Ra POV
Looking out the tall wide window of my living room with my scotch in my hand I start to think back on the journey we had taken to get to where we currently are. Yes, we may be gods hiding in the mortal realm but we are free to move about to a degree. We're not confined to small realms like some other pantheons. The bigger pantheons have more room to travel where we want, better than the smaller ones. Unfortunately the lesser deities that had lost most if not all of their followers were unable to go between realms. Depending on the pantheon smaller deities don't have the power to go anywhere, once they are created they never leave the Celestial Realm. This happened even when the Egyptian Empire was still in all its glory. Many of the lesser deities from the earlier part of the Ancient Egyptian Empire had this rule imposed upon them. Those deities from the early part of the Empire that lost all their followers had turned into stone, some even turned into a pile of rubble. The reason that they turned into rubble is because they had gone way too many years without any followers. This also happened because historical records of them have been lost due to either natural disasters, war, or other types of events that have caused the records to be lost.
I sit in the rays of the setting sun and my mind then drifts to how different the existence I'm living now is from the existence that I used to live in when I was an ancient Egyptian God. Even if I was to keep everyone in line it was a relatively easy existence. I wasn't a mortal so I don't have to sleep like they did. Also if I get tired of being in the Mortal Realm I could then ascend to the Celestial Realm this not only allowed for me to get away from the Mortal Realm. This allowed me and others to recharge our Celestial energy. Admittedly I also used to send them back if they became too mischievous. It was what the mortals started to call being grounded.
I continue down my memory lane as I watch the setting sun and continue nursing the scotch in my hand. I decided to walk to my greenhouse as I continue to reminisce about my history and my journey. I remember that the last time I and the gods that ascended with me went back to the celestial realm. We left the Mortal Realm in 35 BC with our empire still thriving and perfectly intact, only to look through the pool of water that shows us what is happening in the Mortal Realm. When we looked through it we were surprised to find out that it was 30 BC, and that the Roman Empire had taken over the Egyptian Empire. We also discovered that the reason for this was that Cleopatra IV and Marc Anthony had lost the Battle of Actium and thus sealed Egypt's fate. When finding this out we also discovered that both Cleopatra IV and Marc Anthony had died and the way that Cleopatra chose, thus allowing the Roman win. We were actually ashamed that Queen Cleopatra IV had actually committed suicide so she wouldn't be captured by Octavian and paraded through the streets of Rome. She also only committed suicide after she learned of her beloved Marc Anthony's death. Sadly she wasn't a beloved Queen like Cleopatra VII. Instead Cleopatra IV was remembered by the people for her ruthless ambitious self along with her violent end. We were in the Mortal Realm when Cleopatra III had her own daughter exiled from Egypt. Thus sending Cleopatra IV on the path to seek Rome's help reclaiming her throne like her father before her.
After seeing what was happening we were sad to think that with this Roman win 3,000 years of Egyptian history started its downfall. It was to be replaced with the Romans beliefs and the spread of Christianity to Egypt. I pause in my musings to stand and refill my scotch as well as cut some fruits to snack on. By this time I've moved further into my indoor greenhouse as it is now collecting the last remnants of the setting sun. This not only obviously helps the plants, but also allows my solar panels to gather energy from the sun. The panels are also connected to containers that store the energy until it is needed. As I continue to walk further into the indoor greenhouse I start back down my memory lane.
I recall that this year is the 2,054th year since the fall of the Ancient Egyptian Empire, and when Rome took over. This year also marks the 1,201st year since the mortals discovered the Rosetta Stone. This stone was discovered in 1799 and they then took a total of 23 years to fully crack its meaning. This year also marks the 70th year since myself and some of my companions descended to the Mortal Realm. Our reason was that we foolishly thought that eventually we wouldn't be able to go between the realms. We now know that isn't what happened but that's what we all thought. As these musings are crossing my mind I finally make it to my beautiful gold and red greenhouse.
