Since it was 1955 when we first descended back to the Earthen realm and we had absolutely no idea how the earth now operated. Neither did we know what the rules of the world were now. Due to this we silently hid away in a long forgotten mostly buried temple. After we found this place we were able to find some rooms of the temple that were buried but were easy to get to so we could easily hide. We then decided to hide out and one of us would sneak out and into the population. The reason for this is that we needed the knowledge of how the current technology worked, along with the current world.
As we would all look suspicious if we didn't know a thing of what is considered common knowledge. So I suppose it is a good thing for us that we concealed ourselves to observe what the world had become after the fall of all ancient civilizations. As we hid out one of us would always disguise ourselves and head out to learn about the technology at first. Then as time ticked on we decided to add literature and other things we would need to know. Nobody would ever have guessed that we were Ancient Egyptian God's, but it would have looked very odd if a group that looked like a collection of late teens to mid 30's people couldn't operate simple technology.
And we are trying to stay unnoticed and appear as normal as possible. Yes later we will very much all be noticed and in the spotlight as we each will become famous well known figures of the areas we have each chosen. These areas each complement what we are known for and what gives us power. Slowly we settled getting used to the way this world now works, the politics of it all, and the overall hierarchy of the world. At first it was very difficult to wrap our heads around the technology and modern day conveniences that were now deemed normal. What we called luxury was not the norm and sometimes frowned upon.
