sister over there too! You're all bad! If you want to lock Flandre away—then I'll just destroy everything!"
With a mad scream, Flandre's eye locked onto Ren.
Natsuki's face paled. She tried to pull Ren away—
While her eye couldn't be dodged normally, Flandre's lack of combat experience made her pre-attack movements obvious to anyone with good intuition. Natsuki could tell exactly what she was trying to do.
In someone like Ren, Remilia, or Natsuki herself, that ability could've been far more deadly.
But then, in the next moment—Flandre's face filled with terror.
An overwhelming radiance burst from Ren's body—light energy strong enough to completely incinerate her.
Even Remilia's expression twisted in horror.
"Such terrifying light… Stronger than that angel from that night…"
She had seen an angel before—on the night her parents were slain, when the church used a forbidden ritual to summon one. It was that angel that brought ruin to her family.
And it was that night she and Flandre awakened.
But Ren's light—was stronger than that angel.
Without hesitation, fully aware Flandre's body could regenerate, Ren smacked her down with one glowing palm.
A massive hand of light descended from the sky, bright enough to illuminate the heavens, slamming toward Flandre.
Frozen in place, she reached for something—anything—but her eye had failed her.
Under Natsuki and Remilia's stunned gazes, Flandre was completely swallowed up.
As the light faded, all that remained was a battered, dull-eyed Flandre.
The destructive madness was gone.
What was left—was confusion.
Seeing her sister again, Flandre instinctively called out:
"…Big Sister…"