As I reach the center of my personalized part of my greenhouse I sit on my beautifully crafted iron table set to finish watching the sun set and the moon rise, while I eat the fruits I cut and finish my scotch before I start to drink my evening tea. I enjoy watching the sun set as well as the moon rise, because of this it is normally where I sit to watch both the end of the day and the beginning of the night. This is also where I will head so that I recharge every two days. Being able to recharge so well is thanks to the Sunstone, Topaz, Carnelian and Lapis Lazuli stones that I have scattered throughout the greenhouse. Some of the stones I even had set into the stones used to build the greenhouse. These stones all bathe in the sunlight during the day and retain its energy so that I can use it to stay vibrant in my illusion, also so I can stay strong. The sunlight being turned into Celestial energy is to make up for the lack of worship/followers. When we had lots of followers and plenty of worshipers in the past the extra Celestial energy was used to grant 'wishes' of our worshipers. Now though these stones take the sunlight and then turn it into celestial energy that we now use to stabilize ourselves and keep from descending into a statue like state. This state is actually a form of suspended animation since we still look alive but are also as still as a painted statue.
My lovely greenhouse was constructed out of Sandstone and Limestone bricks that have been painted red and gold. These are in line with how many ancient temples and important buildings were constructed. In my greenhouse I have several floor to ceiling windows as well as panels in the ceiling like normal greenhouses. Inside my greenhouse I have a beautiful medium sized pond where I grow the Blue Lotus Flower that I am associated with from ancient times. I also have a bed of Mandrake planted about 3 feet from the pond. Near the pond I have planted the trees Persea and Tamarisk on either side of the pond. A few feet away from the pond I planted a Sycamore. Luckily for me I'm a divine being so I am capable of bringing plants that grew in ancient times from the Celestial Realm to where I am now and they will look exactly like they did then I look at them. The Celestial Realm that is designed for the Egyptian Pantheon looks exactly like it did in the ancient times. This means the climate, buildings, plants, and animals. Any time a normal person looks at plants that either don't look like the ones today that are only found in Egypt. My part of my greenhouse is in the front, when you first walk in you walk into the beautiful ensemble that is all things associated with myself.
I've also placed some small granite statues that are associated with the sun as well, even if they are of other gods, goddesses, and deities. These are placed all around the garden as well as the life-like statue-like bodies of my companions. While not all my fellow gods turned into this statue-like state, the ones that had ended up in my greenhouse. In an attempt to help my fellow gods awaken faster, I sectioned my greenhouse into large sections. With each of these sections I decorated each one to suit the statue-like companion that I placed in that section. I planted flowers that were associated with them as well as I tried to put decorations that had gemstones in them all. I also tried to incorporate the colors of each of my companions as well. Among each of the sections that are for my companions I had an ornament of some type with their symbol carved into it. For some it's a stone of their sacred animal, some it's just a large stone symbol that is associated with that god, and some of my companions had decorative flower pots with their symbols carved into the sides of them.
My greenhouse is almost like a large city because I've basically divided my greenhouse into so many smaller greenhouses. Thus it looks like a large city with all the buildings that make up the greenhouses. The reason for this is because my companions all have flowers and climates that are unique to them. Some are desert, some are in need of very fertile land, and then some of them have many different associations with the sky. I have a few trees in those sections so that animals that are of the sky can nest in them.
A few of my companions have small animals that are native to the climate they are in. These animals are like birds, butterflies, lizards, snakes, and things like that. In the desert climates I have also placed a few fennec foxes as well as a few roadrunners. Those with Lotus flowers will need a pond, lake, or river of some type so that the flowers can thrive properly. Like in the very front section when you first enter into my large city looking greenhouse, that is a section I have dedicated to myself with my favorite things. The beautiful pond is large with Blue Lotus Flowers that are associated with myself, they also happen to be a favorite of mine. In the bed to the left of mandrakes I also have planted modern day mint because I happen to like the way it smells. It also makes a very wonderful tea to have in the winter. On the banks of the pond I have planted beautiful roses. The roses are also on the left. To the left of the pond there is a cobble stone path that is lined with poppies and cornflowers on the right of the path. On the left there is also papyrus planted on the banks of the pond where there aren't any roses.
I also planted Grape Vines in the greenhouse, both red and purple. I also planted tamarisk not too far from the sycamore fig tree. During the summer I have Persea tea. It's a sacred tree that was called the Tree of Life in my past. Now I make a tea out of it, the tea from lemon is better though. I also have a pen that I keep my pet ram in, although it's not just any ram. It is a ram from ancient times so it's probably a little bigger than what we have today. I also have a lion that I rescued as a cub from a closing zoo that now has his own habitat in his own building. My pet cat, an Egyptian Mau, and my pet cobra both stay in my house. The cobra is actually no longer a real one, I figured it would be safer to have a taxidermied one since I wouldn't have to worry that it would ever escape.
