Chapter 9 - A New Era of Beginnings

In Greater Ottawa, the Chief of Igneous Dominion, Inferna Magmon, had just arrived. However, nobody predicted the Ghost of Ottawa would have cleaned up Libra-Ursa so quickly. Just before Archie and the Key Council could welcome the Chief and her delegation, the Ghost of Ottawa marched the freed peoples of Libra-Ursa up the middle, right in between both the Key Council of Greater Ottawa and the Chief of the Igneous Dominion with her delegation.

Inferna watched as the Ghost lived up not only to his reputation but to the myths circulating the lands about him as well. His weapons were locked in place in his weapon carrier, and his hands were covered in dried blood, but each step commanded the attention of everyone there. With a fist raised, he defiantly declared to the world his victory over Libra-Ursa. Inferna caught a quick glimpse of his gaze before he walked past her. His gaze was sharp with an intensity unmatched by even the Demon of the Southerlands. Many Greater Ottawa citizens cheered, some assisted in getting the freed people into the hands of Brittany and her medical staff, while others saluted the Ghost. However, one key moment caught the attention of the Dominion's delegation and their Chief. The Ghost stopped some medics from moving the body of the elven woman's daughter. Instead, he presented the woman with the reclaimed necklace belonging to her daughter, then ordered the Greater Ottawan Army, who had been in ceremonial position, to form a line leading to the morgue. The Ghost then cleaned his hands and knelt, picking up the elven girl's body. Once he reached the column's start, the command, "Present Arms!", was shouted out, allowing the Ghost to march past the saluting Greater Ottawa Army, all to lay a soul to rest.

Citizens watching placed their right hands over their hearts as the Ghost passed them. As he arrived at the doors of the morgue, the Ghost carefully handed the body to the staff. His eyes burned, fighting back the urge to cry. Once the doors had fully shut, the Ghost marched back through the column and joined Archie in the delegation's welcoming. "Apologies for the delay, but this is the Ghost of Ottawa, our hero, and my grandson. Now! Allow us to escort you to your rooms." As the Key Council and Igneous Delegation walked towards Fox River Grand Hotel, Inferna never took her eyes off of the Greater Ottawan's hero. She could tell the young girl's corpse was a weight upon an already broken soul. However, there was no time as the hour was now well-late into the evening. Inferna tossed and turned, trying to get sleep, but found no luck. She sat up and informed her guard she'd be taking a walk. Together, the two walked down the illuminated Greater Ottawan streets, eventually coming to Allen Park, which had been converted into a training center. They were going to pass it by when Inferna caught a glimpse of the Ghost, sparring in the dead of night...
