Chapter 25 - The Dragon In The Tiger's Den[2]

Xior stood in front of the Wolf Tribe members as the Tigers cornered them from all sides. From among them two stepped forward, they were bigger and older than the others.

Numerous scars were present on their shredded body, they both carried identical greatswords, the only difference was that one was wearing an eye patch and one wasn't.

"There is no need to fight us human, we know information on how to complete the floor." One of them said as he approached Xior.

The other one trailed behind not saying anything. Xior looked up and glared the Tiger, the difference in size was not intimidating him at all rather he wanted to fight the old and experienced Tiger.

"How can I know that the information you have is correct? I have my own information about it as well." Xior said as he looked around and then back at him.

The Tiger lowered his head and moved his mouth towards Xior's ear, his heavy breath was heard by Xior before he whispered, "we know of the best hidden piece of the floor."

He backed away and let Xior ponder over it. Xior knew hidden pieces were mostly dangerous but had such amazing items that everyone wants to clear them.

Apart from there being a hidden piece for each tribe there were four more hidden pieces, two of those four were cleared by hunters of the other guilds.

If he was telling the truth then it would be beneficial for the Dragon Guild because the more there are Dragon Guild members among the top ten the more chances they will have to monopolize the next floors.

"Let's say what you said is true, what do I have to do to get information and location of that?" Xior asked as he took a few steps forward.

"Kill the Wolves behind you, simple and bring us the head of the Wolves whore Vice Chief Kayla. That bitch killed my son." The other Tiger roared infuriatingly.

Xior looked at the Wolf Tribe members behind him, they hadn't recovered fully, they still looked weak and malnourished. They just have some more energy now.

"That's all?" Xior asked.

Then he moved his hand and took out Rain's sword from his inventory and spun around confusing everyone and then swung the sword. A bright arc of fire brightened the surroundings before cutting a few Tiger Tribe members down.

"What's the meaning of this you bastard?"

"I thought we had a deal."

"I told you to not trust a filthy human, now look at him glaring at us with his creepy eyes."

Xior jumped forward and swung the sword vertically but the sword was blocked by one of the Tigers.

Xior dodged the strike from the other one and shot out fire arrows with his free hand. Some struck them and some didn't. The Tigers pounced on him from both sides.

When he blocked one the other got in his weak spot, he constantly jumped away and avoid an injury right now since it would be a hinderance in the fight.

Xior was shouldered and he hit the ground hard, dirt went inside his mouth as he tasted all types of things, his own blood, the blood of the tigers and the dirt which made him choke.

His head bled from the impact but it healed instantly leaving behind his bones which snapped back like a stretched rubber band.

He got up and stretched, both of the Tigers looked at him in disbelief. His bones were broken and his body was bent but it all healed too quickly for their eyes to see.

"Is this all you got? You're not better than fucking house cats this way." Xior blurted out, his black eyes penetrating their soul.

Xior took out another sword from his inventory, this one was smaller than Rain's sword but was on par with its quality.

His wrists glowed and Rain's sword got covered with fire and his own got covered with jagged icy spikes.

"Let's start round two, shall we? You old cats."

Xior ran at them and slashed towards both, one blocked while the other dodged but this time their counter failed. Xior just blocked the strike towards his weak spot and twisted his body as he cut one of them on the chest.

One of them screamed as he got cut, Xior didn't waste time he engaged with the other one and blocked heavy blows from him. Their fight looked a mess, blood flew everywhere, Xior's arms laying on the ground but he had constantly regenerated.

As Xior was engaged in a one on one with the second one, the first one who acted dead after Xior's slash acted like he was dead.

As soon as Xior's back was in front of him he tightly gripped his sword and hung it. The sword cut through Xior's neck neatly as his eyes felt heavy and his head was falling somehow.

Xior kicked the Tiger and grabbed his head which was cut off, he put it back on his neck and the cut off flesh and bones reattached themselves.

"Wow, that was a first even for me. I mostly lose limbs." Xior said.

Xior had shocked all of the Tigers present, his regeneration was unlike anything they had seen. As they stood there shocked Xior pierced one of the Tigers and killed him.

Gasps were heard from all over the place as the Tiger dropped dead on the ground. He was one of the seven elders of the Tiger Tribe and to be killed this way was shameful.

Xior grabbed the other one and put his sword on his neck, "let me leave otherwise this one dies as well."

The tigers which surrounded them made a way for him to leave, the Wolf Tribe members walked out in front of him and he trailed behind them, the Tiger Elder still in his arms with a sword on his neck.

They reached the exit and the Wolf Tribe members finally stepped foot outside of the Tiger Tribe, Xior looked at the Tigers looking at him, "I will only leave him alive if you guys don't follow me or attack me." Xior said as he loosened the grip on the Elder and kicked him towards them.
