Chapter 1 - . prologue

1. It's hot when the colors start to fade back in.

I wince.

My head feels like a mini drum solo is in progress.

the world around me is spinning, not to talk of the heat levels in here

Jesus, why is it so god-damn hot?

As my senses clear, my vision readjust.

I stare into the face of something or someone...

Oh shit! it's Alex and he's starting back at me but he's eyes won't blink.

I make to reach out to him, but the second I do, white hot pain explodes throughout every part of my system like several kilowatts of electricity jolting throughout my veins. I just barely manage to bite down the scream from leaving my lungs

After few seconds, the pain subsides and I catch my breath. I return my focus on Alex, why isn't he moving?

"Alex!", I call. Even though my lungs feel parched but I persist.

"Alex!"

He doesn't respond.

fear grips me.

I wriggle, struggling to get on my feet. My entire system screams in agonizing protest as I do, but after what I would describe as the most painful seconds of my life, my legs finally carry my weight.

I sniff, wiping off some of the sweat stinging my eyeballs and stagger all the way to Alex, forcing myself into a crouch beside him.

I extend my fingers to the left side of his neck to check for his pulse but come upon nothing .

My heart skips and begins throbbing .

Just then I sense something.

I slowly get up and turnaround to see the cryptic figure.

A masked guy six feet tall, standing erect looking at me and he seems unharmed, in his palm a steel pipe

which somehow seems to be stained with blood.

Having no other thought in my mind but the fact that he killed Alex.

With rage I move towards him with my clenched fist, swinging my arms with every muscle in me.

I miss.

He fades out of my mark.

I'm dazed at his move.

I look around but can't really see anything through the thick smoke radiating from the fire.

"your moves are lousy, people like you with no talent don't deserve to live, your existence is simply nothing but a mistake"

The man says.

Hearing these words I stand beside Alex's body in defense

on the spur of the moment a heavy hit on my nape sends me to the ground

I quickly grab a broken bottle and run towards him like a car with no brakes and he throws me to the ground the second and my vision becomes blurry as the last thing I see is this guy standing above and knocking me out.

I awaken and find myself on a bridge in between a traffic.

I'm trying to adjust to the environment I stand and walk down trying to figure out where I was and how I got there a whistle from afar drags my attention.

In font of my view of the sun a black bird like structure collides with ground.

Then a force pulls me back.
