Connor Grant's gaze drifted to the villa entrance less than a hundred meters away. He found himself uncontrollably taking a few steps forward, as if his sight was glued, unable to move for a long time.
A middle-aged woman was holding a boy toddler, a bit over a year old, who looked exactly like him. The pudgy, fair-skinned child was facing Connor Grant, staring intently with his round, bright eyes, watching him for quite a while before suddenly breaking into a huge, cute smile.
If this little baby had merely smiled at Connor Grant, it wouldn't have made him freeze in place, mouth agape.
"Pa... Papa..."
Connor Grant gazed at the miniature replica of himself, the sweet adorable smile on the chubby little face drawing him in. The sudden strange call jolted him back to his senses.
He looked on, in utter shock, as the little one struggled in the middle-aged woman's arms, persistently chanting "Papa" while reaching his little chubby hands towards him, making his heart melt completely.
