Serena Sullivan asked, her heart aching, hatred turning into a coldness gathered in her eyes, all directed at Ethan Grant. Her hands placed on the quilt slowly clenched, and then clenched tighter.
In these four years, she has hated him deeply, and even now, she wants an explanation from him.

The room door opened and then closed, leaving the room peaceful and quiet, bringing tears to Serena's eyes as she smiled slightly, pressing her lips together.

Aunt Ann came over, watching Ethan Grant open the master bedroom door. She glanced into the room, which was pitch dark because the curtains were closed and the lights were off.
