...I see black.
voices. I hear them, but they are distant and muffled.
getting louder.
louder.
until they're all around me.
my eyes flicker open.
I'm staring at the sky and it's staring back, clear and blue, the sun warm against my face as i lie on my back on something moving.
before I can make sense of what, something pops up within my view. a person's head, cut off at the shoulders from my perspective. it's a lady, she hovers over me, locks of dim gold bouncing across her forehead as she jogs.
her eyes meet mine for a moment before she shouts, "he's awake!"
"alright that's good," another voice. this one a male's, coming from below. "we need to hurry up and get him to emergency."
I see the lady nod. she turns back to me, a smile spreading across her lips.
"Don't worry, dear. everything..."
Her voice begins to drown out.
I blink.
my eyes are getting heavy again.
"...will be..."
heavier.
"al..."
she sounds distant now, echoing away with the remains of my consciousness.
I try to stay awake.
try to fight it.
but it's a lost cause. that darkness, sitting at the edge of my vision starting to close in.
"...right"
I hear her complete the sentence, with her smile being the last thing I see before it goes black again.

My eyes open.
My vision is blurry. I can't see clearly
It begins to readjust.
I sit up, looking at the bag of saline hanging above me.
Food, water, and a flower vase on a table beside me.
My arms wrapped up in bandages same as my head.
The door opens and a lady walks in.
"you're awake"
Her voice is soft and something about it is comforting.
"hmm?".
"what is she talking about?".
My vision goes white again...
I regain consciousness and She's staring at me like she's seen a ghost.
I'm thrown into confusion.
"are you alright?".she asks.
"of course"
I respond.
My head hurts hard and I grab it tight.
she moves to my side.
"easy now, just lay down, I'll be back with your medications". she says and leaves the room.

Few minutes later she arrives with a syringe.
And makes for the bag of saline.
As she injects it, the immediate effect which runs through my veins send me to sleep.
I open my eyes.
Finding myself in a bookstore.
There's a old man standing at the counter looking at me.
I move towards him.
"Morning sir".
"Kaiden, I've been waiting for you"
"how does he know my name". I say to myself.
"I summoned you".
"what the hell, he can read minds".
"sit down". he says.
As I slowly sit down he begins to talk.
"Some years back there were rumors of people that could predict the future...".
"so what does this have to do with me"
"A few of them that were left passed it down and luckily you were chosen to possess such ability".
"and how am I supposed to use this". I ask.
"exactly why you're here now here's the address to this place, when you wake up come down here , dismissed".
I feel a force dragging me back as my eyes pop open.
"what... just happened".
I say to myself.
