Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: Have You Ever Seen Such a Beautiful Fox Spirit?

The Grant Group doesn't have towering skyscrapers; it resembles a garden-style hotel estate.

"Ethan Grant built this just last year."

Anna Morgan pushed Serena Sullivan inside while looking around at the surroundings—birds chirping among flowers, pavilions and towers. The tallest building in the estate was only three stories high, and every path was flat without a single step, with cars for transportation coming and going.

"If it weren't for knowing Ethan is actually scum, looking at the Grant Group and the 'Willow Yarrow' where you're living now, one would think he's deeply in love with you."

'Willow Yarrow' is the apartment where Serena Sullivan is currently residing.

To be precise, it's not called an apartment but a penthouse villa. Each floor has only one resident, with over 500 square meters spread across the level, yet Ethan Grant extravagantly occupies two floors—one for himself, and the lower level for the servants.

The spacious house is comfortable and convenient for Serena Sullivan.

"Just a coincidence, I guess." Serena didn't think Ethan built the garden-style Grant Group for her.

Anna Morgan nodded in agreement.

The two chatted as they reached the interview site for the Grant Group. The corridor was full of people; this time they were hiring three designers and one chief designer. Four positions attracted over a hundred competitors.

It was evident how well Ethan Grant had developed the Grant Group over the past four years.

"Is that person also here for the interview?"

Anna Morgan pushed Serena forward, immediately catching the attention of other interviewees.

Both were renowned beauties in Solaria. Although Serena Sullivan sitting in the wheelchair didn't seem complete, her face was bright and dazzling, especially when she smiled slightly with her lips closed. Her clear eyes shimmered seductively, making people's hearts itch. Upon closer inspection, her eyes held extreme coldness and aloofness.

Behind her, Anna wore sunglasses, covering half of her face. A simple white T-shirt exposed her slim, petite waist, and denim shorts with plain flat shoes made her look youthful and vibrant.

Zoe Quinn, being flattered by others, heard the commotion and followed their gazes, seeing Serena Sullivan's strikingly beautiful face. Her smile froze instantly, her eyes showing a flash of hatred and chill, as her hands clenched involuntarily.

Why is Serena Sullivan here?

"Sister!"

Zoe Quinn walked over elegantly in high heels, a pleasing smile on her delicate face.

"Are you here to see Brother Ethan?"

Brother Ethan?

This cheesy address made Anna burst into laughter. She had disliked Zoe Quinn since she first saw her, yet Serena had truly treated Zoe as her younger sister back then.

Serena glanced at Zoe and did not respond.

"Sister."

Zoe, noticing Serena's indifference, looked aggrieved as her eyes reddened and tears fell. She angrily questioned, "Wasn't it enough to steal Brother Ethan at the wedding? Are you here to steal the designer position too?"

Before Serena arrived, Zoe Quinn had been surrounded by other interviewees who were flattering her.

A month ago, Ethan Grant had made a high-profile marriage proposal, making it hard for Solaria to not know Zoe Quinn was his beloved. Just a few days ago, the bride at the wedding inexplicably changed, and although the media reported extensively, Zoe mentioned Serena in a veiled manner during a press interview.

Thus, the entire Solaria circulated rumors that Serena used manipulative tactics to force Ethan Grant to marry her.

Now, with Zoe calling her "Sister" and mentioning the "wedding," people immediately realized the beautiful woman in the wheelchair was Serena Sullivan.

"Miss Quinn, a vixen is a vixen, she can't beat you."

Zoe hung her head, crying, which incited anger towards Serena from others. Some girls, eager to please Zoe Quinn, shouted even more fiercely.
